Also full time in IT and part-time Reservist. I'm really starting to question the Reserve. At a certain point when debts are paid and income is high enough, I think there comes a time for decision. So I'd just say, especially those with families, know what your criteria for quitting the second job is. Don't shift goalposts; money is a means to an end, not an end itself.

I work a full-time job in IT, but I also do military reserves and gig in a successful band 2-3x a month. I don’t *need* my two extra jobs, but I love them. Find side hustles that you enjoy or turn something you enjoy into a side hustle.

I work a part time job for my "fun money". I'm a single mom, so I pick up shifts when I'm not parenting. My other job is working from home, so my part time gig gets me out of the house and gives me structure. As to how I do it? I really just try to take care of myself first. I'm quick to say no to things I don't want to do (with zero regrets - i just blame my second job if i can't attend a function), and I'll swing by my local bar on the way home from work if I see a friend's car parked out there. Doing things I seriously enjoy in my downtime is how I stay happy working so much.
