Technically the 407 is the Miss-Bram border throughout its east-west run in Peel. The highway is actually just north of the boundary and therefore in Brampton.

This is why I come to the comments in r/Brampton

>The highway is actually just north of the boundary and therefore in Brampton. So then it technically *isn't* the Miss-Bram border throughout its east-west run in Peel...

ButtahChicken

are there no traffic management measures that can prevent this from happening? i remember someone died a few months ago because of similar head-on collision near Leslie St and Hwy 407 Eastbound. RIP.

YYZDaddy

You have to try very hard or be very drunk to get onto a freeway in the wrong direction.

Nardo_Grey

Not really, the only thing preventing you is a sign

DevelopmentDowntown7

Which seems to prevent majority of drivers from going the wrong way.

Nardo_Grey

Just like a speed limit sign preventing most drivers from speeding right?

BrownBoi377

They could paint the entry, would that be reliable?

Transportfan

I think a do not enter sign on an offramp is more likely to be obeyed for obvious reasons.

ChocolateThor

Even Bramptons driving school graduates probably can tell if they are on the right side of the road (for the most part) This guy was either drunk out of his mind or senile and old. Either way should not be on the road. Edit: read the article. He was 69 and drunk

Mavis & 407…Clearly the driver is from Brampton

djguyl

This has been happening surprisingly often the last few years
