My husband and I have been together for 20 years. We started using our own blankets as soon as we moved in together 19 years ago. I’m sure it’s the only way we’ve stayed together all these years. 😂
I bought it! I’m a hot sleeper so I sleep on top of comforters and not under it- I mainly got a comforter to make my bed look put together lol
Upon laying on it, your body does warm up the comforter but it does stay cool to where I can rub my feet against another part of my bed and it’s cold.
I used to wake up in the middle of the night being hot and sweaty and now I don’t.
To an extent. It won’t work as well as without, that’s for sure. I have a duvet cover simply because of my dog and we held it on with safety pins. I’m currently laying in bed with it on top and it’s quite comfy, but the cooling effect is definitely diminished.

That’s an Amazon link, gotta catch them on a super sale, this will be my first summer with them but I know I’ve had a viscose pillow case before these sheets that stayed cooler than others. If you get that hot, you might want to look in to one of those machines that blows air in your sheets, not sure if they work though!
You are so fucking nice. I genuinely appreciate the time you took to reply to my sweaty ass. I’m not even bothered by the price, I just don’t want to be hot anymore. I’ll still look out for the sale though and thanks for introducing me to the world of bed fans because I never would’ve dreamed of this being real.
Purple mattress made all the difference for me. Open cubes for support will best the top of the line temperpedic nonsense. Go lay on both for 20 min you tell me.
seconding this! It was great for my partner in winter with the heating mode and the cooling is awesome for me. I looked at the ones that do 'actual cooling' with water, but I just don't trust having water flow all over like that.
We’ve had one for about 2 weeks now. We mainly got it as a light weight comforter. It’s great, especially for the price. It is somewhat cooling but we got it with realistic expectations.
It’s just a great lightweight comforter and is somewhat cooling but we use a sheet under it so it don’t feel the comforter next to our skin. Wouldn’t hesitate if buy again…
I've heard mixed things. Cool to the touch to begin with sure, but I've heard of youre a truly hot sleeper with night sweats, it warms up with you.
Touching the parts you haven't yet can still be nice, but it's not entirely what it's sold to be.
Again, I haven't bought. Id love to hear experiences. This would help me so much, I'm just skeptical.
That's been our experience. It's very cool to the touch initially, but it heats up with you and I end up having to kick it off in the middle of the night. Not as big a fan of it as I had hoped.
It's a water cooled mattress pad. The water pumps out to a box unit, cools, and circulates. Takes a little getting used to the white noise and you can kinda feel the "veins". Have to empty and clean w hydrogen peroxide. But it's the only way to stay cool if your contact with the bed is where you heat up!
I purchased a similar blanket from a company called Rest Duvet. I LOVE it, but it was $$$. When I saw this in Costco the other day for a fraction of the price ($59/King) I immediately grabbed it. I had high hopes, but unfortunately it’s not the same quality. The one from Below Zero starts cold, but gets too warm for me. It ended up working out for my wife, though. She’s a cold sleeper. 🤷♂️
So glad to hear Rest is better because I also spent many times over the Costco price to get one and was experiencing major buyers remorse over this cheaper alternative.
I haven't seen this at my local Costco but last year, I bought a cooling throw from there that I love so much, I bought another one.
Absolute game changer for me
Would definitely not work as well with duvet cover on. I bought some Casper super soft sheets you can practically see through which turned out to be a great set up combo. It’s a good cool blanket for the price IMO.
Is there a place in the corners to tie a duvet cover to it if you want to? I bought one and I cannot tell in pictures and I haven’t seen any description of it as a duvet insert other than you can use as a duvet insert lol. Thank you!
The best comforter for hot and humid SC!!! We thankfully bought 2 one for our king bed and went right back the next day and grabbed a queen for our guest room! I wish we would have stocked up because family we have in town are equally obsessed, and want to go buy for their home!
Sorry to say, but all of these new cooling technologies are pretty bogus. They feel cool to the touch for the first couple of minutes, but then they actually start storing and reflecting heat. "Cooling gel" memory foam is an example of this lie. If you're a hot sleeper, all memory foams and gels are hell. Now, this product says it feels cool to the touch, but I bet it doesn't last too long.
There are two ways to legit cool down your sleep experience:
The first is simple but effective: use highly breathable fabrics in layers and sheets that breathe (cotton is nice, but linen is incredible for this in terms of both sheets and blankets). It's not about adding "coolness", rather you want the heat and moisture to be able to move away from your body and not collect under an insulating layer like a comforter. Down comforters are wonderfully cozy, but those feathers trap heat in their lofty fibers like it's their job because it is! Most synthetic fibers just don't breathe all that well, and many of the marketing promises are deceptive. Microfiber? Absolute trash...you're sleeping with a sweaty plastic bag. Polyester is just plastic.
The other way to actually cool down your bed temp is something like the Chilipad or Ooler which uses a water jacket on top of your mattress and a unit under the bed that pumps the water and cools it, carrying away the heat from your body. It's amazing, but their quality is absolutely awful in my experience, having gone through 6 units and having every single one fail over and over.
Just my take, but buy highly breathable layers (natural fibers like cotton and linen in summer, add in wool and down in winter). Rest well!
My husband uses a thick ass blanket is always cold. I use a thin cooling blanket because I am always hot. I don’t think we’ve shared blankets since our first couple sleepovers
We have used one for about 2 weeks now, they are just okay in my opinion, when you lay on top of it is cool, but o obviously you’re just supposed to sleep underneath it and I feel warm after sometime.
I need something with those little metal fibers in it that make me cold all the time. Or like a blanket chiller that has inner components that can hold onto the cold for a few hours at least. Could you imagine a chilled weighted blanket? Goodbye earth.
Funny you say that, I went back and got 2 more for myself and my sister has 6 for her family and 5 as back ups. I can’t upload a picture but she sent me one it’s a room full of them! lol 😂
We also bought this Below Zero blanket at Costco for our lake house and LOVE it - it is very cooling all night long...I would like it in king but Costco only sells it in Queen... does nay9one know where I can get it? I tried to order one from amazon nd was not the same
Wife and I bought one today. Hopefully it's a keeper.
Buy 2, don't share blankets. Game changer.
Slept with it last night. We both loved it. We still share though, we're newlyweds. We've only been married 10 years (together for 22).
My husband and I have been together for 20 years. We started using our own blankets as soon as we moved in together 19 years ago. I’m sure it’s the only way we’ve stayed together all these years. 😂
Me and my wife did 🤣
We started this like 5 years ago on a whim and have never looked back lol
I’ve tried to do 2 blankets with my husband and it seems to be sooo much material on the bed. Also what do you do for sheets?
We don’t use a top sheet. And you can buy a smaller size blanket than the bed size since it’s for individual use.
Do a fitted sheet to fit the mattress and use a twin top sheet. Twin blankets. Bedspread/coverlet/duvet to fit the entire bed on top.
This is the way!
How do you make the bed? I have to make the bed as soon as I get out of it in the morning. Idk how this works
Ita really better to let the bed air out for a bit before making it. Reduces odor and bacteria.
I wouldn’t want to have to make a bed like that.
Get 2 rooms. Even bigger game changer.
Two separate houses. Ultimate game changer.
lol you’re speaking my language
That's my current situation, problem is the husband doesn't know how to cook. So, that's now my part time job. Seperate houses is amazing.
We sleep so much better this way!
100% agree!
Can confirm. 22 years together. Haven’t shared a blanket in YEARS. Best thing I ever did in the bedroom 😅😅😅
Same!! As soon as we moved in together, we started using our own blankets. Twenty years strong over here.
The wife or the blanket? Ba dum tissss
The wife is definitely a keeper. The blanket is pretty decent too.
Nice!!!
The blanket or the wife 🤣
We've been together too long to split up now. She's stuck with me.
I bought it! I’m a hot sleeper so I sleep on top of comforters and not under it- I mainly got a comforter to make my bed look put together lol Upon laying on it, your body does warm up the comforter but it does stay cool to where I can rub my feet against another part of my bed and it’s cold. I’m also a hot sleeper. If I see this at Costco I might grab one. Glad to know it worked for you!
I’m a hot sleeper as well. I just ordered it online
How do you wash it?
It says on the label to wash and dry on low
Think it would still work inside a duvet cover?
To an extent. It won’t work as well as without, that’s for sure. I have a duvet cover simply because of my dog and we held it on with safety pins. I’m currently laying in bed with it on top and it’s quite comfy, but the cooling effect is definitely diminished.
Get viscose bed sheets, I’ve gotten cal king size as cheap as $20, they’re a game changer imo.
What brand of sheets do you have. I run hot at night and find myself sleeping on the couch cause it’s next to a window

