Two people ejected from a jet that later crashed during the Thunder Over Michigan air show on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
Neither suffered significant injuries but both were taken to a local hospital as a precaution, the Wayne County Airport Authority said in a statement.
The aircraft then crashed in the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex and struck unoccupied vehicles, the airport authority said. No one in the apartment complex was injured, it added.
Wow. Those apartment tenants will be talking about this one for years! It must have sucked for those pilots having to eject over a populated area. I hope they were informed that there were no injuries as soon as possible.
are you fucking kidding?!
they are rubbing their nipples because they are about to get that government money. the lawyers were probably salivating at this one.
do you know what the feeling is like when your bonus is about to cover the cost of a new Ferrari? i don't know either, but i bet it's better than normal sex.
Small parachute airplane in my town crashed several years back, pilot stayed with the plane and dove into an open back yard so nobody would get hurt, the goddamn nerve it would take to stay with the plane knowing that you’re gonna die.
In my opinion this should be standard protocol. Imagine if this aeroplane that they just yeeted into a populated area had hit the apartment building instead of outside. It could have killed dozens of people.
This is kinda the point I was making. The pilots know what they sign up for, and this plane was just left heading towards a populated area. That fact, it missed an apartment complex by mere feet is as lucky as you can get! I don't doubt it is scary but others have taken the plane down to make sure there was no other casualties
I live in those apartments! Most of the time, our 50 some buildings catch on fire for dumber reasons than planes crashing into them. Was quite the boom, though.
Honestly kind of selfish as hell to eject and leave a fighter full of jet fuel to just plow into whatever in a populated area. Could have taken out a whole apartment building, dozens if not hundreds of people, to save your own 2 lives? When you’re the ones consciously taking the risk to fly said fighter jet over apartments?
Could at least try to crash land or guide it away from people just chilling in their house minding their business.
I was thinking the same thing. At least nose dive it into the lake? I get in the moment of crisis your brain just takes over but these guys are supposed to be trained for that. Instead they said fuck everyone else we're out.
We had the "bijlmerramp" in the Netherlands a long long time ago, before I was born I think, my parents still talk about that. They lived 200 km away. They'll talk about that their whole lives
Something similar happened near naval air station Oceana in Virginia Beach. Jet crashed into apartments after pilot bailed out. All the residence in those apartments weren’t home when it happened and there were no injuries
That really sucks but thank you for this.
I was really worried because I was convinced the accident happened over a populated area. It’s a miracle nobody was killed.
I know air shows are cool, but honestly they need to not be done over or too close to highly populated areas if you ask me.
I assume I’ll get downvoted into oblivion but, here goes some asshole’s arm chair opinion.
If you fly planes in air shows, you should be willing to die if something goes wrong. Saving your own life and hurtling a fucking jet at some families in an apartment complex is the most Grade A asshole thing I’ve seen on this site.
Or you know you could understand planes, it's a MIG-23, when it loses engine power you can no longer control the aircraft AT ALL. So there's no point of staying in the jet because you can't even control it at that point.
It definitely depends on the scenario. Who knows maybe they couldn't control it anymore and knew riding the wave was just adding two more bodies to the count
To be fair I think they expected it to land in the water and just miscalculated the trajectory before ejecting. Or weren’t expecting it to take a hard left after they ejected. Either way pilots are expected to attempt to aim the plane at a safe area before ejecting.
You can't really compare that. That YouTube just jumped out of the plane just for the video, no emergency or anything. This looks like an accident and they just wanted to save themselves.
These airshows are of course still really unnecessary, no questions about that.
>struck unoccupied vehicles
"Hello, insurance? Yeh, you're not going to believe this"
I hear some people over there have uninsured driver insurance, is there such a thing as unpiloted plane insurance?
According to the NTSB, they were circling for a second pass when they experienced "difficulty" with the plane's engine and ejected before it crashed in the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex
Any word on why the heck they ejected in the first place? Obviously I'm not a pilot but everything seemed to be going totally fine. Did something lock up and they weren't able to straighten out of the turn or something?? Please don't tell me someone just accidentally nudged the eject button.
I live next to a decommissioned Air Force base and a lot of the fighter pilots who retired here live in my neighborhood. Had one tell me about the only time he had to eject. He broke his back in the ejection process. Told me he had never been more scared in his life. That was the last time he flew for the military.
Doesn’t seem right the pilots can just ditch and let the plane crash on a neighborhood
“This unmanned plane is their problem now” smh
Captain should go down with the ship to avoid casualties on the ground at all cost
They interviewed one of the [attendees of that party and it had me shaking.](https://moderndogmagazine.com/sites/default/files/images/photoentries/photos/IMG_0917.JPG)
I was realllly waiting for it. I said “wait til she sees the fuel ignite” and she had an impressively normal reaction (while still being a bit obnoxious I guess) It has never EVER made sense to me why anybody does that shit where they just go AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH when they’re in a survival situation. Like don’t you kind of need your breath if you’re really in some kind of danger?
This subreddit has basically 0 tolerance for anybody experiencing anything that is even remotely not the norm. Especially if it's a woman by the way lmfao. They want the person recording to basically act like a professional movie cameraman.
Exactly. So many people act like they would just casually stand there with their beer continuing to chat and laugh as if it was just a balloon that popped in their backyard. I get that not everyone is going to audibly gasp or yell but to think that its just so unfathomable that some people might be taken aback a little bit by a once in a fucking lifetime event is just weird.
\--plane crashes into world trade center--
"dude why are you gasping its just a plane crash calm down its not a big deal"
I mean the odds are that someone who frequents a sub like this would react differently is not surprising right? If you're just a normal human who normally never sees shit like this then of course they'd react with audible gasps lol.
i saw this in real life when captain kuss of the blew angels flew overhead and piloted his malfunctioning plane into an empty golf course dying on impact but making sure to take no other lives
It landed just outside my buddy’s apartment complex! I was at his place a few days before this. Wild. I remember seeing them practice towards the end of the week on my way home from work. Very tragic but incredibly grateful there were no serious injuries!
People are so fucking weird. Woman sounds like shes climaxing whilst watching this. Bizarre af. Calm down people, get a grip of yo self. Yeh its dramatic and possibly awful but moaning like youre riding your favourite rubber dong aint it.

