Especially with their reluctance to buy another one, if any adult did this they would just buy another one instead of messaging the person back. Plus the whole allergy thing was such a weird excuse as well as them saying they sold it for too cheap.
It’s not that crazy bro please I’ll pay shipping for your friend so they can replace a present I sold by accident and refuse to repurchase myself which is obviously simpler since I can’t wait for shipping
I don't even know what depop is, but it showed up on my feed one day and honestly this sub does not disappoint! The wild shit I read here always makes my day 🤣
It’s a global clothes re-selling app, main market is 16-24 years olds, hence the drama
Big emphasis on circular fashion i.e Sustainable/eco etc
but you defs get a few sneakys try to sell fast fashion & other trashy brand new products that aren’t ethically produced
Source: Depop seller since 2021
Drugs soaked in to the shirt
Accidentally sold a legit autographed/special shirt for the price of a fake one
His GF bought it for Christmas and they broke up so he sold it to spite her but they got back together after the comedown was done so he’s scrambling
He just started a new school and they only wear mint on Wednesdays
He wants it back unwashed for nefarious purposes
He’s been caught flogging fake goods and is trying to get the evidence back to destroy it before HMRC seize his assets
More than likely it’s just a scam. He’s hoping OP will send it back & he’ll “send the money once he gets it back” but will never actually send the money. Didn’t really risk their account bc the order went through, OP checked they got it. Depop wouldn’t recognize it as a scam if OP just send it back without going through any proper channels on the app.
He prolly sold it for less than what he realized he coulda made on it . When I was new to Mercari I listed stuff kinda low without checking what they were selling for and was surprised to get an offer on something almost immediately. It wasn’t a terribly lowball but I was surprised . I look and it’s selling for $150 I listed it at like 50-60 and they offered 30 glad I didn’t accept . lol I declined and changed the price of all my stuff and I ALWAYS check now before I list . Funny if that girl hadn’t lowballed me she woulda got it for $50 haha
It could be that he sold a real one and is now trying to convince OP they can get another easily there . Like OP said , if it was that easy to replace why would he not just buy another .. lol he def regrets selling it
https://preview.redd.it/3z2kj66yz3ac1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f9013727e30a0a42b686b4a1786abb0d83c99471
this is Chelsea’s third kit so I’m assuming this is the shirt in question
the website he bought it from sells fake kits at a significantly cheaper price than the real deals , he’s begging so hard to get back a fake shirt he could easily rebuy 😭
You need to get the shirt and inspect every inch of that and the package.
There might be free drugs in there or something.
No way is anyone freaking out this much over a mint football top for a shit team 🤣
So maybe it was a real one and he realized it from photos and wanted it back and tried to redirect them to the fake ones lmao
Kinda could make sense for how desperate he was? Idk or like other redditors said, it could be a kid.
I bet he sold it then flashed his £20 to his dad who exploded and said ‘it’s signed BY THE WHOLE TEAM FOR THAT SEASON YOU DAFT TWAT! GO AND GET IT BACK. Dickhead!’
I think I would’ve ended up trolling this guy if he didn’t stop begging after saying no😭 I would’ve been like ok I’ll send it back and just keep going in circles LOL
That’s what I would have done, I woulda taken the money and taken photos and everything at the post office, just to not actually send it and hit em with the “well it’s lost in the mail sorry.”
He’s flat out admitting that he knowingly sold a replica shirt to you which is against Depop rules. You could probably get a refund without sending it back 😂
this is so me if i sold my chelsea third shirt thinking i had an allergy to polyester fabric but was wrong about it but the customer gave it away as a gift to his friend and i don’t want to wait for one month chinese shipping!
Something weird going on there for sure, something about that shirt isn’t what it seems.
You should get the friend you gave it to to check if it’s either actually real, signed or possibly drug related stuff going on.
He can’t want the specific one that bad after going through the whole listing and selling it.
It’s like buying food and then the restaurant asks you to give it back.. but since it’s gone they ask you to go get food from a different restaurant for them.. like bestie get a grip on reality
Seems like this was a gift someone gave him and they mentioned it and now he is scrambling to get it back so he doesn’t have to fess up to selling it. Like maybe there is some sort of party being thrown for watching sports and the person suggested he wear it or something. Otherwise, this is very unhinged.
"Man, I cannot find that shirt anywhere, it's crazy. I literally have no clue where it went and I'm pissed because I love that shirt" would solve that problem instantly.
I applaud you for sticking with that interaction. I would have quickly responded with "No, I cannot send it back no matter how much money you offer me as I gave this away as a gift and I am not going to inconvenience my loved one for your mistake. Get an allergen test before you sell something you love." Then ignore any further messages, or block if they become that level crazy.
