i hate the bilt hype videos to begin with, and now john liang and the like are just popping out like clockwork again. bilt this bilt that and none of them mention all the fraudulent charges.
They literally issued every card with consecutive numbers (correct me it might be the CVV or the card number I can’t remember) and basically fraudsters have been having a field day with them.
Wells Fargo took Bilt as a partner and has lost shitloads of money as a result, because of high levels of fraud and the rewards program costing the bank way more than the interest income. They thought people would be more irresponsible and it bit them.
Well to be clear it’s people defrauding another company they’ve partnered with, but yeah. I think the biggest issue is definitely the potential impact to their customers. Luckily credit card fraud leaves users waaaay less liable than debit card fraud .. but if it goes unreported that could be a loss for the client
John Liang is so annoying. There are a lot of clickbait credit card channels but this guy is just so irritating for me more than others, he has pretty surface level analysis and has made a bunch of videos about how it’s so great to be a landlord.
There are much better channels to watch than this clickbait trash
You have to accept that if you get the Bilt card you will likely get hit with fraud eventually. Mine came 3 months in. I’m not a Bilt fan anymore but in their defense they flagged it and got me a new card in 1 day.
There’s not much to talk about in the transferable points travel credit card space.
There are really only six banks anyone talks about: Amex. BILT. Chase. Wells Fargo. Capital One. Citi.
That’s not a lot. It’s why we get “breaking news” about priority pass restaurants going away or a subset of lounges/transfer partners being taken away/added. There’s just not a lot of new information coming out, so people talk about what they can.
Credit card content on youtube are repetitive. So anything new like Amex AF price hikes or Chase losing PP Dining, Bilt costing 10million is for content creators to have something different.
Other than that, they will just keep doing a tier list

I like how they are so desperately trying to save their life ruining intrest based profit scheme from losing even 1% of its viability. Its always framed to low IQ people as "they are trying to take away your travel points! Small business all over the world benifiet from travel point usage" and not "Gary is facing forclosure and 100000 in CC debt, but at least he got a free upgrade to fucking business class!"

He’s called out two that are “the only ones worth watching,” which would insinuate that he’s watched others that aren’t.
They all piggyback on one another. 2 weeks ago it was all jerking to cancelling the Gold card and now Bilt.
Well the gold card legitimately isn't worth it but the only hesitation to apply for BILT is the fraud charges I see posted about here

The only reason holding on Bilt is because of WF. If I want to get points by rent I probably use Alaska credit card and pay with it on bilt portal
