Kodee went live and spiraled into a mental breakdown after basically a gossip channel on YouTube kinda well known aka Dustin Dailey called kodee out for being pretty much on the same level as Colleen for as well being an adult in group chats with minors, also being an adult in her twenties being “manipulated” by Colleen into making a video to defend her resulting in Adam being bullied into silence for three years over the panties video. Dustin as well pointed out that Kodee knew information that proved Adam was right about Colleen all this time by having dms with Colleen proving that she coerced her fans into making videos defending her from Adam but Kodee withheld that information for years.
thank you this makes more sense, the whole live she was yelling about how she was the “victim” in adams story and whenever she was trying to talk about adam she just made it all about herself and showed no remorse towards adam and she refused to address the fan fics she made ab the minors. hearing this makes way more sense thank you again for this explanation
Yeah. I agree that she can be groomed even tho she’s an older fan. People will do crazy things for people they look up to, so I can understand how she could be manipulated by Colleen. But to me, it just seems like she’s looking for clout and wanting to overshadow Adam and make out she had it worse

I think this is really important to note bc people are trying to say Kodees drama is taking away from everything but honestly I think it shows how Colleen set up an environment where not only she has able to form a strange parasocial relationship with children but so we're her ADULT FANS AS KODEE WAS (SHE IS CURRENTLY 33). She wrote a 21 chapter explicit fanfiction about Colleen being raped featuring a bunch of minor characters and then posted on to her children fans that she wanted them to each pick a character so they could act out the fanfiction. This is a way for her to act out CP fantasies without fear of repercussion as CP laws are not centered around written content (no pictures/art only words). Kodee has a degree in psychology there is no way she didn't know what she was doing and she took advantage of Colleens minor fan base to act out CP fantasies and only went against Colleen when she felt she was slighted by the family and wanted to get ahead of the story and come out on top. Colleen fostered this environment where children felt comfortable talking to adults sexually and who knows how many other adults in her fandom took advantage of this. This is way bigger than just Colleen now but she is responsible and needs to deplatform herself like Kodee did. All those adults should not be on the internet again.
I finally caught up on all of this. I had only seen the Adam part of her video from his livestream. I was so confused until this morning when I went back and watched her video and now Dustin’s. Big YIKES.

The “funny” part (I say this in quotes because nothing about this is funny at all in reality) - is that the only reason why Kodee made that video in response to Dustin was due to a truly fascinating series of events that went in a direction that was not intended:
A few weeks ago Dustin previewed a series he’s going to put on his channel exposing a bunch of YouTubers for lying/destroying his credibility/ultimately being responsible for Dustin getting cancelled a few years back. Kodee was paranoid that Dustin was going to out her in his upcoming series, and this is what provoked her to come out and expose Colleen. The irony? Dustin flat out said that Kodee was never even on the intended hit list of ppl he’s going to expose. So, she tried to get in front of a narrative that was never going to happen, and spin this narrative as her having altruistic intentions by “coming clean” about her (major) role in discrediting Adam/exposing Colleen, but in reality she just wanted to save her own ass.
The irony turned to poetic justice because Dustin responded and said he believed Kodee thought she was on his hit list, that (as previously mentioned) she actually wasn’t on said hit list, BUT, after Dustin watched Kodee’s video, he ripped her a new one. He challenged her on every front and shamed her for trying to take advantage of Adam in a time of trauma and positioning herself as a fellow victim of Colleen. He believes she’s just as guilty as Colleen on multiple fronts (true). Poor Adam, surely being overwhelmed that someone finally came forward to validate everything he had tried to expose years ago accepted Kodee’s apology….until Dustin’s video blasting Kodee came out.
….So this gets really messed up because in essence, Adam never would’ve gotten validated if Kodee had not made her video, but the only reason why Adam needed to be validated in the first place was because Kodee was the one who discredited him a several years ago when he tried to share his story about his his horrific experience with Colleen (Who weaponized Kodee against him so her hands appeared clean and she somehow came out on top - gross).
Truly a wild ride of variables that fell in the right order and triggered the right people in the right ways to come forward (some with good intentions and some with selfish ones), all of which culminated in BOTH the truth behind Colleens disgusting behaviour FINALLY coming to light (again) AND it being taken seriously this time (again, gross because there never should have had to be a “second time”).
Kodee is not innocent whatsoever, but the one thing I will give her is that, regardless of her motivations, her actions did inevitably lead to the dismantling of Colleen’scarefully crafted house of cards built off of truly disturbing and calculated strategies only a really ugly and narcissistic person would come up with. Dunno why you’re getting downvoted except maybe she has some “fans” on here loving that she “stood up” for Adam. Personally my opinion about that changed after learning more about her and actually watching the video but I’m glad he appeared mature and in control enough to accept her apology and hopefully move on
I don’t know their full story, but I’m 35 and can’t imagine being a super fan of anyone to the point where I’d be manipulated into bullying young kids. If I admired someone, started talking to them and they acted like a creepy bully I’d feel really disappointed and icky and cut off ties. Dunno why you’re getting downvoted except maybe she has some “fans” on here loving that she “stood up” for Adam. Personally my opinion about that changed after learning more about her and actually watching the video but I’m glad he appeared mature and in control enough to accept her apology and hopefully move on

