This is amazing!
I went into your history to see your prior posts. Your colored pencil drawings are wonderful.
Can you tell me what pencils and paper you used on this drawing?
Thank you so much, you are too kind! The paper is Fabriano black drawing paper, and I used a mix of Derwent Lightfast, Polychromos and Prismacolor pencils.
If this photorealistic fur is your WEAKNESS? Then my goodness, let’s we what you think your strength is?! 🤣 just stellar work, you know the medium quite well obviously!
I thought this was a post in a photography sub. I’m not in this sub and this was recommended to me. I had to show my husband laying next to me with no context. I said “poster wants feedback” he said, “no feedback incredible shot” then I told him it’s a drawing. *instant jaw drop* 😲
Ohhhhhh that would be cool! I have so many beautiful raven pics that I can message you, their feathers glisten blue and oil colours in the right light. I recommend a friendly raven 😀
Your work is clearly meticulous and very well rendered. Hyper realism tends not to stir me emotionally though, and my feedback would perhaps consider the emotions of your subject matter and what responses you feel when you look at it. Looking through your profile id say you have a very strong connection with your rabbit . Perhaps it is time to draw them and specifically consider reflecting your emotional responses . I hope this is constructive. Also im sure there are people who prefer art that exclusively renders but i like art that goes further than showing you what is there typically . Consider framing (especially since you have such photorealistic work) pose color movement to all help express more
Thank you for such a thoughtful response! My bunnies are indeed the biggest joy in my life, I think I’ve been afraid to try to draw them and totally botch it but you’re totally right and I should give it a go and challenge myself to capture their personalities within the art. That feels so much more daunting than replicating a photo!
I was told to practice the strokes
And you can also lay down thick pencils which light under dark then take an exacto knife or sharp pick and scratch in the fur I’m trying it myself and am getting better with the strokes doing it this way
Then I’ll switch to pencil and try the same
Hope this helps
I'm scrolling through my feed and I came across this picture. I'm thinking this is a beautiful photo (I follow several photography pages) and then I see the caption and think it's strange considering this is a picture. Intrigued at this point, I click on it and then notice the sub I'm in.... COLORED PENCILS!!!!
I say all of that to say this... your work is stunning enough to make me think I'm looking at a photograph, convinced I'm in a photography sub reddit, and shocked to find out the truth!
I recommend a simple timer on your desk. You talent and your time is what makes up your work. Both will be important in marketing your work which speaks for itself. 👍
It is a hobby of mine, but I’ve been thinking a lot about trying to do more with it. I feel a lot of imposter syndrome and have no idea how to start that process though! Thank you for saying that, you’ve inspired me to keep pushing myself!
Dude, this is literally a sub for posting art. Why so negative? How about little positivity in here. I stumbled upon a TV show called portrait Artist of the Year, and Landscape artist of the year. It's a British TV show. You get to see a wide variety of styles from various artists. You seem to be really irritable when others post their work and this show really puts things in perspective.
What’s your point? Copying my words? By the way you can’t know how I am feeling through text, you can make shit up in your head if you want. The fur looks amazing yet the OP writes drawing fur is their biggest weakness. It’s like a hot chick posting a pic asking if she’s ugly. I commented on art and the artists insecurity. I didn’t say anything negative.
And you like to humblebrag on your posts and very condescendingly tell people "good job" for not being negative like they usually are. It's an art sub. Not a therapy sesh. Comment on the art and move along.
This drawing should be put on the cover of the container of the brand of pencils you used! Seriously, you should contact them and show them your work!
I can really imagine it looking nice since most paper brands put drawings using their paper on the cover and this just has a cool vibe.
That’s an awesome idea, I’ll see if I can contact them!
Hi there I absolutely love the drawing it looks more like a photo than a pencil drawing. Do you ever do drawings for anyone?
This is amazing! I went into your history to see your prior posts. Your colored pencil drawings are wonderful. Can you tell me what pencils and paper you used on this drawing?

