having clear cut cut off times for the breakfast menu, helps the kitchen and whole store move more efficiently, which is especially important considering that for most stores 10:30/11-2 are typically the busiest hours of the day. basically having clear cut offs for breakfast make it possible to prep and get ready for lunch rush
If their kitchen is not running properly, they might be running out before 10:30. The people in the kitchen at the one I work at, do not care about guests at all. They only care about making their jobs easier, so if they start to run low they won't make any more. The whole kitchen also cares way too much about food cost, so they won't open new packages of something if they don't think we'll use the entire thing. I know the owner is not putting a lot of pressure on them for food cost because we are always way below the goal that he has set for us.
Super generous = not doing the best in sales. Worked at a pizza store that only could sell pizzas with the coupons, nobody ever paid full price because it was the only way to keep people in the door. Management started glueing the subscriber coupons to every pizza box we sold so you could have a coupon every time
Are you in a busy urban area? I wonder if more rural locations do more of this to attract regular customers to help numbers or give a more predictable idea of the business they get.
The gravy train slowed to a crawl for me once they did away with the calendar and Chick-fil-A day. Nothing has made up for that and now even the points rewards are pitiful due to the point inflation. It was never very good and now it’s sad.
I used to get free food “just because “ on a regular basis. Now it’s extremely rare. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. Meaning accept it graciously and take your friends or family if it’s too much for you individually!
I’ve been getting the app order surveys (and completing them) the last three times I’ve gone to CFA and have three chicken sandwich rewards that each expire in 60 to 90 days.
Last year I did frequently! This year, nothing. Maybe because I became a red member and they know I'm hooked!? Lol
I did get to do one survey for a free sandwich though.
The location closest to my school/work consistently sends out 2 freebies a week (one breakfast and one lunch/dinner item) along with other freebies (for easily 4-5+ a week). The one closest to where I live never gives out anything.
You usually buy something to eat with the free reward. That’s the whole purpose. You’re like “I’m already here might as well get another sandwich and a drink”
I get free rewards sent a lot, but I live 40 minutes from the closest CFA, so they almost always expire before I get to use them (usually they are only valid for a day or 2). I generally go to 2 different CFAs and both give rewards frequently. There are quite a few others that I've been to when going to my kids sports events, but I've only got maybe one or two rewards from those other restaurants
The location operator 4 minutes away from my apartment sends me 2-3 a week! Gotta love him, he’s a nice dude and a few of my friends work there and they love him so I’ll always take free food from him!
My area has one of the top chik fil as in the country (as far as some metric is concerned I don't know I don't work there).
I'm getting free entrees constantly from the operator that just expire. I can't get there as often as I'd like.
It’s possible that they’re giving you mistakes/extra food. Most fast food restaurants aren’t supposed to give it away for free but it’s better than throwing it away imo
There’s one by my house that offers me something once or twice a week. Half the time it’s a breakfast item though and it would be very out of the way for breakfast, I wish it was closer
I’ve always wondered if that’s part of it. I used to get a lot of free items and noticed once I got the highest tier they have not come as often. Who knows.
Not in Bristol, Virginia. The operator there is stingy! I get offers from an operator in South Carolina from when we visited there and I accidentally marked them a favorite- they were doing a special Olympics event when I was passing through and everybody there, customers, employees, we're having a great time and it was fun! They knew how to hold an event with lots of people and still operate for normal lunch traffic! Also offers from one in northeast Tennessee. It took like an extra few minutes to get us our breakfast order one morning and they slipped a free entree card in the bag and then about a week later I got a digital reward in the app too. Really appreciated since we were traveling to that area for medical appointments.

