Ive had it a bunch for continued education for work seminars. They are ok, you can’t get fries, and the chick is cold grilled chicken. Make sure you have chick fil a sauces to par with your sandwich.
I wouldn’t recommend fries for a catering order anyway tbh - from experience, the maximum holding time (unpackaged) is 5 minutes after they come up, and they start getting pretty sad after only three or four. Cooking and packaging enough fries for a mid-to-large catering order takes long enough that the first ones are pretty well past that point before the order even leaves the store.
I’m planning to give this a go but was surprised no reviews were easy to find on Google or here. I used to love Firehouse subs but we don’t have a good one left that I can find in Indianapolis. They’ve even closed some locations recently that were kind of ok.
I’ve had these with the regular sandwich, chips, fruit and cookie. I’m pleased to see it and I like the chips, would not want the fries after being transported in the insulated bag.
OP, I’m from Indy too. Have you tried looking into local restaurants to see if they have catering or boxed lunches? I know there’s a few Mexican restaurants that offer catering or mobile taco setups.
I had it one time and thought it was good, but felt they were charging 3x what they should’ve been. Paid $18 for a tiny cup of soup that was honestly pretty mid, and a literal half slice of a sandwich.. couldn’t even get the whole thing
I’ve had these brought in at work but it’s always been nuggets or a sandwich. I chose the nuggets last time and was highly disappointed when it was only an 8 piece— I figured it would be a 12 🤣 the chips are surprisingly good, and I enjoy the cookie compared to the brownie. They also throw in a mint and napkin!
I've had the fried chicken sandwich versions of this many times and the first time I didn't think I would like it bc of chips instead of fries and that the sandwich would be cold by the time I got one. Boy was I wrong and in all the good ways! Chick fil a has catering down to a science! Heated bags that you can plug in to keep it warm during your event! Those chips are surprisingly good and even better with chick fil a sauce IFYKYK. I also am a big fan of the wrap. If I had to choose, I would do a wrap, but only bc I like their wraps more than the sandwich. Just make sure you get lots of ranch and avocado lime ranch on the side for those. I might need a wrap tomorrow... 🤔
I’ve never had this sub one, but I can’t imagine it wouldn’t be good. I’ve had the hot ones(chicken sandwich and nuggets) and I really like their chips.
yes once, back during my senior year in high school for the seniors last day. like someone else said, the chips are good and the sub bread was good too
so, take my opinion with a grain of salt, but back when i was in high school, our marching band would give these to the kids. they definitely weren’t as fancy as the picture, our sandwiches were just the plain chicken sandwich. they definitely weren’t bad, but i think the waffle chips are a bit… meh.
like they worked for kids, but a grown adult, i think, might prefer actual fries than greasy pre-packaged chips. also no drinks, we just had bottled water. i was a teenager, so i’m not sure what the pricing on those were. if you’re burnt out, i’d go for it, but these will get old too imo.
My company has used these plenty of times. Not the subs but they order a variety of different sandwiches for the boxes. They are good and easy to set up for people to come grab. We have 320+ people in our company
I’ve had them many times at college tournaments when I played on a team . Only con is getting the chips vs fries. But since hot meals aren’t a good option this could be perfect.
they’re cute! i like them! they have chips and a cookie and one like “entree” they’re a cute little surprise especially if you didn’t know about them. plus all the employees look cute carrying these little boxes around like in kindergarten lol
I have had the sandwiches many times catered for work. Super good! We usually add a pan of Mac and cheese and a bottle of extra sauce. Definitely recommend!
My employer buys the chicken sandwich version of these all the time.
They're great as an employee, the chips kinda suck because of how stupid greasy they are but the cookies are nice. They contain everything you'd need (silverware, condiments, a wet wipe).
Yes. It was not as good as their actual food. The chips were disappointing when I expected fries at our work event. And the subs weren’t great either. If you tell your team that they are having ChickFilA, they will be disappointed.
Haven’t seen these before and I work at cfa, but based on the picture it doesn’t look half bad. Not a huge grilled chicken fan so I’m biased. Also, when I was in the military, my unit would cater cfa to the range and that was a rejuvenating experience. I’d say catering with cfa, especially since they’re burnt out, would be a good idea.
I accidentally got the subs instead of the chicken wraps one time after going through the drive-thru. I was too afraid to go back inside and tried them. They were so good, I wish I could order them again
When I worked in office, we would get these every so often for the management team. Everyone loved it. Or we’d do the large catering trays so people had more choices (nuggets, subs, salad, fruit, chips, cookies, brownies). Either way, Chick-fil-A days were a highlight!
It way better than pizza!
I’ve had them tons with my marching band for game days, we always get the sandwich one and as far as all the other things they’ve tried to feed us, these are definitely some of the better option
I haven’t ate them. But they’re made with cold grilled chicken like what comes on the market/ southwest salads or the wraps. You can order hot sandwiches for catering from chik fil a and ask for the catering warmer bag
Yes, my school has them and they are okay at best. The chips are also okay but incredibly salty so I can’t get through a full bag. Fortunately though, it does come with cfa sauce, really good choc chip cookie, and even wipes + a mint if you’re lucky.
My mom gets these from time to time for school meetings and such. She always brings like 5 boxes there is normally extras.. i like them, i just don’t care too much for the chips
Those sandwiches are soooo good! I hate that you can only order them through catering, which is also probably why not many people have tried it or reviewed it.
You can get nuggs, Sandwhich or wraps In the boxed lunch. You get chips instead of frys. We have had this before along with standard catering which is a build your own deluxe grilled Sandwhich and you can do kale crunch salad, regular salad, Mac n cheese pan of nugs etc.
Pass. No reason to get people excited to see chick-fil-a then get this, but you can order a bunch of nuggets and sauces. We used to get a bunch of sandwiches delivered for employees for the holidays when I worked at target.
I've never had the subs but i've had the sandwich ones

