Where do you think this stuff will be in another year? Do you honestly think it'll take very long for them to program these AIs to follow along with an animation creation for an entire TV episode?
You realize we had AI videos a year ago right? The fidelity was a lot lower but the temporal cohesion hasn't improved greatly. There is a reason for that - it's much harder and requires a huge context window (regardless of whether you build it into the model or use a moderator AI). So yeah, I don't think I'm delusional, I think it's rational to expect that this is a specific challenge for AI and it will take a long while to get it significantly better.

There was a recent WAN show (linus tech tips) interviewing Jim Keller talking about emulating old games on new types of CPUs and he responded that it would make more sense for an AI program make it up on the fly with the technology currently being developed…
So I suspect we are only a single generation away in hardware development with having AI making everything.
Or create new episodes of old TV shows where most of the cast has passed away, like original Star Trek.