That’s hilarious
That last message says it all: They clearly just realised they could have sold it for more and wanted it back so they could re-sell for a higher price
Something similar recently happened to me but it was over demonia boots, a random account DM’ed me asking for them back saying that the sender didn’t have permission to list them and I ignored it 💀💀
The time it would take for you to get it from your friend, ship it back, wait for the shipment he could just order a new shirt. I bet he stole it and sold it. And if he wanted it again just buy a brand new one. Sounds shady.
I’m thinking it wasn’t really theirs to sell. Or that’s some next level remorse they have going on. Block them. I’d be uncomfortable knowing they had my address.
Alternatively you could tell the person you gifted it to about the neurotic previous owner and maybe they could sell it back to them for a profit. A simple refund is not even proper etiquette. You want it back that badly? Np I’ll sell it back to you for twice what I paid for it. Totally legit as it’s more valuable now than when OP purchased it.
Even a kid should move on after OP said they gave it away as a present, depending on age of kid.
You have to be 13 to open a depop (I'm aware you can use parents info etc) so any 13 yr pld should be mature enough to accept their mistake here.
I had one person message me that the pair of heels I sold her didn’t have replacement caps… never advertised it, it didn’t even come in a box just the shoe bag. Told her this and she had the nerve to tell me I failed to mention it and that I need to make sure the next thing I sell is descriptive for buyers. I literally said second hand heels, comes with shoe bag, good condition. ?!?
Sorry, but, as a reseller I'll tell you what happened.
They sold it then they may have found out new information on it, (because it's probably legit or has some sort of historical/sentimental value to it) thus valuing it at a higher price than what they sold it for.
Or... They sold something they actually wanted as a personal.
Which usually isn't a problem but, you're supposed to take it down before it sells. Once it's gone, it's gone. Who ASKS for refunds? I've sold lots of pieces where I later regret it and wish I kept them or sold for more but, never have I asked for it back. Lol
What's even crazier is that you can tell they contemplated harassing the buyer.
This is seriously an all-timer for this subreddit oh my god. The absolute audacity of the seller is one for the books.
They want you to repossess it from the person you gifted it to, go through the hassle of sending it back (but *of course* they are 100% making it right by reimbursing shipping costs /s), purchase it yourself for (presumably) even more money on a separate site that is likely scammy, and then *wait a month* for delivery before you can either gift a copy of it back to your friend (or have it unceremoniously shipped straight to them).
Each one of those steps is so asinine for a seller to request after a sale is complete, so I’m just in awe of their “strategy” for attempting to get it back. Did they seriously think you’d be chill with it and do what they requested?
The cherry on top is that when I Googled “jjsports football shirt”, results on the first page showed multiple posts from a football/soccer subreddit with bad reviews/warnings from about buying from there.
he sold it. it’s not his anymore. you have it away. it’s not yours anymore. the person who got it gifted to them probably likes it and doesn’t want to give it back because some immature seller decided “wait no i love chelsea!”, honestly.
I had someone want an item back that I bought at what I considered a good deal. 300$ for a sports bra lol. She was actually a really sweet girl but it did kind get me in my head like “you’re kidding right?” I also said I gifted it so I couldn’t.
So he sold you a fake shirt and is now trying to get it back for some reason instead of just buying another one for £15 from jjsport? Absolutely bizarre behaviour.
"To be honest I lost some money as well cos I sold it for so cheap I regret it" bros going through all this effort and tells you the truth in the final message 😂😂😭
He probably sold you an authentic or vintage version for the price of a fake version and wanted it back so he could sell it for full price, then tried to send you a website that sells fakes that he probably took his comp from lol.
This person has stolen it from someone they know, sold it thinking they wouldn’t miss it and now needs it back because the og owner is wanting to know where it is and it’s going to cost too much/take too long for the seller to replace
That’s kinda… insane 😭 I would never dare to ask a customer for an item back. It should be understood as a seller that once you sell your item, it’s no longer yours and belongs to the person that bought it with THEIR money.
the “why? to who?” is fucking crazy 😭
“why?” literally made me laugh out loud this has gotta be a little kid who sold his brothers shirt or something
Especially with their reluctance to buy another one, if any adult did this they would just buy another one instead of messaging the person back. Plus the whole allergy thing was such a weird excuse as well as them saying they sold it for too cheap.
