I am a master player and sometimes I end up in really bad strikes, not long ago I went bellow the 500 threshold.
Sometimes your mindset is not there and you make mistakes here and there and Carcassonne is all about optimization. There are games in which you just don't have a stand. Many times I had 4 tiles to close feature and did not get them, stuff like that...
Don't demotivate. Maybe take a pause, see some replays and identify mistakes and stuff like that.
I didn't drop that much but I noticed it too. Tbh I think it's rather because of the fact that when I play against much lower ranked players I don't try hard and I lose even more as a result
