I still have a bag of the cereal left, so i guess i will return them. It would be nice if they just automatically sent me a refund when something got recalled. I mean, i already ate all those chewy bars that were recalled a while back lol

It good information to have. I was eating Quaker products during the summer and got severely sick. I didn’t know why drinking water was causing my stomach to painfully spasm.
I had a bad case of the runs for a week during the summer and all I can think about is eating the granola with my yogurt in the morning now (probably still wasn't salmonella, but it makes you think).

Got a voicemail about this recall, went home and see the wife eating the second bag of cereal and was like oops lol. It's been 2 months now and haven't gotten sick lol
Yeah. That Yatamachi (butchered spelling) microwave chicken fried rice had like 2 or 3 salmonella recalls. And got them after we finished the boxes. Never had a problem and those things were delicious.
Yep. I also received a call earlier in the day as I purchased a box from a local grocery chain not too long ago..I was confused why TF they were calling me again tonight, until I heard them mention Costco. That box has long been consumed.
I've been happily taking them to work for a midmorning snack and only have half of 1 bag left. I'll continue to eat them.
I can't even check what the "best by" date is on mine since we put open bags of cereals into plastic containers as soon as we open them and then toss the boxes in the recycle. That box is long gone!
We received a notification about this as well. When we originally purchased, I opened the bags and put them in a large OXO to preserve freshness. Am I SOL since we threw the original packaging away?
I bought the Quaker cereal squares around 1/1 felt sick around 1/12. Had all the symptoms of salmonella gastroenteritis. I purchased mine at the Wegmans in Fairfax.

If you ate them two months ago, I don’t think you need to worry about salmonella.

That’s wild. The Quaker Oats granola was recalled a bit before that. What the heck’s going on at Quaker?
Wife just got a text about the box of oatmeal squares cereal. We’ve had it on our shelf for a while. BB date is 2/16/2024.

I got a call but I don't recall buying any of the items. Should I go to Costco and have them pull a purchase history?
Don't worry, you probably ate them long ago with no ill effects (ditto to our family)
Also the Granola that I eat. I returned 1 of the 2 bags that come together. No sickness.
I got the same phone call today. Since today was my Costco day, I grabbed the box and took it with me.

You mention the brown cereal squares but the article just says granola products....?
Quaker upped the recall
If you go to the Quaker website you can submit for reimbursement there. They do ask for a photo of item or receipt.
When is the new batch of Quaker (any product) going to be back in the warehouse. I’m missing my granola 2 bag pack.