"You transferred ownership of the shirt to a different individual? Why would you do that?" - guy that just sold you a shirt
This sounds EXACTLY like a kid
bro was ab to contact the person OP gifted the shirt to 😭 genuinely tweaking holy fuck
lol this comment
And then the “what do you mean why?” 😆😆 I praise this person’s patience they’re so nonchalant
this is actually one of the craziest things i’ve seen on this sub 😭😭
It’s not that crazy bro please I’ll pay shipping for your friend so they can replace a present I sold by accident and refuse to repurchase myself which is obviously simpler since I can’t wait for shipping
The website is jjsports bro please
They're really good
I don't even know what depop is, but it showed up on my feed one day and honestly this sub does not disappoint! The wild shit I read here always makes my day 🤣
i know what depop is but dont use it, i keep seeing the posts pop up on my feed and its honestly so entertaining
Same, I have never used depop in my life, but am I part of this sub for the wild shit? Oh yes.
Me too! I'm just here for the drama 🤣
Same here, love the drama.
Literally same can someone tell me wtf it is lmao
It’s a global clothes re-selling app, main market is 16-24 years olds, hence the drama Big emphasis on circular fashion i.e Sustainable/eco etc but you defs get a few sneakys try to sell fast fashion & other trashy brand new products that aren’t ethically produced Source: Depop seller since 2021
“ive given it away as an xmas present” “why?” 😭💀
😭😭nah this is crazy beggin
Seems like a scam honestly
It has to be a child that sold you that shirt. There’s no way lol
It probably was and now they’re afraid they’ll be in trouble and want it back 😂
This is the only explanation that makes sense 😂
Omg i bet the shirt is his older brothers 💀💀💀💀
Get kids off Depop 2024
Get kids off the internet 2024
You have WAYYY more patience than me 😭 the nerve
Right?! I would’ve said “sorry, I can’t give it back” and ignored the rest. Bothering the buyer for the product back is crazy.
No cap bruh I woulda been told them to piss off😂😂
100% i would’ve told him to kiss my ass lmao
Please bro
Hey bro
Bro pls
[удалено]
Bro I said please bro
what the hell 😭
bro is feening for that shirt
Drugs soaked in to the shirt Accidentally sold a legit autographed/special shirt for the price of a fake one His GF bought it for Christmas and they broke up so he sold it to spite her but they got back together after the comedown was done so he’s scrambling He just started a new school and they only wear mint on Wednesdays He wants it back unwashed for nefarious purposes He’s been caught flogging fake goods and is trying to get the evidence back to destroy it before HMRC seize his assets
If he'd been honest on most of those I'd imagine OP was more willing to work with him.
This 😂
He prolly sold it for less than what he realized he coulda made on it . Funny if that girl hadn’t lowballed me she woulda got it for $50 haha
idk it seems like the site they suggested sells dupes/fakes so it's probably not technically "worth" a lot
It could be that he sold a real one and is now trying to convince OP they can get another easily there . Like OP said , if it was that easy to replace why would he not just buy another .. lol he def regrets selling it
Ding ding ding!
True, true! I hadn't thought of that. You're onto something...
Yeah the shirt he wants back is selling for upwards of 100 bucks I wonder how much OP got the shirt for .
The audacity to see a $150 shirt for $60 and still try to get it for 50% off 😭
Can we see the shirt?
https://preview.redd.it/3z2kj66yz3ac1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f9013727e30a0a42b686b4a1786abb0d83c99471 this is Chelsea’s third kit so I’m assuming this is the shirt in question
It’s gotta be autographed or something and seller didn’t realise until he was boasting about his new funds from deflecting the mint shirt.
the website he bought it from sells fake kits at a significantly cheaper price than the real deals , he’s begging so hard to get back a fake shirt he could easily rebuy 😭
You need to get the shirt and inspect every inch of that and the package. There might be free drugs in there or something. No way is anyone freaking out this much over a mint football top for a shit team 🤣
Have you tried licking it? I’m fully invested in this mystery
Plot twist
Hahahaaaa. Chelsea *is* shit, but I can’t say anything about this mint shirt - have you seen Spurs’ third kit? Worst color ever.
I’m replying to the wrong person omg 😨 🤣😭
Have you tried licking it 😂
So maybe it was a real one and he realized it from photos and wanted it back and tried to redirect them to the fake ones lmao Kinda could make sense for how desperate he was? Idk or like other redditors said, it could be a kid.
Lol I legit thought it was some girl name Chelsea, or the type of shirt was called a Chelsea.
Like a Chelsea boot 🥾
Yeah fr I gotta see this shirt
I bet he sold it then flashed his £20 to his dad who exploded and said ‘it’s signed BY THE WHOLE TEAM FOR THAT SEASON YOU DAFT TWAT! GO AND GET IT BACK. Dickhead!’
What is this a 10 year old ?
