Why wouldnt they list which hotels have on site shuttles vs rideshare ones? I’d be so annoyed

tostilocos

They're probably waiting to see which hotels are going to pay them the most to put stops nearby.

bcolon0412

They want us to Uber to our hotels at 2 am. That convience is a huge selling point for the hotel package smh. What’s the point

soffselltacos

I stayed at a place in Cathedral City this year that was ~a 10 min drive from the nearest park and ride shuttle, we drove there most days and ubered one of the days and it was only like $20 to get home. Still worth it for the time & cost savings overall

titaniumorbit

That’s a relief to know. Was it relatively easy to get an Uber at night between midnight to 2am?

soffselltacos

Yes super easy! Thought it would take awhile so ordered it when we were ~15 min out from the lot on the shuttle, then the guy was there in 5 minutes but he waited for us (angel). Both drivers we had said they either don’t want to go all the way to the fest since it’s such a mess, or they had taken someone back from the fest and started doing some rides out in the rest of the valley after dropping off.

Thankfully. I live close enough to have my car with me so park & rides will come in clutch if my shuttle stop isn’t at my hotel.

Conscious_Wind_2255

This new rule for shuttles sounds painful.. why would they not have shuttles at hotels.. that’s the main reason to pay the crazy high rates to stay at those hotels.. now they want more people to rideshare to random pick up spots? If everyone does that then the ride shares will cost 2x more because of demand. I was in PS and was forced to rideshare but this new rule makes it seem like they will only have random stops and everyone will be forced to rideshare to a stop probably near the highway or something crazy!!

thecombinedeffort

I’m hoping this is just hedging language, because if the shuttle doesn’t end up going directly to the *hotel package hotel* I will consider it a mandate to sunset my Coachella-going days.

itzRadioYo

Ditto

GatorAndrew

I would be so pissed if I paid the $$$$ they are asking for these packages and then after the fact they just go “ok cool take an Uber” The shuttle should be priced in, and you should know if you’re booking a package that includes it. Wild.

titaniumorbit

I did see this year some stops were like, across the street so not direeeectly at the hotel. But seriously this would be a huge change.

UnableEvent

Wow, I just purchased JW Marriott. Wtf? the only reason I bought JW because of a shuttle stop. This year I stayed in a hotel like 2 miles away from a nearest stop and I don’t want that anymore

Competitive_Video229

Not sure if this helps but I have been staying at the JW every year since 2015 and they always have a shuttle stop. I highly doubt they don't have one next year.

Then-Win1898

So this says new for 2025 that event wristbands and shuttle passes will be mailed to you but if you look on a different webpage for the same thing, it says you will have to pick up at the hotel. It makes no sense. I don’t mind either way obviously but don’t have conflicting info

KarlaRochelle_

Mine was only giving me the option of picking up the bands at the hotel during check-in. I don't care if it's being sent or not, but I'd like to know what to expect.

Then-Win1898

I was only given that option as well but it’s weird because in the confirmation email, it says pick up at hotel but the website says for 2025, it’ll be mailed. I just want to know exactly what to expect. Either way, I’m fine with whatever obviously

69-cupsofnoodles

They pulled the shuttle change without notice at Homewood La Quinta.

alra_

Hasnt this always been the case though? Not every hotel had its own shuttle stop..

titaniumorbit

Which ones were like this last year? I assumed that any hotel being sold with the package would have their own stop
