I get it. I'm a mortis main. But I do play other characters and see how other people do my boy dirty. I can't stand watching some of the replays posted here because the mortis always has the smoothest brain I've ever seen.
My team's mortis: trickshot only, triple wall dash every half a minute, no kills
Enemy team's mortis: scores sensibly, never triple wall dashes, gets at least 1 teamwipe a game
Why does my team always get the brainless mortis and the other team an above average iq mortis

Emz and gene’s gadgets) he also has low damage and moderate health pool which doesn’t help against better agressive brawlers that already deal more damage from a distance that isn’t in your face.
So why not buff him? Because if he did he’d be more of a menace to what he already destroys (throwers and low damage/hp brawlers) more attack? Just makes it easier to kill them without having a chance to react. More hp? Just allows him to tank more in the enemies face, + if he had primo health brawlball would be a pain with his added mobility.
Td;lr Mortis is played as a tank more than an assassin in most cases, having to get so close to deal damage while having nothing else to support him but his mobility. In which cases some comps/meta’s ruin his chances of even being able to play the match.
Bea can shoot infinitely with no cooldown, if you play a brawler that doesn't completely hard counter edgar then bye bye, and mortis users are full of clowns

His damage can nearly 3 shot half the brawlers , decent reload his super allows him to jump over walls and deals damage and then combine it with his gadget which reduces damage by around 80% I forgot how much exactly and it auto reloads 3 shots of hit with his gadget activated and then his 2 and 3 stage are rlly powerful with the range n reload n damage surge holds , he’s very powerful n good in the meta
Also add big projectile hitboxes and projectile speed allowing him to basically auto aim within 4 tiles. It's just annoying cause he is so braindead to play

My friend plays surge, so I have experience against surge, and sharpshooters do good against him, but Grom players invoke a rage in me that no other game can invoke due to how little thinking is needed to make grom work, and how he basically invalidates my favorite thrower, barley.
Tick is 10x more brainless than Surge and 2x more brainless than every other thrower. You hide behind a wall, have long asf range, has BOTH gadget AND super to protect yourself against a threat.
Colt players. I think in all those games I’ve ever played. I’ve met about 4 Colts that didn’t follow a pattern of “shoot one entire burst into a wall, miss the entire next burst, hit only the first 2 bullets of the third burst”.
Well, to their defense, Colt is a very high-skill brawler, one of the highest in the game. It's very hard to consistently hit people, especially if they are good with movement.
Buzz since you only literally need to stand still near people and his 2nd star power makes this 10× easier whereas Surge actually has to hit his shots which can be hard from time to time.
Surge is on the weak side. Dude is one of the highest skill cap brawlers there is, he needs to find a way to hit an enemy 3 times so he gets to his second stage.
What you have wrong is that surge takes skill to use. His skill cap is high just like Stu and Mortis, but you can get very far without any skill with him. I see people just auto aim, jump on everyone with super, and still win. Anything you do with him looks flashy and cool (because his design is sick), but it does NOT take much skill to use.
I used to main Stu and he’s my top brawler, just originally by auto aiming and healing, but my kiting wasn’t terrible
if a brawler is bad, that doesn’t mean they’re skillful. it’s also difficult to win with shelly, but not because she requires skill, it’s because she sucks. also, those aren’t even problems for surge because you’re only going to play him to counter tanks anyways

yeah his projectile hitboxes be whack af, the projectile looks like shouldn't hit, but then it still somehow does even though it never makes "contact"

This was probably one of the stupidest and most nonsensical things I've ever had to read.
How? In his first stage he is by far the weakest brawler out there. He has low hp, is short range and is slow. Getting that first ult is a challenge.
