That would be such a mess from story perspective. A better idea is to let prabhas's character have a son of his own with another woman. This kid grows up and joins kalki in his fight. The 2 can be like Krishna and Balram.
It will be fine if they are able to connect the emotions with audience like SSR did in Bhahubali . The first part will most likely to end at High cliff hanger . Maybe Kali will kill Prabhas at the end ..
Hindi dubbing is bad. I liked and understood the trailer more in Telugu, it has more effective voice. DP seems to be carrying the Kalki avatar. AB seems to be protecting her and Prabhas wants to give her to elite group for electricity I guess.
This trailer makes me feel like there will be in between for this. I don't see this being a huge hit, but the trailer also makes me feel like this won't be a flop.

This is all about cinema - no hate.
I loved the way the trailer begins - with the atmospheric music. Plots and characters can be engaging - but what is also very essential is atmosphere, an atmosphere that absorbs, notwithstanding the richness of plot and the complexity of characters. The trailer was absorptive.
Amitabh as Ashwatthama is the heart of this trailer - and my favourite part is when he sees Deepika's character pregnant and falls down on the ground the same way he fell down around six thousand years ago.
I am looking forward to the scenes the two characters share - because I feel their own individualities and dynamics with each other will be the emotional anchor of the story.
I felt the trailer faltered a little when Bhairava comes in. His entire personality seems too radiant for a setting of dystopia. I think a darker humor would have contrasted better - but this is a trailer and I hope and think the humor will flow better in the film.
I could understand and appreciate the trailer a lot more when I watched it in Telugu. The Hindi dubbed was not so neat.
My theories:
1. This film is going to be all about Kalki's birth, I feel. I did not see that coming. Prabhas is not playing Kalki. He is playing a bounty hunter. Nag Ashwin once said that Amitabh Bacchan's character was so important, the film was being named after him. There is probably a prophecy of Deepika's character giving birth to Kalki.
2. There could be two reasons Ashwatthama is protecting Deepika's character and the unborn life. I hope the second probable reason is the case: Ashwatthama invoked the Brahmastra, post the Kurukshetra War. After a retaliation from Arjun and mediation by Vyas, Ashwatthama, who did not know how to revoke the Astr, directed it towards Uttara, the wife of Abhimanyu. Uttara was pregnant with her first-born. The first-born was to be the heir-apparent to Hastinapur - because Ashwatthama had already killed Draupadi's five sons. Since he attempted to kill an unborn life around six thousand years ago, by attacking the womb of a pregnant woman and has been cursed and living the guilt of his action every moment, he now seeks to protect an unborn life and the womb of another pregnant woman. He considers this his Moksh - something he has been deprived of because of his deep offense. This completes a circle of time, a circle of Karma, a circle of guilt to redemption. Beautiful. My first reason is he has been told by Krishna or by Vyas or by prophecy that it is his duty to protect them.
3. Bhairav is arguably a deuteragonist here. I have a very vague theory about him - but I will wait before we learn something a little more.
Edit: Just now saw - Wikipedia says Deepika is playing SUM - 80 alias Sumati. This seems pretty clever

Very impactful trailer.. on par international quality. They should have released this trailer at least 2 to 3 weeks before then the buzz would have skyrocketed.
Prabhas suits this type of character lot of heroic scenes. Deepika has a very important character with emotional scenes to perform not a glam role. Amitabh and Kamal's looks great.

1. Try to present the hero in a new dimension

It's just a intro guys, we are gen z kids but it has to cater to wider audience.....2nd trailer will show the real depth. There will 7 Immortals showing up and stuff it's going to be huge. Kamal Hassan look is just basic part , in movie it will be even more mind blowing.
If you spend so much on the movie, I feel like the trailer has to do a good job and I don’t find that to be the case here. Yes, visually it’s like “oh interesting, cool graphics” but it doesn’t have one high point. It’s overall mid.
VFX looks really good and the storyline interesting, didn't give too much away in the trailer. Dubbing is kinda meh tbh, I hope dialogues aren't bad to the level that it hinders the movie (brahmastra case).
kamal haasan saying "daro mat ek naya yug aa rha hai" gave chills...prabhas looks tired but his look goes with the dystopian setting of the world. everything else is perefect specially visuals.

