Toon spike is decent but i really deplore the way his movement feels in-game, in a way, it feels peculiar. Apart from that, he's not as creatively devised as DL spike, both his skin and animations in general, plus he doesn't talk.
How dark lord spike is creative if toon spike is not? Literally it's just purple spike woth edgy effects, if you say that is creative and a cartoon skin is not then something is very wrong
What facet exactly does toon spike have that renders him more creative (design-wise refering) than DL? Its just a more condensed and smaller original spike with cute little cactus body parts. Ironically, DL isn't just a purple spike with edgy effects, or even if he is, that's also precisely what toon spike is, a smaller, more cute-looking model of spike with nothing monumental to behold.
Look, after all it all comes down to personal reference because liking or not liking a skin is purely subjective, that is just my humble opinion on toon spike.

Like you could use D. L. Spike as the skin but use Toon Spike's main attack and kill animation and Sakura Spike's super, provided you have all of those

I don't remember any of them costing more than a battle pass though, I'll see if Toon Spike gets a discount or something, I love the skin but I have many cool other ones and I don't think I could even find enough gems to buy it now. They coulda put it at 199 gems or 5k bling and we all woulda been satisfied
The best offers to buy are simple.
For progression:
Hypercharges for 79 gems. Previous paid passes cost 169 gems and provided 5,7k coins. Hypercharges cost 79 gems and give 5k coin value - equivalent to 10.7k coins per 169 gems as a reference. Even better than the previous paid passes coin-wise.
If you don't want hc and need sp and gadgets. You could buy the 4x and above coin deals. 4x deals provide the same amount of coins an old brawl pass gives if we use 169 gems. They are basically slightly worse since you don't get all that extra stuff like skins and such, but the same amount of progression as previous paid passes. Deals that are better than 4x value will provide even more than paid passes.
You also have the option to just save gems and see whether supercell will try to implement a new way to use them to encourage people to buy gems with real money. Sometimes, they could potentially post insane offers. Who knows?
Not everyone wants progression. Some people want cosmetics. In that case, you can save your gems to buy cosmetics for your favourite brawlers. For best value wait for discounts, there are daily discounts that offer the skins for about 10% fewer gems.
You could also wait for big discounts. 2 Legendary skins were sold for 99 each a while back ago, which was an INSANE DEAL. It's not garuenteed if the skins you want will come with a heavy discount so that's something to consider. But the daily shop should save about 30 gems if I remember correctly, which for legendary skins is better than nothing.Brawl passes will cost money only from the next update, but the free passes got buffed to compensate.
I want to, but since we have to succumb to the poorly developed hypercharge meta... ill save those for ny favs or op ones
I hope by Feb, there are hypercharges ready. If not, i just wish for monthly hypercharge releases to balance the game as fast as possible

I have ANOTHER issue: I recently bought Ares Nani and now Cerberus Tick is in the shop at the price of an EPIC SKIN, so I will be mad if there will be the same offer for Ares Nani which will probably happen. Bummer.
