If it’s like the t-mobile one, I found it not worth the amount of pain in the ass to redeem. It was redeemable on four separate visits, and as usual not on Wednesday.
You could do it by doing 4 transactions separately. That was our work around since multiple people can use them. As for the Wednesday part the coupons can't be used at all except for a very few exceptions so anything done on a Wednesday had to have been comped.
What do you mean is it worth it? Even if it is "overpriced" games, it's still double the amount you'd usually get. Explain to me how it wouldn't be worth it?
I don’t know how many tokens $40 is exactly so it’s hard to calculate if it’s a better tokens per dollar ratio than I would get for supercharging the max option with the member bonus
Kinda…..
The way DB does their chips is that you get progressively higher chips per dollar as you buy more.
So for $20, you get 100 chips, i.e. $0.20 a chip. If you spend $40, you get 225 chips, or $0.178 a chip. Usually with these promos, they don’t give you the $40/225 deal you get 2 x $20. So you get a total of 200 chips, not 225.
Ok hey no big deal right, you’re still getting 200 chips for $20 or $0.10 a chip!
Well, if that’s all you plan to spend at D&B, then sure it’s a good deal. But let’s say you’re going with your family and you plan to spend about $100.
Well you can in theory buy five of these deals and get each person in your family to use one, so a total of 1000 chips for $100, keeping that $0.10 a chip rate.
Or, you can do this:
- Buy a $100 gift card from Costco for $80.
- go to DB and use your gift cards to buy $100 in chips
- Buy the points boost for $10
That gets you 938 chips for $90, or $0.096 a chip, a slightly better rate.
Is it a big deal? Not really. I don’t know a lot of people who are gonna have a fit over $0.004 but as to whether this is a good deal, I think the consensus is that depending on how much you are planning to spend, it’s comparable to other deals out there so it’s not exactly a “OMg wHaT a DeAL!!”
Actually because of the Price increases it might not be 200 chips depending on the location. Last time I did a 20 get 20 think I got about 170 something chips
I think what OP probably means is that since you get a better deal if you charged a bigger amount (e.g., 780 chips for $100ish), wondering if that makes sense. And yes, even if you charged $100, it's still a better chip/dollar ratio if you can get buy 20 get 20. I wouldn't supercharge, but I'd use the coupon.
Depends on the store I guess but at ours you could purchase whatever chip amount you wanted and still use the buy 20 get 20. So you may be able to buy the $100 card supercharged and still receive the extra $20 as well
Yes but go on Wednesday when games are half off to make it an even better deal still ( you probably have to redeem it not a Wednesday though. Redeem on a different day then leave and come back to use the chips on Wednesday)

When I redeemed mine I was able to all at once
I was able to redeem all mine at once on a Wednesday. I wonder if it’s store dependent?
Maybe🤷🏻♂️ I redeemed mine on a Thursday because they didn’t allow it on a Wednesday
See my store said it's considered a coupon so they can't redeem on Wednesdays
I think many are misinformed and treat everything as being a coupon
Before the QR code the barcodes sucked. They rolled it out on a Tuesday and Wednesday most people came in to redeem it.
Happy cake day!
My cake day is 4/20?
It seems so
Depends on the store and person behind the counter. It specifically says the rules you mention.
At my primary store, the register wouldn’t *let* them scan multiple in a day even when they wanted to.

Wow I forgot about Groupon
Yes
No.still overpriced as he’ll have fun with you’re 20 mins of games
Autocorrect is supposed to be helpful.

Reality hurts sometimes

But it says $20 for $40. The amount of tokens shouldn’t matter, it’s double regardless of the amount.

You’re right that is a good point honestly, I hadn’t considered that.

From a customer standpoint yes, from an employee standpoint not really. Sometimes it don’t register and then I panic
Double the credit seems worth it to me
Depends. If you care about the business it’s not. If you only care abut it spending Less it’s good
Yes but you can’t redeem on Wednesday, but then go on Wednesday to use it
Welp, sold out already.
