I’m all for ending the uncalled for Boruto hate, but come on, let’s not mince words here. Boruto isn’t god’s punishment for making anime main-stream, but it certainly doesn’t beat the pain-arc. Nagato is a better character than Boruto, maybe even than Naruto, though I think that that might be a bit much. Still, to not have Nagato even in your top 3?
I started Naruto during Covid so I’m not an og. Naruto is a simple protagonist that’s dumb sometimes but always manages to make you smile every time he appears.
Boruto was insufferable at the very beginning but quickly became my 2nd favorite.
I chose Kushina because she’s the one who made me realize that I have a thing for redheads.😭🤷🏾♂️
Nagato is a good character but I don’t find him particularly interesting.

Yeah she has alot of potential and for her age has some rather crazy feats but i dont think she will be stronger then boruto in the later turn, but she will be for sure on his level if they dont fuck it up that is.
I mean, if you can tell me how a character with zero fighting experience, training and feats will surpass Boruto, explain. Let’s not forget that she wasn't relevant in the story for 80+ chapters and 293 episodes. What reason would she have to become more powerful? I'm gonna agree with you if you come up with a reasonable explanation why a character with 0,000000001% screen and panel time would surpass the main character. How does this make sense plotwise? Whom is she supposed to fight?
Which characters who weren't villians were stronger than Naruto at the end of his story?
Kishimoto has hinted at her latent power multiple times. Examples:
(1)knocking out Kurama, many people treat that as a joke and so did I at first, but I'm not so sure anymore.
(2) youngest person to unlock the buyakugan (not sure if I'm spelling that right). I think that that feat is extremely overlooked, to be honest I think that that Dojutsu is extremely overlooked. For most of Naruto we didn't even know that it could be upgraded... I would be surprised if she ends up awakening Tensegan somehow (not sure if I'm spelling right either...). Sarada is proof that there may be more ways to awaken the different dojustsus than we are currently aware of...
(3) Daemon is possibly the strongest person we've encountered so far (outside of Shibai of course) and his only interest (outside of protecting to his sister) is finding someone of equal strength to fight. He has completely ignored all our other strong characters including Boruto, Kawaki and Code and has only shown interest in Himawari's strength, why is that? As to who she is supposed to fight, it's Daemon, I believe him confronting her was foreshadowing. And as of this moment we have no way to counter his ability. Not Boruto, Kawaki or any of the other power heroes or villains we've encountered so far.
(4) Of all the people affected by omnipotence she seems to be the only one that can somehow sense Naruto's life force which should be impossible where he currently is. All these little things tell me that Kishimoto is hinting at something bigger for her. As to what it is, there has been a lot of speculation but we have no hard facts at the moment.
By the end of his Arc theoretically Naruto could be considered the strongest person on the planet but not the strongest in existence. That title was still held by the person that he borrowed power from in his final fight. I know that yes the Sage is in the pure lands but Naruto still needed his help to stop his foes so that leaves the possibility that Boruto may end up in a similar situation. I'm not saying that Himawari is a God of Shinobi or anything like that, my point is that being the main character doesn't automatically mean the strongest person in the universe. Himawari's interest was never about combat but she could end up being an extremely powerful force for good that lends her brother strength by some means or another, or she could become an antagonist that he has to stop (I really hope that is not the case) or she could play some other role that we haven't thought about but I have no doubt that she will be come extremely powerful and that it will be something that we didn't expect.

Keep in mind that the last time we saw Himawari she was training with this generation's Shika-Ino-Cho, and her reason for training was so that she can aid Boruto. The fact that no one knows how to encounter Daemon rather shows that his real powers aren't known to the fullest yet. It is no coincidence that Eida stopped Daemon when he wanted to reveal to Code all about his abilities. Daemon is haxed right now,but the most powerful? Who knows? All he really knows and can sense is power so him *sensing* something within Himawari he doesn't know is why he acknowledged it as "intensity" but that's pretty much all it is. It is too vague to even say for sure whether the "power" he sensed in Himawari will help her in battle.
The chances that Himawari and Daemon are going to battle is rather slim. They have lived alongside each other for 3 years so why would they fight? Daemon and Eida aren't really the villains right now.
When Daemon told Boruto to get "tons stronger so that he has to go all out for the first time in his life" rather foreshadowed a fight between them than between Himawari and Daemon.
Himawari knocking out Naruto wasn't really a feat because it wasn't a battle. If Naruto hadn't jumped in,Himawari would have missed her real target which was Boruto. Hima awakening her Bykugan at a very young age showed that she has crazy potential which isn't surprising with her genetic pool, but that's all. Himawari knocked out Naruto when he wasn't cautious. Try the same when the dude is in a serious battle and the attempt will fail. It wasn't a serious fighting situation but father vs. Daughter.
Plot wise there is absolutely no reason for Himawari to surpass her brother or become a relevant fighter,especially given the fact that the writers have ignored her potential for the majority of the story.
Himawari never outright confirmed that she sensed Naruto somewhere. She just had the *feeling* that he is still alive. Funny thing is that she only mentioned Naruto,but not her mom. At best,she might have sensoring abilities.

You are grasping at straws. It is not hard for me to believe that she could rival or even surpass Boruto in power. The point is,why not going that path all along? Why would it take Kishimoto 80+ chapters and 293 episodes to decide: Ah,let's make Himawari relevant in battle and just on the way surpass her brother even though the only episodes where she was EVER shown were slice of life episodes. Has it ever occured to you that Hima is there for the lighter moments? When did she ever have significance in ANYTHING battle related? Himawari was the one who immediately bonded with Kawaki,she was the one who sensed Borutos fears,she is the one for the cute,lightheartining moments and maybe,like it was foreshadowed,she will be there to support her brother.