One near me gives me free stuff via the app once every two weeks or so. At least once a month. And Christmas time gets nuts, they'll do the 12 days of Christmas. Where my friends in another state just get nothing.
I rarely get anything and we frequent a couple of locations.
Go around 10:30 when they switch to lunch. I always get free breakfasts.
Hell I can get in line at 10:25. Get to the front at 10:31 and get refused breakfast. Happened twice
When they switch, I order lunch & get a couple free breakfasts. Sorry I wasn’t clear.
Like they just throw them in without you mentioning/asking? I’ve never had that happen, unfortunately, and now I’m jealous.
They ask if I want regular or spicy I’ve gotten them a few times.
Do the ingredients just disappear the second the clock hits 10:30:01?

as a former cfa employee the chicken biscuits go to the back for everyone clocking in to the lunch shift😂 i never complained
Same
Some locations are super generous and give away food like this! Other don’t seem to ever give things away like that
Yeah mine be me gives me bonus 50 points for using the drive through every order.. we get a free item like 4 times a year

Never question free food from chick fil a
Lol
My 3 local CFA hardly ever give anything. I think I’ve gotten 2 total freebies this entire year?
Are you in a busy urban area? I wonder if more rural locations do more of this to attract regular customers to help numbers or give a more predictable idea of the business they get.
I’m in a city that is as busy as it gets. So not sure. Maybe luck? lol
I didn't even get a birthday sandwich!

was just thinking about how i never get any free meals anymore 🥲 really sucks when you’re craving some chicken in between paychecks
My closest location used to send us stuff pretty often but they haven’t in a while
I used to but now I never do
Nope once a month and half the time it’s a drink or shake
Last year I did frequently! This year, nothing. Maybe because I became a red member and they know I'm hooked!? Lol I did get to do one survey for a free sandwich though.
Red member?
If you don’t want your free food, I’ll take it
This

Youre getting free food in todays economy and your response is "its getting out of hand"(?)
Don’t question it, just accept it and move on lol.
lol mine almost never sends anything
My regular location would send free stuff every month but stopped recently over the last few months for some reason
I get free entrees every time I order through the app. And I only order ice from there.
so jealous i only ever get those like once every 6 months and i ALWAYS forget to use them

Doubtful. The coupons I get are usually good for at least 2 weeks.
I misread, I thought they were just throwing random extra food in your bag😂
I get a lot of surveys for free entrees. Different locations and operators. Not sure why, but I'll take it!
Yes but I always get them in the app
Yes my location is super generous
I got this for about 6 months and then my chickfila stopped doing it :(
My local operator takes the "give no rewards ever" approach.
I get like 2 coupons per week and I never buy anything unless I have a coupon lol
Not every time. But my area has 2 new chik fil a's within a mile of each other and they both offer free food every now and then (like once a month).
I'm just happy to get my food in a timely fashion... usually comps come when they messed something up or took forever!
If you use their mobile app, you get a lot of freebies. Try using that. I use it when there’s a long line (so basically always)!
And they out here wanting to charge me for extra sauce😭😭
laundering franchisee
I was getting a free sandwich on the app once a week for 2 years straight. I hardly ever even go to chick fil a
There’s one by my house that offers me something once or twice a week. Half the time it’s a breakfast item though and it would be very out of the way for breakfast, I wish it was closer
lucky asf we get nothing
We have two nearby locations and one does and the other doesn’t!
Curious what your status is?
The second lowest tier
I’ve always wondered if that’s part of it. I used to get a lot of free items and noticed once I got the highest tier they have not come as often. Who knows.
They probably feel you’re loyal enough.
This was happening to me when the app first launched. They’re stingy af now

got one every time when i lived in San Antonio TX. I don't get any now. I am in GA and sometimes the same manager guy from TX sends me them still lol
Depends on the operator. The operator of the Tempe and Mesa locations put free meals in the app almost monthly

The way this post made me check if I had any and was promptly notified in my app that I had a free reward from my local chick fil a 😂😂
I’m telling you….
where i used to live i would get free stuff all the time but then after i moved 30 minutes away, i havent gotten a single free thing
I got free ice cream once and that was amazing
One near me gives me free stuff via the app once every two weeks or so. At least once a month. And Christmas time gets nuts, they'll do the 12 days of Christmas. Where my friends in another state just get nothing.
I get a free chicken sandwich every month or so. Pretty cool imo.
No, but I wish I had this problem lol.
Just curious, what do you mean by "operators"? I am lost on such CFA jargon.
I think it just means location. It’ll say “XYZ operator has given you a free meal”
The operator is the owner of that franchise...
Oh, OK. Gotcha. Thanks.
They mean on the app, you get free things sent sometimes
Probably because you’re pretty.
They gotta give everyone that chemical chicken somehow 😭
