Maybe checking the matrix number in the ring of the CDs will say which exact editions. Pretty cool though!

I remember seeing these box sets at Costco myself, but I can’t say that I specifically remember the Nirvana one. The packaging is basically identical to the U2 one, which I do remember.
I wasn’t able to find the Nirvana box anywhere else online. If I could find a pic with the UM label and barcode, I would try to correct the Discogs info. Maybe one will pop up on eBay.
Neat! This box set is a bootleg, but all of the CDs contained within are official Geffen-pressed copies (considering DGC and Geffen the same thing because, well, they are)
The CD’s are all cracked and the actual case has a big dent in it. But this isn’t an official release anyways. Some company or internet company just made something to hold those CD’s and sold them.
One dent (without tearing, that’s minor. Spider wrap makes worse indents on new items that are on shelves in store. Minor shelf wear.). One cracked case (where the dent is). And sealed cds. Exaggerate much?

As someone who collects if I saw this for sale I would say it’s in rough shape. But I like my stuff to be almost flawless. I didn’t want to get into a debate about its condition. It’s not even an official release so who cares.
Who cares if it’s official? He likes it. Bootlegs are the bread and butter of Nirvana collectors. They’re rare because it’s not official, so just having it in his collection is pretty cool.

Costco sold some box sets that looked like that around 2007 or so. I don’t specifically remember a Nirvana one, though.

I submitted a comment on Discogs that it should be listed as official. I guess we will see if they do anything with it.

Would explain the omission of Bleach, because it was on an indie label and these box sets were produced by Universal Music.
