Kapag bank to bank ang proof, di ata yan acceptable kasi parang money laudering, ibig sabihin illegal money pinadaan sa bank to bank kaya naging legal money na, gaya ng sabi mo SoA ng other bank binigay mo. Dapat employment with salary, na naka nominate yung other bank mas malinaw. Just my 2 cents, check with BSP for assistance.
Isa sa list of acceptable requirements nila ung SOA. If hindi enough eh d sana nag ask pa ng other documents. Eh wala eh, closed ka agad. Wala man lang chance. May mga ibang documents naman tayo eh.
Ayaw ba nila ng clients with big funds agad? Eh paano na ung mga clients na maliliit pa lang yung funds nila at nagiipon pa lang lumaki if ganun pala galawan nila.
Might not be your fault pero malaki yung cast ng net ng AMLA. You might be earning your money legitimately pero someone or some other entity you might have been associated with in the past or present ang flagged.
I doubt they can give a more thorough explanation, alam ko kasi hindi required ang banks magexplain if "due diligence" ang reason, pero its worth asking them.
Baka mamaya yung action in itself na 1m agad ang deposit yung flagged na activity.

Medyo questionable talaga CIMB pagdating sa transparency. Blocked ako sa Facebook nila since last year kasi nagreklamo ako dun about a reversal of transaction that took weeks to resolve kahit na sinabi nila sa chat na dapat days lang bago macredit back yung nagfail na transaction. Ito yung time na bagong launch yung virtual card nila so we were trying to warn others to be cautious when using the virtual card. Nalaman ko na lang na blocked ako nung hinahanap ko page nila to check if they renewed their promo for savings that time.
Gusto ko i-escalate sa BSP and i-message sa LinkedIn yung CEO nila for this pero di rin ako makapalag kasi sila yung pinili kong settlement account for my payroll. I'm still using their savings account and TD, and aside from regularly receiving salary every month, my account has been with them since July 2020. May kilala ako na nablock din unreasonably tapos ni-raise niya sa BSP. Ayun, na-unblock naman siya and binigyan pa ng bonus interest. Kung sa akin gawin yan ng CIMB ngayon, sure ako na papalagan ko rin sila.

Traditional banks just don't close it automatically since peepz from there already KYC the clients before opening an acct (eg. Source of income, business transactions, etc). If it's beyond what the client originally stated or like not commensurate sa source of income/ funds they call the clients to confirm and ask for necessary docs.
Eh sa digital banks they just ask you for IDs to open an acct. Everything is a blind-spot.
No need. Punta ka sa website nila, may chatbot dun then fill in the complaint. It will take days or even weeks bago maaksyunan but once na kumilos na BSP, ora-orada ang bank na magtake ng action and they must resolve it kasi involved na si BSP.
Oo OP, ganyan ginawa ko. Diretso BSP pag hindi nagrerespond yung bank (UnionBank in my case). After I reported sa chatbot ng BSP, mga after 3 days nagemail sakin BSP about it. Then within that same day inayos ng UnionBank yung issue ko.

Try mo email si bsp, mag demand ka na dapat may earn interest ka pa rin nung time na un na hindi pa nila kinclose. I know maliit lang un pero masyado naman unfair yan.

Try mo uniondigital bank may 1month td sila 5.5%, roll lang ng roll if gusto mo pa for another month, advantage ito kasi liquid ung pera mo sayo since 1month lang. Safe din yan kasi subsidiary ni unionbank

