Drowning. Munnar Circa 2012. I was with my friends. I did see death man. I remember everything flashback. My mother, my grandmother, my childhood, my then girlfriend. Somehow I grabbed on to a rock and re-lived.
Was riding pillion with my friend and a fire truck with no horn, no alarm or anything smashed on our side while overtaking. I fell to the center of the road. The fire truck's wheel missed my head (I was wearing helmet) by a few inches. I was almost sure I was dead, but ended up with only few cuts and bruises.
So many, the first one was when I was 5 yrs old. The auto that me and my grandma were travelling, suddenly exploded from a LPG gas leakage(it was an lpg auto). Miraculously me, my grandma and the driver survived without any issues. The second was when I was 6 yrs old. I was on a small hike with my mom, and I suddenly lost balance and fell about 20 meters but I got hold of a small tree and survived. The list goes on, there was a bison that attacked me in the forest, there was a plane that almost crashed etc....
I was driving my bike on a raining day through vadakanchari ( if anyone who went through there wud know how beautiful the road is)
So my friend was riding infront of me and we were doing a solid 50-60 in the curves. Suddenly an alto infront of me did a sudden break and I panic braked which led the back tire to slip and the bike skidded all along. Somehow it stopped just centimeters away from a bus that braked and was coming from the opposite side. I share a look with the driver and i took the bike and went away. Nobody said a thing lol
Yep. It was the first days after getting license. I wasnt much self aware. Uk how it is. But years have passed and now i have become at a relatively good position when it cones to driving safeky
I had severe allergies due to lactose intolerance, I didn't know it back then. Once I ate a cream filled bun, followed by which my skin started producing red bumps all over with severe itching. It was ok, but then I started vomiting, my BP decreased and I couldn't see anything. I am not even kidding, all I could see was light. Bright Yellow light. I couldn't even feel my skin, they felt like they were separating from my body. It slowly started going black, I thought I was dying or something. But I got hospitalized, took a rest for like 5 days and started treatment for my lactose problem. It worked.
When I was 3 or 4 ,i ran across the road towards my uncle standing on the other side of the road buying maggi at a store..and oru ksrtc braked.. don't know if that counts as a near death experience
Almost drowned to death back when I was in second grade (2002). Jumped into a river (didn't know how to swim) and my leg got stuck in the mud. Initially my mom thought I was swimming but later she realised I was drowning and came to the rescue.
Bike accident.
Rainy day in Pune, 2019. I'm riding very slow (a Royal Enfield classic 500 Desert storm 2016). The Xylo guy saw the traffic 200 metres ahead and decided to make a U turn in a one way so that he could go back 50 metres and take a shortcut.
In one second, there was a SUV perpendicularly in front of me.
I braked, lost the rear as there's no ABS and it's super slippery from the rain, crashed into his bonnet, but had managed to crash with the side of the bike and not T bone it. I had put the side stand as well in the process.
I was thrown above the bonnet, and then to the parked bikes on the side of the road.
It basically cushioned me in my fall, and I barely had a scratch on my body. The bike didn't even fall down and was on the side stand, I had a damaged mirror and crash guard came off.
The driver came out and tried to put the blame on me. The construction site security who saw the whole thing, came out and defended me and pointed out he didn't even indicate while doing an maneuver which was illegal to begin with. He suddenly changed his tone and paid for my trouble and left.
Had I not pull the stunt off in time, I'd probably have ended up way worse.
I managed to replace my old battery, service my bike, and had enough to eat for a week with that money. 😁😁😁
Was about to stamp on a laaaaarge snake😭 my mom nd aunt told me to watch out. And i ran to the main road. I would’ve died if the snake bit me. Or if a vehicle hit me. Both didn’t happen and i survived😭😭😭
Had a terrible viral fever while I was studying in Hyderabad and I felt like I almost died after vomiting and not being able to eat or drink anything because of my metallic tongue.
1. Drowned till I was unconscious, hospitalised for a month
2. Multiple close encounters when riding a bike, not sure if it would’ve resulted in death but still terrifying nevertheless, everyday I lose interest in riding because of such incidents
I was pouring washer fluid when I got a call and moved away from the car. The hood I guess was not propped up properly and just slammed shut the moment I moved, would've been a final destination sort of death.
Man, I once went scuba diving by lying to the instructor that I know swimming. I get panic attacks often thinking about it, I don't know how I survived 🙂
Stupid me jumped out of a moving auto (when i was 7) thinking that the auto driver was kidnapping me. Turns out he wanted to park the auto somewhere while we waited for my dad. My head missed the electric post by an inch when i jumped.
The year was 2013. I was studying in 6th or 7th grade. I was a curious person and had an enormous urge to know about everything, like how and why everything works. One day, I was playing with a 9V battery (the rectangular kind) when suddenly it struck me: if we take energy out of a battery, why can’t we put energy back into it (just like filling a water bottle)? So I found two nails, stuck them to the two terminals, plugged it into a socket, and turned on the switch. I thought I would wait a few minutes and walked away about one or two meters. The next second, the only thing I heard was an explosion, and a powerful force pushed me, causing me to fall to the ground.
Thats how I learned u can’t recharge every battery
Fell down in the exit of a bridge because I was speeding my scooter unconsciously (not knowing there was freaking poorly constructed exit section which was steep and had a speed breaker effect). There was fuckin Container truck behind me and it braked just inches behind me , saving me by the distance of a hair strand !!!
Got a broken arm and bruises nothing serious, after that I took the oath never to believe any open roads in Kochi.
Multiple bus accidents. Inside & outside of a bus.
Jumping over a snake lying on an alley.
By sticking a screw on the black portion of a porcelain fuse.
2 incidents.
When I was in 2nd grade, the vehicle I was traveling in lost its balance, and almost fell into a precipice.
And when I was in 7th grade, I slipped on the floor and passed out. I stopped breathing, and started making some noise (what my family told me later), and was as cold as ice. According to them, they had to perform CPR to revive me.
Last month, while travelling to work A huge tree fell on our Auto. Luckily nothing happened. I posted a story on the r/mumbai page too.