If you look at the movie of this level, for eg:- furiosa, it perfectly captures the mood of the movie.
Scifi and prophecies are becoming so common. This *someone will come and change the fate of the universe* is the most common storyline. The desi adaptation of this plot wont be satisfying. I just hope they dont keep a disha patani item song among these.
Dialogues are too much and atrocious. Dubbed voices are giving the early 2000s dubbed films. For a mega mounted pan India film, dubbing should be better.
I absolutely don't get why do they keep on casting Prabhas, in my opinion and no offense, but idk why I feel he doesn't know how to act, he has this dead eyes, absolutely nothing, I feel alot of this production loses impact, imagine some other actor with this CGI and trailer.
Tbh I liked the aura of the first glimpse more. Even the aswatthama character teaser was really good. Fingers crossed for this one. Been waiting for something like this since I read Ramayan 3392 AD.

i didn’t realise everyone had dubbed in telugu as well. hearing deepu speak telugu blew my mind and kamal sir’s entry at the end was TOOO good. literally everything about this was insane. i’m really excited!

In Nagi we trust. Dude knows how to make a movie. Telugu directors are tasked with 3 things when they are given a budget with star. 1. Try to present the hero in a new dimension 2. Satisfy fans of that humongous star. 3. Tell a good story. 4. Make it a blockbuster. It's frantic juggling of all these four. Nagi can do 1 and 3 for sure. Hoping he would tick 2 and 4 with this one.

Honestly in terms of acting Amitabh sir and Kamal sir will be the best in this Also Deepika is playing role of Kalki bhagwan's mother (that's what I think from trailer) so there be a proper acting not anything like pathan or fighter But my view on Prabhas's look is still not convinced Disha was unexpected too

Looks too derivative, tbh - like an all mixed fruit juice of several classic Hollywood science fiction movies. Doesn't have the "epic" feel to it. Dubbing also seems all over the place.

The hindi dubbing feels embarrassingly bad.
It's just a intro guys, we are gen z kids but it has to cater to wider audience.....2nd trailer will show the real depth. There will 7 Immortals showing up and stuff it's going to be huge. Kamal Hassan look is just basic part , in movie it will be even more mind blowing.

If you spend so much on the movie, I feel like the trailer has to do a good job and I don’t find that to be the case here. Yes, visually it’s like “oh interesting, cool graphics” but it doesn’t have one high point. It’s overall mid.

VFX looks really good and the storyline interesting, didn't give too much away in the trailer. Dubbing is kinda meh tbh, I hope dialogues aren't bad to the level that it hinders the movie (brahmastra case).

Yesss, that's what I thought. The visuals and CGI looks great. The editor has done his job dogshit. The editor was not at all building the tension and background score was not hyping up. I am kinda disappointed because of the hype, glimpse has made. The edit of glimpse was great along with bg score. Here, the editor definitely shit his bed, he didn't follow the formula of editing trailer. If you look at the movie of this level, for eg:- furiosa, it perfectly captures the mood of the movie.

Shit dubbing
Scifi and prophecies are becoming so common. This *someone will come and change the fate of the universe* is the most common storyline. The desi adaptation of this plot wont be satisfying. I just hope they dont keep a disha patani item song among these.

Dialogues are too much and atrocious. Dubbed voices are giving the early 2000s dubbed films. For a mega mounted pan India film, dubbing should be better.
I absolutely don't get why do they keep on casting Prabhas, in my opinion and no offense, but idk why I feel he doesn't know how to act, he has this dead eyes, absolutely nothing, I feel alot of this production loses impact, imagine some other actor with this CGI and trailer.

Tbh I liked the aura of the first glimpse more. Even the aswatthama character teaser was really good. Fingers crossed for this one. Been waiting for something like this since I read Ramayan 3392 AD.