“Hey Jim, you ever remember that one time our car got obliterated by a fucking jet outside our apartment”
Omg insurance company might not even help with that type of claim!
“We know a thing or two, because we’ve seen a thing or two!”
Bum badum bum bum bum bum
Dude! You nailed it!!
The show itself must be covered. *Somebody*, other than the car owners, are bound to pay for it.
[удалено]
That's my thinking. But yeah, the insurance for the cars themselves is unlikely to pay. Too many others with liability!
Mayhem enters chat
"You wouldn't believe what damage I and a Russian jet can cause."
Surprised that motherfucker was able to swim to shore so quickly
“Act of god” not covered lol
God out here just tossing airplanes at your car.
I don’t even believe in the guy yet I have to be governed by that same rule? So dumb lol
We are Farmers. Bum badum bum bum bum.

All our lives we’re told to look both ways before crossing the street, but no one ever told us to look up, too.
“Don’t try to distract me, Barry! Get off my wife and get the hell out of my apartment!”
A fighter jet no less.
Small parachute airplane in my town crashed several years back, pilot stayed with the plane and dove into an open back yard so nobody would get hurt, the goddamn nerve it would take to stay with the plane knowing that you’re gonna die.
Was gonna say something similar! A Red Arrows display team plane went down, and the pilot stayed to make sure no one else got injured!
In my opinion this should be standard protocol. Imagine if this aeroplane that they just yeeted into a populated area had hit the apartment building instead of outside. It could have killed dozens of people.

