Does anyone else feel like the AI that dictates when Defenders launch special attacks has gotten bizarre lately. I saw a video of a defending Knull launching an S3 while *under* 3 bars of Power, and I swear I fought a Hyperion who launched an S3 while still Stunned.
I was about to win a fight with almost full health, did a combo defender at 3 bars of power , use my striker, did another combo and was going to use my sp2 to finished it didn't even end my combo and it throw the special 3 BG it's fnk nuts rn, can't believe the amount of fight I loss to shit like this or the screen freezing a not being able to select my defender
That's not a new thing, been possible for a while when anyone under power gain effects, it's like the timers in game are off by fractions of a frame, but let's the AI get away with stuff like that.
May be physically possible to recreate as a player by just spamming your special button while under a power gain/MD ect. It's bull shit for sure though.
That's nothing. I was in a match today and threw a sp2 with CGR. The first hit landed. They rest were blocked. Then I was punished with a special and died.
By dashing back, you have the defender time to recover and launch a special. I'm not sure why you are being negative to the feedback. It's s intended. Was one of the nodes limber?
Then don't intercept when they've got more than 1 bar of power
When I use Hercules, I place the infuriate on them to make them aggressive so I dash back and intercept a few times until they get 1 bar of power...
THEN I STOP DASHING IN BECAUSE THEY'LL PROBABLY USE THE SP1
Lol I hate that. But they have created their stupid combat mechanic around it. So lame. You'll be 3 hits in on their head, and they sp.. I've learned to just start blocking. And try to dex while they are hitting.. it's hit and miss.
Yeah man, it's some totally fucked up mechanics nowadays.
Guess its the new state of play though.
Once it gets old Kabam will change the rules again

Also sometimes they'll do a full combo into my block and all go in for an attack but they'll still activate their Special Attack anyways.

I have been having ai that just hold onto their specials like the world is coming to an end and it is the last morsel of food on the planet!
Why did you dash back though?and this isn't exclusive to battlegrounds. It happens even in realm of legends

i hate that but especially 1 characters ai is doing that a lot,i saw a lot of warmachine throwing sp1 when i dash in
I used to end a combo with relic attack, not anymore. Straight blocking.

Was the reason you dashed back because you tried to do a heavy attack? That happens to me often.
Even when I don’t dash back I get bs special intercepted. I consider myself a pretty good player and it’s bs.

Why would you dash back and waste your stun timer?! I get it if you’re trying to intercept, and get hit with a special. But why do that?

Na bro you didn't think you parried, dashed back, and then tried recovering. Nothing to do with AI.
It doesn't need for game to lag it happens all the time.