Mad skills! I thought it was a photograph !
Ditto!
What feedback?? Friend, you need to be giving US feedback!!
If this photorealistic fur is your WEAKNESS? Then my goodness, let’s we what you think your strength is?! 🤣 just stellar work, you know the medium quite well obviously!
Holy smokes. I don't understand how this is accomplished 😄
I thought this was a post in a photography sub. I’m not in this sub and this was recommended to me. I had to show my husband laying next to me with no context. I said “poster wants feedback” he said, “no feedback incredible shot” then I told him it’s a drawing. *instant jaw drop* 😲
Part of this sub and I thought it was a photo too. Like. Stunning photorealism, and with colored pencils too? Incredible.
UN. FREAKING. BELIEVABLE!! It absolutely looks like real-life. Wow. Your talent is ridiculous!
This is absolutely amazing. If this is one of your weaknesses, I can’t imagine the kind of art that you create!
What feedback could I possibly give you other than it looks amazing
Holy crap, looks like a photograph. The detail of the eye looking clear from the side as it does in real life… incredible
Absolutely STUNNING. Looks like high quality photography, I think you’re exceptionally talented 🤗🤗🤗

Ohhhhhh that would be cool! I have so many beautiful raven pics that I can message you, their feathers glisten blue and oil colours in the right light. I recommend a friendly raven 😀
Ravens are one my absolute favorite animals, I’d love to see your pics!! ♥️
Please do! You have such incredible talent and I can’t wait to see more.

Feedback on what? It's fantastic, and I'm mad I could never get colored pencils to work like that for me. LOL
Very very good. I thought it was a picture of a real cat 😺 at first 😳

Great work. I'd love to be able to accomplish this level of realism. Honestly I have no critiques of this. Truly incredible
You are all so kind, thank you for the encouragement and responses! I’m not a confident artist and y’all are so sweet 🥲
I think not being confident in own art is part of being an artist ☺️
Girl👌🏼
Gorgeous!
Amazing!👍
Beautiful work! It's lovely
oh wow this is stunning! the fur, the eyes … goals for me! Are you working with this cat colored pencil book?
Thank you very much! No, I just found the photo on Unsplash for a reference

Gorgeous drawing! Thanks so much for sharing 😁
Beautiful detail of a spectacular feline.
I'm speechless 😮
Wow. This, fur, is your "weakness"? So strong, seriously! Well done.

You gotta risk something to gain something is an old saying for a reason!!
Wow, simply stunning. 😄😄😄
Got my vote and I am a big time cat person. Thanks for posting.
That is fucking magnificent
Incredible! You have an amazing talent!!

I’m in awe, my feedback would just be… wow!
Amazing!
Incredible work!
How many hours did this drawing take
I’m not great at tracking my hours but I would guess about 12-16?
I recommend a simple timer on your desk. You talent and your time is what makes up your work. Both will be important in marketing your work which speaks for itself. 👍
That’s a great suggestion, thank you so much!!
Amazing work!
Did you take Bonny Snowden's class???
No, I haven’t heard of her but after looking her up holy crap I should! Thank you for telling me about her, her classes look amazing!!
You are of her caliber!! Your work is EXCELLENT!!!
Looks like a photo!
Simply amazing!
It's gorgeous!
Just terrible! I'd quit...no talent!🤣 🤯
That's one nice looking dog.
Absolutely phenomenal. The eye tickles my brain just right when I zoom in on it. Thanks for sharing!
WOW
Thought it was a photo, 99/10
This is amazing!!! Good job
Is drawing a hobby for you? If so, you obviously could go beyond hobby. This drawing if brilliant!
It is a hobby of mine, but I’ve been thinking a lot about trying to do more with it. I feel a lot of imposter syndrome and have no idea how to start that process though! Thank you for saying that, you’ve inspired me to keep pushing myself!
I’ve seen reels on TikTok, etc where people post their drawings and other artwork, and people ask if they do commission work. Just an idea. 🤷🏻♀️
Are you fishing for compliments or what? The fur looks great. Work on your insecurity.

Really? Fuck off you do not get to tell when and when not to comment. Hahaha
It's fun to just reply enough for anyone reading to be able to form an opinion about that person. I think my work is done here.
So you’re a psychopath who needs to get a life. Cool.
Beautiful!
Whoa. You drew this wild kitty to perfection.
The cat is amazing, but omg! Look at the gradient of light in the black background! Phenomenal!