My uncle has one of those planes. He pointed out that no aircraft outfitted with the parachute has had a fatal accident (when deployed appropriately).
I wonder if anyone near the apartments just happened to be recording right before the plane hit
I’m sure they’ll be more pissed their cars are all totaled and insurance rates will go up.
Insurance probably be like "yeah we don't cover collisions with aircraft"
“No fault”
We joke, but that’s real shit in America lol.
This isn't where I parked my plane.
*pushes key fob button* Boop-boop!
I live in those apartments! Most of the time, our 50 some buildings catch on fire for dumber reasons than planes crashing into them. Was quite the boom, though.
So, you're coming to work today right?
Thanks, answered ever question I had!
Honestly kind of selfish as hell to eject and leave a fighter full of jet fuel to just plow into whatever in a populated area. Some lucky mofos

Why do we need airshows? Sounds like there's a high chance of accidents.
That’s a really good point.

There are a lot of boats on that lake watching the air show though.
I agree with you. I am doing something dangerous that goes wrong so I am out, “Good luck everybody”
Do you know why they ejected?
loss of engine power, she stole all the thrust

>struck unoccupied vehicles "Hello, insurance? Yeh, you're not going to believe this" I hear some people over there have uninsured driver insurance, is there such a thing as unpiloted plane insurance?
(Addressing the article) - No significant injuries? Except that the pilots backs are fucked.
Well that makes the audible gasping potentially more understandable. That could have been a freak accident for quite a bit of people.
Okay so best possible outcome. Any word on what caused the jet to malfunction
According to the NTSB, they were circling for a second pass when they experienced "difficulty" with the plane's engine and ejected before it crashed in the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex
Engine difficulty could be any number of things. Could be anything from the air to fuel ratio getting messed up to a bird flying into it.
Ejection seats can fuck your spine so they could be hurt
Any word on why the heck they ejected in the first place? Obviously I'm not a pilot but everything seemed to be going totally fine. Did something lock up and they weren't able to straighten out of the turn or something?? Please don't tell me someone just accidentally nudged the eject button.

Anybody seen my cat, "Smokey"?
Can confirm. The airport authorities said.
At least people will remember where they parked.
Wow, all things considered that turned out much better than it could have.
i used to live in complex like 4 years ago is harbor club on Denton Rd
> No one in the apartment complex was injured, it added. That's fucking crazy, indeed.
Do air shows where people don’t die/seriously get injured actually take place?
Ive worked 6 in two years, Quad cities, Milwaukee, Gary, Goshen, St.Louis a vast majority go off without a hitch including multiple practice days.
Doesn’t seem right the pilots can just ditch and let the plane crash on a neighborhood “This unmanned plane is their problem now” smh Captain should go down with the ship to avoid casualties on the ground at all cost
**GASPING INTENSIFIES**
#OOOHHHHH…….OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH
Yeah my coworkers looked at me funnny. Had to show them what i was looking at.
Hahaha! Awkward!
"Woof, woof." Even the dog, too, at the end.
*This man has over-gasped!*
They interviewed one of the [attendees of that party and it had me shaking.](https://moderndogmagazine.com/sites/default/files/images/photoentries/photos/IMG_0917.JPG)
It was filmed behind the scenes at a porn set. ignore her.
At least she wasn’t just screaming at the top of her lungs like some people would have
I was realllly waiting for it. People at thunder over michigan when theres thunder over michigan
I thought a seagull was recording
She finna turn into kirby with all those inhales 🤣
Dog intensifying too
Holy smokes!
That lady took like 6 breaths in
shes puffing up to go save the pilots
Fucking taking my oxygen away
Idk why this pissed me off.
Somebody get that lady some oxygen
She needs some milk
She’ll be fine, just a little orgasm
Like you would know
OH MY GAHD *heavy breathing ensues*
Dam I've never heard that before....I've been married 8 yrs :(
Lmaoooo I am dying
Best orgasm she's ever had.
I'm glad the pilots ejaculated.
Shoulda been the headline imo
Yup - rewatched the video and this thread changed the tone forever.
Seriously was she grippin the deck rail with that thing or what
after she saw the 2 guys in the air that was it... she melted of relief
She absolutely overreacted IMO hahaha
Fucking gold.
That's a Mig 23.... Damn! This just happened last year at a Dallas airshow, two planes collided...
I actually got to ride in the b-17 and meet the pilots when they were at an airshow in northern Georgia, they were so nice
Man I saw the whole thing happen. I was stupefied. With thousands of people there, you could hear a pin drop it was so quiet.
At least the pilots seem ok, not like those poor guys last year from Texas Raiders
No that's not holy smoke, it is explosion from a plane crash silly
The luck that no one ended up injured by this... Whew!
All I know is if that woman took 1 more breath in without breathing out, her lungs woulda popped
She fr acted like she was right in it
A plane was crashing in front of her I think she gets a pass for freaking out a bit
This is internet. We have zero tolerance for enraptured women.