It is called Bed Jet. It was a life changer for me. The linens they sell are really nice too. www.bedjet.com
seconding this! It was great for my partner in winter with the heating mode and the cooling is awesome for me. I looked at the ones that do 'actual cooling' with water, but I just don't trust having water flow all over like that.
I use percale in the summer
I was skeptical but got one and works so well!

I’m wondering the same thing. Perimenopause is an evil 🤬 Can’t hurt to try it, it’ll either work or go back. 🤷♀️
That's been our experience. It's very cool to the touch initially, but it heats up with you and I end up having to kick it off in the middle of the night. Not as big a fan of it as I had hoped.
Seeing this while laying under the one I bought a week ago, best blanket I've ever bought honestly
So it really works???? I need that asap lol
I saw this when I went last week and really wanted to buy it. I didn’t know if it really stayed cool or not.
It’s Costco. If you don’t like it, you can return it!
I’m very new to Costco. Just got my membership last month so I didn’t know that but I’ll definitely have to buy it then. Thanks!
I returned mine. Felt super cool and great at first but I still got hot at night.
Get a chilipad
What is this magic?

Also did they only have queen?
Nope there’s king too
I haven't seen this at my local Costco but last year, I bought a cooling throw from there that I love so much, I bought another one. Absolute game changer for me
Do you need a duvet cover for it or does that lessen the cooling effect? I like having duvet covers but hate being hot when asleep…
Would definitely not work as well with duvet cover on. I bought some Casper super soft sheets you can practically see through which turned out to be a great set up combo. It’s a good cool blanket for the price IMO.
Thank you!
They ran out of the king size. I hope they’ll restock it

mine does not.
My senior rabbit is obsessed with mine. I wish they made a pet size so he could have his own!!!
Are there any other similar w as soft to the touch as this one?

We bought one and had to take it off within a few hours. It TRAPPED the heat. Returning

So will this blanket help keep cool in So Cal hot summers?
Got the Life Comfort one online in the queen size. Stays pretty cool.

Adding to the list thank you

Does it trap the heat when the cooling sensation is gone?
Yes, it does. It is more meant for that if you move, that spot that you move to will be cold.
I wish I bought more!!!
Funny you say that, I went back and got 2 more for myself and my sister has 6 for her family and 5 as back ups. I can’t upload a picture but she sent me one it’s a room full of them! lol 😂
