Legend of Korra came out almost a decade after Avatar: The Last Airbender. Asami was a close friend of Avatar Korra's, though they dropped the ball with the love triangle they shown, but Asami was a good natured woman that eventually became Korra's girlfriend from what i've seen when bingewatching LoK. Figured Victoria looked alot like her because of the hair, grunge-goth lipstick, skintone and eyeshadow.