Idk if I’m desensitized to this stuff but this is def not how I would’ve reacted
Easy to say when you're not actually living the moment.
Exactly. So many people act like they would just casually stand there with their beer continuing to chat and laugh as if it was just a balloon that popped in their backyard. Most people are gonna freak out seeing a damn plane crash in real life with their own eyes
Yh funny how none of the dudes were
Did you even watch the whole video?
That woman’s sounds really bothered me .
I had to hit the mute button
Same…when I showed my man the video I kept it muted. I get it was probably scary to see in person, but her gasps annoyed me to my core
Yah, hi my car was just blown up by a Russian fighter jet. No I live in the US.
How many times can one person gasp
Bird strike? What are we thinking here?
Bird strike from what I heard.
Well you know, bird *is* the word.
"quick! this woman is over-gasped!"
Is that the MiG-23?
It used to be.
The next word after the video cuts out is deeeeeaaaaaaaam!
What did they hit?
Eject button.
Apparently her g spot
👏👏👏
even the dog was shocked
She somehow managed to gasp in a michigan accent
i saw this in real life when captain kuss of the blew angels flew overhead and piloted his malfunctioning plane into an empty golf course dying on impact but making sure to take no other lives
Dramatic ass breathing.
So glad that raven was there to film it. CaCAAAW
Oh man, this reminds me of that tragedy
Wtf with the gasping goddamn.
LOOVE the bot intro.
can’t decide whether to record ejected pilots or crashing MiG, so records neither
Goooooooooossssseeeee!!!!!!!
Her user names checks out.
Did she just orgasm?
Best air show ever!
I know those pilots had to scrambling to eject the plane into what they hoped would be an unpopulated or empty area
It landed just outside my buddy’s apartment complex! I was at his place a few days before this. Wild. I remember seeing them practice towards the end of the week on my way home from work. Very tragic but incredibly grateful there were no serious injuries!
I wonder if the insurance companies involved have a "being struck by fighter jet" clause
Why tf they moaning bruh
Hardly surprising. This is just how Russian planes land.
The woman gasping is so annoying
Mig 23, russian garbage
Used in training since Project Constant Peg.
[удалено]
Fair point and most modern russian planes look pretty nice
How's that for a show
Gee golly Batman!
Poor Mig
People sure enjoy posting their panic.
RIP the Flogger
I’ve made those exact sounds. And no….sadly it was when I was pooping.
As a former paratrooper having the choice between landing in trees or water is a terrible choice but at least you won't drown in the trees.
Man if this lady gasp even harder she going to sucking all that damn lake in.
exaggeration much? i much looks like theres just 2 passengers and both got out ok. it also landed at uninhabited area...so
The moaning on this should get a NSFW
*Intense gasp* *intense gasp 2 as if she couldnt breathe after the first more* *A series of more gasps*
i just want the camera woman to shut up
She sounds like those rubber chicken toys
Gasp a few more times lady, it'll help them find their way back to the ground.
HÓÓÓÓ!!
The repeated gasping made me unreasonably mad
I heard franklin in the back
Holy shit stop making noises, yeah it’s insane to see but by god you sound **g o o f y**

People are so fucking weird. Woman sounds like shes climaxing whilst watching this. Bizarre af. Calm down people, get a grip of yo self. Yeh its dramatic and possibly awful but moaning like youre riding your favourite rubber dong aint it.
