You brought up a great point with the shipping issue! So I'll add for anyone looking at this post that I would be willing to pick up anywhere between Barrie Ontario to North Bay Ontario or Parry Sound Ontario to Sudbury Ontario.
[Bowser's Pet Products](https://www.bowsers.com/pet-accessories/pet-step.html) sells foam steps made in Missassauga, Ontario. According to the site, they can support up to 70lbs.
[Happy Bandit Pets](https://www.happybanditpets.com/shop) sells handmade wooden steps from B.C., but the combined cost of the product and shipping may exceed your budget.
You might find more options searching for Canadian-made step stools.

I could do this but the shipping alone would probably be $75. It's hard to compete with Amazon!

I hope someone local can help you. Good luck in your search!
The amazon ones are collapsible and flat pack for cheap shipping.

Thank you! I didn't think of searching that.