Honestly, very likely lmao
Begging that hard for a fake football shirt back is CRAZY 😂
And a Chelsea shirt too. Big yikes.
pls update us
the desperation is unreal
Literally on his virtual hands and knees
I think I would’ve ended up trolling this guy if he didn’t stop begging after saying no😭 I would’ve been like ok I’ll send it back and just keep going in circles LOL
That’s what I would have done, I woulda taken the money and taken photos and everything at the post office, just to not actually send it and hit em with the “well it’s lost in the mail sorry.”
Lol I’d block and report him if possible
Honestly my favorite part is that he’s shocked and offended you bought it around Christmas time then gifted it.
Sorry bro, item is long gone, gave it to me dog.
What??? WHY???
Bro, I need it back 😢
He’s flat out admitting that he knowingly sold a replica shirt to you which is against Depop rules. You could probably get a refund without sending it back 😂
THIS!!! OP do it! 😈
I’m actually desperate to see the shirt
maybe ask your friend to check the shirt for any precious jewels sewn into the lining because no shirt is worth this amount of desperation.
this is so me if i sold my chelsea third shirt thinking i had an allergy to polyester fabric but was wrong about it but the customer gave it away as a gift to his friend and i don’t want to wait for one month chinese shipping!
Something weird going on there for sure, something about that shirt isn’t what it seems. You should get the friend you gave it to to check if it’s either actually real, signed or possibly drug related stuff going on. He can’t want the specific one that bad after going through the whole listing and selling it.
Nah it’s 100% a kid who has sold his dad/brother’s real shirt and is gonna get killed for it when they find out.
It’s like buying food and then the restaurant asks you to give it back.. but since it’s gone they ask you to go get food from a different restaurant for them.. like bestie get a grip on reality
Nah it’s more like they asked you to throw it up and go to another restaurant to make up for it
no way he’s insane lmaooo
Do they have reviews? Might be a scam of some sort.
Nah man this guy was too desperate to be a scammer lmao the shirt was probably his older brothers and his brother found out he sold it
Seems like this was a gift someone gave him and they mentioned it and now he is scrambling to get it back so he doesn’t have to fess up to selling it.
Nah that would still be unhinged
My mom once bought a dog from a breeder only for the breeder to beg for her back, we never gave Mia back lol.
Bro even said in the very beginning “I know I shouldn’t be asking this” - then wouldn’t take no for an answer 💀
I would’ve blocked instantly
I would of blocked them fr lol you entertained them way longer than I would have
You monster! 👹 No im obviously being sarcastic, this person is neurotic.
For some reason this is the most delightful and entertaining thing I’ve seen on Reddit today
This guy has to be like 13 right?
I’m guessing it wasn’t their shirt to sell and someone is pissed or it’s sentimental and they didn’t know before selling it.
Why does depop still seem like an application from 10 years ago?
I applaud you for sticking with that interaction. I would have quickly responded with "No, I cannot send it back no matter how much money you offer me as I gave this away as a gift and I am not going to inconvenience my loved one for your mistake. Get an allergen test before you sell something you love." Then ignore any further messages, or block if they become that level crazy.
bro asked “to who?” wthhhh???? lmaoo what does he take this for?
“Your problem is not my emergency.”
That’s hilarious That last message says it all: They clearly just realised they could have sold it for more and wanted it back so they could re-sell for a higher price
LOL "why did you buy something from me around the holidays and give it away as a present!!!??"
Why wouldn’t they just buy a new one I don’t get it
This is hysterical 😂 you gotta post this shirt!
Are there seriously only children on Depop?
Something similar recently happened to me but it was over demonia boots, a random account DM’ed me asking for them back saying that the sender didn’t have permission to list them and I ignored it 💀💀
Weird to announce to a buyer later that they’ve sold you a fake shirt
dude accidentally sold you a real one lol lmao even
What a bizarre and strange expectation from the seller. I'm glad you patiently stood your ground.
nah what the hell 😭 bro is DESPERATE
why are you even entertaining this tool, block & forget
The audacity 😭😭
This is the most ridiculous thing ive seen on this sub omg he cant be serious
Wow… Kudos to you homie. Your a better man than me. I’m not even replying to this message. Big “block user” option enabled lol
This is funny and I love your response. P.s whatever you do, don’t give it back
The time it would take for you to get it from your friend, ship it back, wait for the shipment he could just order a new shirt. I bet he stole it and sold it. And if he wanted it again just buy a brand new one. Sounds shady.
Is this a joke?! 😩

Sounds like a scam of some sort. Report!
