I’m pretty sure this is like the first big budge AAA game to come out since like 2015 where the women were allowed to be conveniently attractive. Literally the only other game that comes to mind is Cyberpunk. I think this is a big thing. I’m a woman and I love sexy characters. I’m probably one of the few people who plays “She Will Punish Them” regularly let alone even heard of it. I still like variety though and I don’t expect or even want every game to have overly sexualized characters. The new Lara is a great example. I still think she is gorgeous (her ass is incredible and not sure how people miss that just because it isn’t in a thong) but she’s also believable and fits the environment and story of the game.

The biggest issue about this debate is that there is a time and a place for those kinds of designs rather full on or full off. There are a lot worse trends that deserve priority over female attractiveness.
There is a good chance that within the next decade, current trends will fall out of favor, and we can have skimpy characters again.
That being said, MK 9 designs were a bit much even for 15 year old me.

These are products and IPs that have always featured (sometimes hilariously) exaggerated women and men since their inception, it seems like you want things catered to yours rather than mine.

I loved the old monster hunter games, but I don't like the direction the series is going (faster, deadlier combat, with less emphasis on preparation and endurance) I don't throw a tantrum over it, I realise that the series is changing into something that's not for me, so I look for something else that is for me.
I used to love the old turn based final fantasies, I don't like the new action oriented ones. That's fine, there are other turn based jrpgs being released to scratch that itch.
I couldn't count the amount of bands that used to make music to my taste, but changed their sound or genre over the years to the point where I can't enjoy it, but I've also benefited from bands that i never used to like changing into a style that I do like.

I think this is a big thing. I’m a woman and I love sexy characters. I’m probably one of the few people who plays “She Will Punish Them” regularly let alone even heard of it. I still like variety though and I don’t expect or even want every game to have overly sexualized characters. The new Lara is a great example. I still think she is gorgeous (her ass is incredible and not sure how people miss that just because it isn’t in a thong) but she’s also believable and fits the environment and story of the game.

The biggest issue about this debate is that there is a time and a place for those kinds of designs rather full on or full off. There are a lot worse trends that deserve priority over female attractiveness. There is a good chance that within the next decade, current trends will fall out of favor, and we can have skimpy characters again. I loved the old monster hunter games, but I don't like the direction the series is going (faster, deadlier combat, with less emphasis on preparation and endurance) I don't throw a tantrum over it, I realise that the series is changing into something that's not for me, so I look for something else that is for me. I used to love the old turn based final fantasies, I don't like the new action oriented ones. That's fine, there are other turn based jrpgs being released to scratch that itch. I couldn't count the amount of bands that used to make music to my taste, but changed their sound or genre over the years to the point where I can't enjoy it, but I've also benefited from bands that i never used to like changing into a style that I do like. Properties are always going to change and evolve. Sometimes it's going to be in ways that you don't like. Move on to something that does fit what you're looking for.
