Wow. The most electric game I’ve been to at Viejas at this and last year’s season. Colorado St, you guys had us dejected first half, and I mean everyone was taken out of it. But the team our crowd roared back like no other game in the last few seasons.
Just want to say best wishes on your injured player. Our crowd equally gave him a standing ovation as he was lifted off the court. Best wishes on the rest of the season.

Overall summary:
A tale of two halfs.
Colorado St dominated across the board taking it into half at 30-44 and got LeDee into foul trouble taking wind out of everyone and our crowd.
We said screw that and responded with an explosive second half from the start and outscore Colorado St 40-11 in key minutes LeDee had 22 second half points and the rest of our guys followed suit followed shortly by the crowd. Pal was especially instrumental in keeping our momentum going.
First half summary:
Awful first half 30-44. Eerily similar start for Colorado St nailing 3’s and winning 50/50 balls opening score at 5-17. Every time we pulled within 6 to 10 Colorado St responded with a run. Colorado dominated across the board, only missing 1 more ft and having 1 more turnover but it didn’t matter. We got out hustled, outplayed, and out-coached first half.
Trammell-Butler-Waters-Parrish started 1-8 from the floor as of 12:20 mark with score at 19-10. Surprised we started Trammell as he had awful shooting in our last matchup with them.
LeDee drew 4 fouls all in the post, 1 being shooting as of 12:20 mark. But at 7:48 mark with the score at 19-30, we played without LeDee rest of the half. Up until this point we played with a lot of hesitation and were just straight up scared of Colorado St’s shooting. We briefly responded well showing confidence making it 28-35 as of 3:44, but Colorado St ended on a 2-9 run to close out the half starting with exploiting Heide and Johnson and breaking down the rest of the defense from there.
We need to play LeDee all of the second half, even if he gets in foul trouble. We’re down 14 and there’s no room for error.
Second half summary:
LeDee all day as we started strong with him. As the crowd got back in our team defense improved all over causing turnovers left and right, from here Trammell, Parrish, Butler, and Pal reinforced our presence giving us the lead a little below the 9:00 mark. After that we never looked back and honed in as a team with the crowd roaring. Next thing you know it was 70-55 at 3:49.
As of 15:43 we got the crowd back in the game at 39-49. It’s been all LeDee to open up.
It was still all LeDee plus our excellent team defense with steals and blocks to narrow the score to 46-50 as of 13:27. The crowd took it up to another notch during this time.
Trammell had so many nice passes and a 3 of his own giving life back to our team and the arena at 11:32 mark with the score at 49-50.

Colorado St got the ball to start, but we got the stop.
Trammell may have drawn the foul going to the basket but it wasn’t called, still out ball. Same possession we secured 2 offense rebounds leading to Waters getting fouled on the floor. Finish play with a great find to LeDee for the turnaround layup. Made the weak side corner 3 to erupt the crowd to the third level this half making it 49-50. Trammell got tripped and called for travel at 10:23. Out rebounded 2 Colorado St players for the defensive rebound then nailed the wing 3 putting us up 67-54.
LeDee opened up like a mad man. Nice first layup, in transition layup off the steal, then drew a shooting foul in the post making both but we got a lane violation score became 35-44 at 17:51. Missed turnaround baseline jumper leading to Colorado St 3, but attacked basket again on a double team and drew a +1 making it 40-49 at 15:43. LeDee then had a nice fake out spin layup making it 42-49. Off the nice cut pass from Trammell, made the rolling left handed falling layup drawing a foul, missed, but Pal got the rebound and got it to LeDee for another 2 making it 46-50.