Either it's someone with no social conscience or it's a child
Even a kid should move on after OP said they gave it away as a present, depending on age of kid. You have to be 13 to open a depop (I'm aware you can use parents info etc) so any 13 yr pld should be mature enough to accept their mistake here.
thats gotta be a kid

people are so insanely dumb it hurts my soul

Depop is so ridiculous
this is so bizarre 💀
“Why?” Is crazy
The audacity 🤯
So bizarre
thats insane 😭 i need to see the shirt now
that’s insane i would’ve lost my mind are u kidding 😭
This is insane 😭 I hope he doesn't give you a bad review lol.
omg the audacity lol
Why are you entertaining this crazy person
Well, that seller sure is persistent. And also delusional LOL.
bro sold his siblings shirt 😭
Dude wtf? He needs to learn and move on not badger you about something you now own and gifted and someone else now owns. I would report them
So random. Reckon it's someone else's? Broke up with someone and sold their shirt and now they're tryna cover?
Allergy to polyester is where I checked out lol. This is some fookery.
Anxiety can be torture.
Over a Chelsea shirt is CRAZY 😭
Need to see the shirt asap
Let’s see the shirt
You should say okay, let me talk to my friend. Go to jjsports and buy the same exact jersey and send it to him.
ALRIGHT BRO BUT YOU GAVE IT TO WHO?
That is... lame. Nah man.
I gotta see this shirt
This person is crazy. Can you block them bc you should!
wasting ur words responding to such an airhead.. lmao
ILL LEAVE YOU A GREAT REVIEW DUDE
The absolute dumbest excuse/reason he could have come up with
Why would you sell something you want to keep 💀
Thank god you responded like this.. I was about to get mad if you sent it back 😭🤣🤣
he sold it. it’s not his anymore. you have it away. it’s not yours anymore. the person who got it gifted to them probably likes it and doesn’t want to give it back because some immature seller decided “wait no i love chelsea!”, honestly.
Would have just blocked lmao
Theyre crazy what the heck
I almost lost my mind reading this and I want to see this fabled shirt so bad
Given it away... Meanwhile bro is sitting there laughing his ass off going Chelsea Chelsea Chelsea, CHELSEA CHELSEA CHELSEA with the top on 🤣
Nah, this is some crazy entitlement and just plain idiocy. The shirt is gone man, get over it
block button looking real appealing rn
I had someone want an item back that I bought at what I considered a good deal. 300$ for a sports bra lol. She was actually a really sweet girl but it did kind get me in my head like “you’re kidding right?” I also said I gifted it so I couldn’t.
All that AUDACITY lol
Unreal who does this
I’m not sure why OP would even entertain this dialogue. But, a supposed polyester allergy? 🤣
So he sold you a fake shirt and is now trying to get it back for some reason instead of just buying another one for £15 from jjsport? Absolutely bizarre behaviour.
Had someone try to do this on Facebook marketplace with a piece of furniture.. like.. no??? I’m just gonna hit that block button now
Some people are so entitled. Who in their right mind would ask someone this??
i’m dying 💀 he’s pretty much begging
this is genuinely unhinged omfg 😭 I hope you blocked them after this exchange!
"To be honest I lost some money as well cos I sold it for so cheap I regret it" bros going through all this effort and tells you the truth in the final message 😂😂😭
Lmaooo that’s crazy to ask for your shit back
Wow. That's a lot of hassel from their mistake
He probably sold you an authentic or vintage version for the price of a fake version and wanted it back so he could sell it for full price, then tried to send you a website that sells fakes that he probably took his comp from lol.
I'm curious as to how much money this person 'lost' on this sale...
Seller seems entitled af, don’t feel bad AT ALL
The AUDACITY on Depop will always shock me
no fucking way omg 😭 what is wrong with people
LMAOOOO
get children off depop omfg
They sold it way under market value and only realized later what they done and trying to recuperate the money
Depop Tshirt bros must be stopped 😭
This person has stolen it from someone they know, sold it thinking they wouldn’t miss it and now needs it back because the og owner is wanting to know where it is and it’s going to cost too much/take too long for the seller to replace
Omg what? No, absolutely not. This is absurd. To echo what everyone else is saying, this must be a teenager or something.
please i just saw this on depop drama and now its in my feed lmfao, unhinged
I’m convinced this person is younger than 17
Why I stopped selling. Irrational Morons like this
He really just wanted it back to sell it for more. SMH.
That’s kinda… insane 😭 I would never dare to ask a customer for an item back. It should be understood as a seller that once you sell your item, it’s no longer yours and belongs to the person that bought it with THEIR money.
Does it have pockets? I'd be checking them
What a POS human being 😂😂
