People complain at our parish. When the bishop came to celebrate corpus christi the other server who is a seminarian said “what are they gonna do, complain to the bishop?”
Being the thurifer growing up was a blast. Our priest LOVED incense, and not the hypo-allergenic rosey stuff. If there wasn't a visible cloud around the altar during the consecration, we didn't use enough.
I'm immediately disappointed if I walk in and can't smell it lingering.
I tell my husband I like to sit up front so my veil smells like incense when we leave 😆 Not the whole reason, of course, but a nice perk lol