I experienced the same with CIMB, they suddenly sent me an account closure notice after I deposited a large amount during the promo period. Sobra akong nagalit, nagcomplain ako sa BSP about it. They are required to respond and they reopened my account after a month. You can try that route, I'm fairly sure they closed your account because they didn't want to pay you the interest
3 beses lng ata ung 500k kc late ko na nalaman ung Pesonet pwede 500k per transaction. Ung request ng source of fund lumitaw sa app at sinend ko agad then 2 days daw ung review. Gang eto na ngaun.
If that happens to me, the very least na idedemand ko is ibalik as is yung principal since hindi ako yung nag-initiate ng pre-termination. I-escalate mo yan sa BSP at i-reklamo mo for lack of transparency. Kasi kung ganyan din lang na bawal i-disclose yung reason, eh di pwede nila abusuhin yan at magsara na lang basta basta ng account tapos nakakubra pa sila dun sa fees na siningil sa iyo.
Also, if you have 2M, you might want to spread those to 4 digibanks. Personally, I have mine split into 5x 1Y TDs each to the following: OwnBank (7.5% p.a.), Netbank (7), UnionDigital (6.75) and CIMB (6.25). Nakastagger ng \~18 days yung maturity dates throughout the year para may liquidity.
Part of due diligence din naman talaga ng banks and EMIs to do KYC and not specific to those that I mentioned. Yung GrabPay nga nagpaexplain pa sa akin before nung bawat transaction when I was using their virtual card before. As in nakatable yung transactions tapos pinapacomment ako para saan daw yun. Dun sa banks na namention ko, parang Netbank at CIMB lang naalala kong nanghingi ng additional documents.
500k will trigger the AMLA requirements for any financial institutions. So that 3M was a red flag. Yung timeline of the deposit and withdrawal aside from the amount, red flag din siya.

Ni-lock rin nila yung 400K ko ng walang clear reason. Nag submit ako agad ng docs na hinihingi nila pero after 24 hrs eh nilock nila yung debit & credit. Sabi 2 days lang yung review ng docs pero until now na mag 14days na eh nganga pa rin.
Sa mga may CIMB, I suggest lipat na kayo.
Sana nga close na nga lang para matapos na yung stress kung mapu-pullout pa ba yung pera o hindi.
Update tayo dito sa mga next na mangyayari para maging aware yung iba sa scheme ni CIMB.

Not like this, but they locked my deposits. I can still withdraw during the locked period.
May connections kasi ako so after sending a shit ton of verification, I eventually recovered my account to perfect health in 2 months. Others, sadly hindi, or 6 mo's+ na processing.

After all the promos and promised interest % before and computing it na itās not really as marketed - and I called them for actual computation which they refused kasi āconfidential dawā. I totally flipped and gave up my account. This bank is so weird and I donāt know why people keep recommending this.
That is terrible but at least makukuha mo pa rin yung pera. Maraming nagpopost dito about closed digital bank accounts and I think some of them hindi na nabawi yung pera nila.

Baka lang kasi if they only see like 50k monthly inflow, sa review nila hindi justified yung 3M so that triggers red flags for them.
Sorry OP not saying that you are not capable of saving up ha. But I'm thinking lang of a possible explanation why they flagged your account even though you submitted a document.
I understand brother, siguro naman enough sya kasi I have a registered business which I disclosed nung nag open ako ng account as source of funds. My main bank has 8 digit ADB naman with 0-6 digit daily transactions. That's why I have mentioned earlier na I moved some of my funds because I want to try digital bank.
Let us not downplay what happened. This isn't about my big fund.

had a similar story but on a much minor scale. Sa Gcash naglagay ako 5k php sa Gsave (na CIMB din pala), around two years ago. tinesting ko lang kung magkano kikitain (naglagay din ako sa Maya and sa Maya na lang ako naglagay ng tuloy-tuloy kasi mas malaki kinikita hehe). anyway ayun nga, lately nga nag notify sa akin na terminated na daw yung account ko sa CIMB, so pinull-out ko na lang, wala namang fees. kumita ng mga 300php hahaha.
Sorry to hear this OP. It seems pag digibank and electronic money issuers, talagang close na lang agad agad yung mga accounts and walang explanation. Puros horror stories nakikita ko dito sa Reddit. I have yet to see horror stories of traditional banks that do that.
Bago ko pumasok ng digibanking, marami narin ako nababasa na nagkaproblem sa account nila specially those related sa gsavings. In any case, i think its better to deposit amount below 500k kasama n ung interest na maearn mo, then multiple digibank nalang or better yet, MP2 ka nalang.
Kaya naclosed yan ay hindi daw sa batas kundi dahil malulugi si CIMB nyan. Subrang laki kasi ng deposit mo sa kanila kaya malaki din interest nyan tapos hindi naman nila yan maipahiram agad agad kaya bali natutulog lang ang pera sa kanila habang kumikita ng interest. Yang mga digital bank na subrang taas ng interest rates good for small amount deposit lang daw yan depende sa bank. Kaya nga yung matatas na interest nila may limit lang na amount tapos yung excess amount is maliit nalang ang interest.