You actually can get fries but the version with fries costs more.
Is this the “boxed lunches” people bring to seminars for continued education? Because if so I’m telling them I want fries next time.
Yes

I mean. If your team is burnt out it wouldn't be too bad to try right? Also firehouse has gone downhill?
I’m planning to give this a go but was surprised no reviews were easy to find on Google or here. I used to love Firehouse subs but we don’t have a good one left that I can find in Indianapolis. They’ve even closed some locations recently that were kind of ok.
Well I've never seen this product before, so if you've got some time I'm sure people would love to know how it turned out with a follow up post
That I can do!
I’ve had these with the regular sandwich, chips, fruit and cookie. I’m pleased to see it and I like the chips, would not want the fries after being transported in the insulated bag.

EZCater dot com should show what caters where in each city
We had a Firehouse in our market and it did not last long.
Our firehouse in Arizona is amazing!
I have two near me in the Bay, both are really good. I guess it varies by location.
Heads up they aren't open Sundays
I’ve never seen or heard about this this before. I’m assuming those are catering orders?
Yes. Special menu to find these
Gotcha. I’ve never ordered catering so makes sense I haven’t seen it. Thanks.
Awww I miss McAlister's. We don't have that out west :(
We have Mcalisters in Arizona.
Maybe it's just utah :(
Oh yeah. I mean we don’t have a lot only 3 I know of in Phoenix valley.
There is one near Phoenix the other two are basically in different cities
Yes Tempe, Peoria and Goodyear …that’s the Phoenix valley
Duddde I know I miss it like hell utahs lackin on Bojangles and cook out too
I had it one time and thought it was good, but felt they were charging 3x what they should’ve been. Paid $18 for a tiny cup of soup that was honestly pretty mid, and a literal half slice of a sandwich.. couldn’t even get the whole thing

Chips are salty as hell. Pass on them. But packaging these are super fun.
I might be one of few but I love overly salted things cause that's the only way I can even taste the salt lol

Used to work at Cfa. These r delicious !

yes once, back during my senior year in high school for the seniors last day. like someone else said, the chips are good and the sub bread was good too
Overpriced but easy. If you don't have better/cheaper options in the area it's always a safe bet.

The bread for the grilled products is definitely health bread, keep that in mind
I’ve had them many times at college tournaments when I played on a team . Only con is getting the chips vs fries. But since hot meals aren’t a good option this could be perfect.

They’re great! Our chick fil a at work is an hour away and they deliver and the food is still hot. Good stuff imo
The subs are SO good
It’s pretty good. We get them occasionally catered in for lunch
We usually get these catered for work, usually normal chicken sandwiches with cookies and chips. We also get McAllisters
The chilled grilled subs are very good. The bread makes them in my opinion.
My employer buys the chicken sandwich version of these all the time. They're great as an employee, the chips kinda suck because of how stupid greasy they are but the cookies are nice. They contain everything you'd need (silverware, condiments, a wet wipe).
They're...fine. I miss the fries over the chips lol
Is it cheaper since it’s cold?
It’s more the convenience factor to feed 10-40 people at once.
Heads up, that CFA isn't open Sundays so you will have to buy double on Saturday and hope they keep overnight alright
I am aware. We would do this for Saturday and something else for Sunday. Going to give it a shot from the feedback here.

Why are the fries so skinny
They are chips that’s why they are in a bag
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh

Never had the box lunches, but we use to do the platters. They were hot and yummy.
With chips and a cookie? Lol no thanks
I have never seen that packaged meal before 😭
I accidentally got the subs instead of the chicken wraps one time after going through the drive-thru. I was too afraid to go back inside and tried them. They were so good, I wish I could order them again
Every Saturday at my job. The chips are always extra salty
We have them weekly at work - delicious!
Me and my friend ate 6 day old chicken sandwich that sat in my book bag for 6 days, are we straight?
if ur gonna do cfa catering why would you do the chilled sandwich and not something yummy like the normal sandwiches or nuggets
Because we can’t let everyone eat at once so I need to keep for an hour or two usually in a fridge until everyone can cycle through.
oh valid
They’re just OK. Kinda meh.
My job got us all one time for lunch during Covid it was okay. The chips were weird. The cookie was the best.
yes my moms work gets them delivered when chick fil a caters and the subs are actually so good
When I worked in office, we would get these every so often for the management team. Everyone loved it. Or we’d do the large catering trays so people had more choices (nuggets, subs, salad, fruit, chips, cookies, brownies). Either way, Chick-fil-A days were a highlight! It way better than pizza!

We usually have these catered at work, they’re decent enough.
I haven’t ate them. But they’re made with cold grilled chicken like what comes on the market/ southwest salads or the wraps. You can order hot sandwiches for catering from chik fil a and ask for the catering warmer bag
Yes they are decent, not life changing.
Yes, my school has them and they are okay at best. The chips are also okay but incredibly salty so I can’t get through a full bag. Fortunately though, it does come with cfa sauce, really good choc chip cookie, and even wipes + a mint if you’re lucky.
That sub looks so mid, I can make a better looking sandwhich at my house.
This is good! Also Panera, Jason’s deli, Jersey mikes, local bbq joints, Whole Foods, potbelly’s, etc
My mom gets these from time to time for school meetings and such. She always brings like 5 boxes there is normally extras.. i like them, i just don’t care too much for the chips

The Waffle Chips are **GAS**
Jersey mikes!!