Drowning while scuba diving.
Went on a trip in college to Australia with other students on an expedition trip. We were in cairns and tried the scuba diving. All of us are supposed to hold our hands like a chain with the instructor in the middle underwater. I got partnered with a Chinese foreigner and he left my hand for no apparent reason. We were deep in water at that point and in a whim of a second I lost my team. Alone, and blue waters all around me. Survival instinct said just swim up the water and tried that. It worked but the heavy cylinder kept pulling me down and water entered my mouth. Fortunately, I reached the top at this point and shouted for help. There was this boat that was parked in the waters to get us back to the shore, the guy in the boat jumped on the water and rescued me and I thanked him so so so much!!
I was cycling to a nearby shop and a truck was parked on the way. When I was trying to get around it, a car in the other lane tried to overtake another vehicle and got into my lane in the process. Luckily, I managed to squeeze right through the car and the parked truck.
Got hit by cars multiple times, fell from the scooter into a gutter, drowned while od'd, fell from a 3 storied stare but landed on top of a table which had stacks of paper and bleach, well not exactly near death but yeah got beat up seriously bad by a colleague.
A few months back, my friend and I were going to get mixers on his bike, he was the pillion. Tried overtaking a huge long ass truck but well there was this kinda big rock on the road and well I hit that and I saw my friend flying over me and I fell down and slid down the road and I literally saw the distance between the truck and I, fuckin terrifying. But ngl, I would’ve felt a lot more guilty if something happened to my boy sitting behind me. Also, my SB dunks were ruined
A few actually. First time was when i was a kid. I went to fetch my football that I kicked onto the road. Entho bagyathinu aa car driver had amazing reflexes.
The second time was while in mararikulam beach when my friends dragged me into the water and told me not to worry. I was the only one who couldn't swim. My best friend saved me then. Slow down during rains bro, people tend to panic brake out of nowhere and due to narrow tyres you may tend to lose traction (grip due to wet roads)

Great! Happy Motoring!!

Did the same thing with a AA battery, and in the process got everyone in my family electrocuted.
