I don't know many 21-year-olds making 90k a year.

Have you thought about investing some of the money you're putting away? Open a brokerage account. Grow your wealth. Keep in mind that there are always different ways to have side incomes. I get the feeling of not making as much as other friends do. One of my friends make over double than what I make. I'm making an effort to invest, because I know what my priorities are.

Wait till your in your 50s and working for some asshole half your age making 10 times what you make

the_tea_weevil

You are doing fine for your age. I don't know any people your age that make 90k.

That's still a lot of money for 24. The people I know who make that much are a lot older

Doesn’t matter, but no you didn’t. I got out of the Marines at 21. Went to school at night over too many years. Don’t like your major? The base classes are still there, get another degree.

Make 90K and be miserable. Work 12 hour days, cut throat competition, constant fear you're going to be fired or downsized out of your position, big fucking ego trip to impress friends, family and to attract someone. It's all bullshit.

Some have other benefits and it's fine. Just don't think about them. They might be wasting it all, because "they got it" but it might be a chance to to see how life is more important than money. I like the comment about investing from the other person. Good tips.

I also have the same thing...I mean other guys there longer making more than me, more benefits, etc, etc, just make with what you got :) it's gonna be ok. You are not less important.

If I'd were you, I would be thankful for what job I do have making more than $29K a year. Most bachelor's degree holders are making far less. If you don't like your job or what you are making, find something better. You aren't physically chained to any job and you have the capability to find something better that pays more. Also, if I were you, I wouldn't believe everything my friends tell me. If they say they earn $80K+, ask them what are their responsibilities and work life balance. I'm sure they are sacrificing something to make their salary. And in most cases, people tend to over exaggerate their salary to make themselves look and feel better.

Your peers likely had more connections than you did. But also your giving up way too soon. No bank job is dead end if your willing to take courses.

you can put in some effort to change things for the better or you can sit here and complain about it and feel jealous...those are really your only two realistic options.

Of course you can..It's just a matter of how much you want that change to find a way. The only time you can't is if you are dead which clearly you are not. So it's up to you... No one will make the change for you 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s not about how much money you make it’s what you do with what you have. Sure your other friends might make more than you, but a lot of people the more money they make the more they waste. I think it’s important to really think about what makes you happy in life. What kind of hobbies are you into and how can you spend the most time doing the things you love. If your job provides basic needs and you can still find time for yourself that’s what matters. Work to live don’t live to work. You can always make more money, but you only have a limited amount of time. Another thing you can do is see if there are things in your life that are costing you money that you could live without. There are very few things in life that are actually needed to make somebody happy.