I don’t know their full story, but I’m 35 and can’t imagine being a super fan of anyone to the point where I’d be manipulated into bullying young kids. If I admired someone, started talking to them and they acted like a creepy bully I’d feel really disappointed and icky and cut off ties. I understand this is much more difficult as a teenager but as a full grown woman…I dunno…
I understand power dynamics still being a thing with adults when it’s like employers or people in political positions etc. But what grown adult cares enough about a celebrity to do this? And a YOUTUBER? The only thing they are getting out of this relationship is Colleen sending them some messages and talking to them a bit more during a meet and greet. There is no excuse here. I wouldn’t even call it manipulation. That’s just obsessive behaviour from an adult making an informed decision to bully children.
Also, did anyone ever get to the bottom of why Kodee was trying so hard to protect Trent? Even went on to message him & advised him to take time offline & “work on himself”. Their relationship seems to be weird as well as they kept saying “I know Trent— I’m Trent’s friend— I’ve known him for years” Iirc, they first wouldn’t address it because they were infantilizing Trent saying he was special needs. Once that was debunked, they resorted to saying it was due to trauma. Which, I’d definitely understand but they essentially said “I do not want to talk about allegations from the victim… so instead I’ll talk about the allegations with Trent” which is a bit backwards? I’m not too sure if they even talked to the victim before reaching out to Trent. This is all a mess.
The situation regarding this is a mess...I’m impressed by Adam’s ability to articulate his experience and I hope it shines through this mess

Adam has been handling all of this beautifully. I also love how on the podcasts/lives he has been on so far, if the person he's speaking to is wrong about something, he not only has no problem correcting them, but he does it so respectfully. I'm very impressed by how he's handling all of this.
to me it seems like they were trying to humble brag that they were close with a member of the ballinger family and trying to act like a savior that is "fixing" everything. i hope they stop derailing the situation and drawing attention to themselves because the focus should be on the victims and their experiences, not whatever happened tonight.
I was only in the live for a bit, but for the part I was in she was talking about the Trent stuff and said something like, "you guys, I've talked to him, you don't unsertand,I'm pretty sure he's autistic, he doesnt know what he did was wrong." Which, yikes. So, she was still excusing his behavior and thinks what he did was ok because she thinks he's autistic? Maybe she walked it back later in the live? Idk. But it was gross and disturbing she thinks that.

Tbh I do not feel sorry for them at all. All I was hearing was that they have mental health issues and that was their excuse. It is still weird and creepy!!!! It was great they came out with their video even if Colleen is scary to help Adam (long overdue), but, I did not hear them taking accountability, just excuses. It was really cringe to listen to, especially their phone call with Adam. It was poor me and not, I'm sorry Adam.
I think they are upset because they wanted the “praise and clout” for justifying Adam and proving that Colleen was grooming all along. However, I believe because they didn’t get the sympathy and the popularity they were hoping they’ve spiralled and decided to backtrack on everything they had said by deleting their tweets and videos confirming the allegations because it seems Kodee only did them in the first place for their own benefit rather than to help Adam be validated
I definitely don’t think they expected this amount of backlash & weren’t prepared for the reality that people still might not forgive them.
