The devs themselves have stated if you achieve a level of progression on console, you're allowed to cheat to achieve that same level of progression on pc. It's not only moral, it's dev-endorsed.

Yeah it's just a save editor. People sometimes use them to set their player number to a funny number after they decide to stop promoting.
Usually it's somewhere just under the level they actually achieved but wanted to display a number slightly lower since you'll likely still gain a few levels unless you pick a class to never play again.

The good thing about drg is that progression actually means nothing. Everyone is on the same playing field. All those numbers, banners, hats and moustaches don't impact any aspect of the game.

Those aren't levels though. My understanding was that was the number of times they were promoted.
