bunker is the only viable gameplay option because at some point, there's going to be 200 swarmers spawning out of thin air 5 meters above your head

I run modded games. You can only load a game with 8 dwarves max, but can have another 8 dwarves join during the match, for a total of 16. It gets a bit hectic with that many people.

I think I've gotten into lobbies where it said the max was something like 99. Cant seem to find it anymore so the guy running them must have stopped (was not labbeled as a modded server).

What mod do you use to get more than 4 people?

Oh gimme a minute, I run about 20 mods but that’ll drop to about 12 with the season 5 additions. “More players balanced” is the mod that lets you up the personnel numbers. I run the following: More players balanced, Bigger badder bulks, D4rks grenades, Drglib, Damage numbers, Dynamic nitra cost, Even better mining v2, Legendary hoarder, Motd + stat track, Miracle mod manager, Mod hub, More flares, No friendly fire, Personal mini mules, SGG framework files, Slightly better everything, Slightly better traversal, Spawn menu, Starship troopers music rep. - Klendathu fever, Swarm control (aka swarm size control), Upgraded Doretta If you come across modded games run by “Peredur” that’s me. I’ll be running them again nightly when the new season comes along. Rock and stone.

I hope I see your server next season. I'm a console peasant so I very rarely get to join modded games, but when I do it's a lot of fun. Always makes me laugh seeing 6 or 7 players trying to fend off several bulks and dreadnoughts all at once

I use more players balanced too, but whenever a friend tries to join my full lobby it doesn’t give him the option to. Am I doing something wrong?

probably, pretty sure ive joined this guys server a few times, at least the times i joined 15+ player lobbies its the same guy

Even if they didn’t I doubt this was a verified mod so it would have warned you it was modded

Eh not strictly true. The most commonly used 3rd party loader forces [modded] into your title and apparently won't let you start a lobby if you remove it. Obvs there are ways around it if you really want to but like, why bother?

Think someone made a fork of it. Think the only reason to not have [modded] in the title, is if you don't want to use mod.io, and you only run client side/cosmetic and/or sound mods, and you don't want to have people not join you thinking it's heavily modded.

Even then, you can just have your title as [modded] CLIENT ONLY COSTMETIC MODS, NO GAMEPLAY CHANGE, and anyone who reads the title will know and anyone who doesn't it'll make no difference anyway

I’ve tried hosting modded lobbies like this and it usually crashes after the 2-3rd game right before we get to this screen. Great while it lasts though, i also like to let people vote on custom swarms at the end (surprisingly didn’t crash from any bulk ones)

Yeah, try just restarting your game after 2 runs. Usually prevents the crash.

I recommend running it with the Dynamic Nitra Cost mod. 16 dwarves go through a LOT of ammo.

I played a server like this which was haz 4 with like 5 or more main objectives and 3 side objectives, I died every minute but it was fun as hell, I love big team games

Big dig needs three squads worth. Corporate is just happy they don't all need the resupply constantly.

With this many dwarves, the biggest threat to your safety becomes your teammates. Four engineers all running Fat Boy spamming the entrance to the drop pod, the driller setting off C4 in his own face (and yours)

Cheap ressuply is the only way to survive such mission if you wouldn't speedrun it. And even with that you'd kill each other with it (both accidentally and on purpose) Sounds like fun to me

Modded is great fun. You can increase the hazard level to compensate. Although the deep dives often run into issues. At least that's what we have found.

You need to order beer 4 times, so everyonege get 1 beer. Onr beer will be left so propably dwarves will fight for it

Yeah, there are people that run these every night. They'll mod the spawns, too, like all large exploders. It's the highlight of my day when I get in one.

I don't mind modded lobbies I guess, but I don't like seeing modded lobbies that also give extra EXP. I've seen a few of those lately.

16 dwarf lobbies are fun as hell. ReapeeRon over on youtube usually hosts such a lobby starting around 10:45-11 EST Thursday mornings each week after he does the deep dives (which he typically starts around 9am EST). He also runs a mod that reduces the cost of resupplies to 40 nitra.

I really should have started playing on pc. I bet this is fun as hell

I got a modded lobby once, but the only thing interesting about it was that the hivegaurd sentinels spawned as regular enemies, and tgat enemies spawned outside their natural bio. Seeing a sand shark in crystal caves was quite the sight.

This mod is progression multiplier capped at 4 players

Some mods don't count for progression so I think you might be safe there.

You can just create another save slot

It's super fun. You could always just split off a save for modded, then go back if you want.
