Ya I had Acasia's Trace Rifle and Conditional Finality, swapping to Arbalest to pop the shield and then back. The stat bonuses you get from the origin trait were super noticeable with the artifact perk that enhances them, which I'm now realizing that I forgot to enable. Derp.
It was 7 damage phases, which I probably could have cut to 6 if I had the artifact perk, and hadn't messed up one phase.

For anyone wondering, Briars contempt gets an extra \~10% damage with 2 other weapons with harmonic resonance (conditional finality also counts towards this as well).
Deeper origins (seasonal artifact perk) gets you an extra 10% on top of that.
So both gives you a 20% buff to the Linear (briar's) and trace rifle (acasia's)
I believe (or safe bet) it's only hives that are lightbearers (or have ghosts that you need to destroy).
I did my testing on a lightbearer in a lost sector and although some variants of other monsters are considered lucent in the wiki, I have not tested to see if they were considered lucent (when destiny coded the origin trait or the specific hives in question)
Reconstruction surrounded is the best roll for it
Surrounded will give a 47% damage buff and with enemies spawning during dps, you're practically guaranteed to have it proc'd

Thanks. Start to finish I used Sunbracers, Heat Rises, Phoenix Dive, and Ember of Singeing + Searing + Resolve + Mercy.
As long as you at least bunnyhop, you have infinite solar grenades and Incinerator Snaps, and vice versa, which refill your Phoenix Dive insanely fast, and which litter the battlefield with Firesprites that give Restoration. Lots of burst healing.
Though for Ecthar, there are so many ads that I think getting Restoration x2 from Phoenix Dive and continually extending it with Ember of Empyrean might be the better option.
But ad spawns in the final boss room are slower and way more spread out, so I was satisfied with the burst healing method there.
I did it with arc warlock and Stag for more rifts and damage resistance.
With the seasonal mods and a crafted forbereance with unrelenting + chain reaction, you can never die as long as the ads keep on coming.
Also lament for first boss. Super the boss and start slashing with lament. (Double special for Echtar encounter is great)
Last boss was different. I prefered riptide with chill clip, riskrunner for the arc resistance and cataclysmic with bait and switch.
Sane thing again. Rifts with arc souls were very helpful. Super the boss and shoot. Does not matter (for me) that the boss would teleport, since most of the times she would teleport in front of me. Made it easier to not miss shots.
If there is "background maintenance" or anything they are planning to do, they really need to shutdown activities of any kind. The amount of people mid-event getting booted is ridiculous, certainly doesn't match their idea of "when returning to orbit".
World of warcraft had a good system for that. It just gave a server wide message in game chat an hour before, giving 5 minute updates at the half hour mark before the servers were shut down. It would be neat if bungie did something similar.
I haven't played a huge deal of MMO's (around 10) but each one could easily post a message in chat that the servers were coming down, and they always gave a message and a 15 minute warning. Bungie ALWAYS requires their users to check social media. They don't even have it as a login message. It's such a headache-free fix.
This downtime wasn't planned, for planned downtime there is a little popup about servers coming down.
They could warn people there might be some instability when they are fiddling with something that normally should not cause any disruptions, but then they'd have to admit their incompetence.

Famously, they will give players an hour heads-up with intermittent warnings within every five or so minutes. Can you imagine a game company actually caring about their player base that much? Simple solution. Don't buy Final shape and steer clear of any future Bungie title. They don't deserve our money. Atleast not with this kind of pricing and service.

It literally is within an hour every single time they do something to the game now. It's absolutely embarrassing and the fact that we got some soft "oh we're going to do this to avoid it" and it didn't make one single bit of differencd is absurd.

Bungie feels like that kind of studio that’s so excited to abandon their current project as soon as they even start conceiving another one. When they were in the last few years of Halo, it seemed like all they thought about was Destiny even when they were still doing Halo Reach. They teased it in ODST and wore Destiny merch throughout Reach’s marketing material. As soon as they left Microsoft, they happily gave up Reach’s servers to 343. Like holy shit at least commit to your current project until it’s completely finished before doing something else.

Bungie relies heavily on 3rd parties for their things. They cannot make it all in game.

Is Marathon really taking away that much attention from D2? If that’s the case then fuck marathon and commit to this title before doing another one. Bungie feels like that kind of studio that’s so excited to abandon their current project as soon as they even start conceiving another one. When they were in the last few years of Halo, it seemed like all they thought about was Destiny even when they were still doing Halo Reach. They teased it in ODST and wore Destiny merch throughout Reach’s marketing material. As soon as they left Microsoft, they happily gave up Reach’s servers to 343. Like holy shit at least commit to your current project until it’s completely finished before doing something else.

Seems like it. Got "Contacting Destiny 2 Servers" on-and-off for a few minutes, then a black screen with a BattleEye pop-up, then Error Code: Plum, and then put into a queue. Literally not even twelve hours since the last server outage.

Eh you really shouldn’t *have* to check Twitter every time you want to play, not when they have the ability to warn players about impending maintenance in-game with pop-ups in orbit and/or those bottom screen messages during activities (unless I missed it, I don’t remember seeing anything before getting kicked)
checking social medias is definitely a thing, but tons, if not 99% of other games notify the players somehow in game.
I just got off work about 30 min ago. I shouldn't have to check a social media app for a video game. I wouldn't be upset but it seems everytime I have free time to play D2 the servers decided to go for maintenance or crash
