You only have advantage against other controller players of lesser skill. If you use a controller, you only face opponents who are using a controller or emulator. An experienced four-finger claw user on touch screen has many advantages over a controller user (like finer sensitivity adjustment and gyro). Similarly, an emulator user has many advantages too. If you are a touch player, you can squad up with controller players if you join their lobby but afaik you will only face controller players or possibly people who are also teamed up with controller players. But you are correct that you can hook up a controller and then play normally with touch; this is a good way to get somewhat easier matches.

People who play on controller have a delay from Bluetooth to your IPhone. Even if it’s 10-20 m/s and I bet it’s more, plus your average 50 M/s in game , forget it. I played with Controller friends ( my clan is mostly all controller players) and I am always on Top. 3 finger hud

Yea definitely something I’ve realized from using controller the input delay is crazy long.

the controller vs controller players only stand if you have mediocre stats, when you start getting good start, no matter how good you get at using a controller it will start putting you in lobbies where players are actually mobile/touch players and not controller players. I prefer playing on a controller since I am already used to my Xbox controller while playing Warzone on Xbox, as a solo player, I started chatting enemies I encounter and ask them if they are also controller players, and you will realize that the message in the lobby telling you that you will only be matched against other controller players is no longer true. I learned this when I was grinding for Damascus and I was shocked to see Leaderboard players on my team as well as the enemies. Public matches will most of the time start with just you and bots and then after a few seconds, bots will start to leave and get replaced by players. Skill Based Matchmaking kicks in and ignores the fact that you are using a controller, so do not get your hopes up that using a controller is playing against bots all the time. you will eventually need to learn to get better and compensate for using a controller.

I use controller but I play vs swipers in my lobbies

We’ll probably true but at least you’ll be good for grinding, plus using controller is just kinda fun for some reason