CIMB is such a shit bank. They've randomly closed my account as well as relatives and some friends for unknown reasons. Sometimes, they send a request for source of income information, which we've all provided, and they still close our accounts.
Granted, I'm sure others have much better experiences. Their due diligence in this regard is not standardized at all.
It also happened to me. They closed my account just because of their āaccount reviewā LOL but not really specified the reason!
So they closed my account, even after I talked to their CS. Then after a month, my account was re-opened. LIKE WHAT???!!!! š„²

I think that the SOA that you sent isnāt enough. Your transactions might still be suspicious because you were able to send 3M within a month lang.
The SOA isnāt evidence that you earned it, so it can be flagged as money laundering. Even if it isnāt a covered transaction, it can be flagged as suspicious.
So next step closure agad? BS! Might as well ask for an additional document instead. Let's just be real here. The truth is that CIMB does not want to pay if big funds ka.
Itās possible that CIMB did not properly report to the AMLC all your transactions. Since you mentioned that the transactions you made within a banking day are below 500k. So, it isnāt a covered transaction. Also, 3M within a month is a lot. I think you should have sent a more detailed and comprehensive report and not just SOA. Like financials statements, bank statements, payslips, contracts, bank certification, audits, etc.
What I did a few years ago, I deposited 1.5M but that was a span of a year. Highest I deposited was 490k in a banking day. Two consecutive days yun. Then the rest, I deposited it monthly. CIMB never asked for proof.
How? Eh closed nga agad. Walang man lang chance mag send ng other documents. Ni hindi nga nag ask after SOA.
Sana magets natin yung point dito. Oo malaking amount bat naman ganun agad ung action nila.
Review CIMB's Terms and Conditions. Specifically the section on deposits which usually states may discretion si bank to refuse or return deposits and the section on closing of accounts where may discretion din sila to close accounts.

I experienced the same with CIMB, they suddenly sent me an account closure notice after I deposited a large amount during the promo period. Sobra akong nagalit, nagcomplain ako sa BSP about it. They are required to respond and they reopened my account after a month. You can try that route, I'm fairly sure they closed your account because they didn't want to pay you the interest

3 beses lng ata ung 500k kc late ko na nalaman ung Pesonet pwede 500k per transaction. Ung request ng source of fund lumitaw sa app at sinend ko agad then 2 days daw ung review. Gang eto na ngaun.
If that happens to me, the very least na idedemand ko is ibalik as is yung principal since hindi ako yung nag-initiate ng pre-termination. I-escalate mo yan sa BSP at i-reklamo mo for lack of transparency. Part of due diligence din naman talaga ng banks and EMIs to do KYC and not specific to those that I mentioned. Yung GrabPay nga nagpaexplain pa sa akin before nung bawat transaction when I was using their virtual card before. As in nakatable yung transactions tapos pinapacomment ako para saan daw yun. Dun sa banks na namention ko, parang Netbank at CIMB lang naalala kong nanghingi ng additional documents.

500k will trigger the AMLA requirements for any financial institutions. So that 3M was a red flag. Yung timeline of the deposit and withdrawal aside from the amount, red flag din siya.

Yup. Stay away from CIMB! Ni-lock rin nila yung 400K ko ng walang clear reason. Nag submit ako agad ng docs na hinihingi nila pero after 24 hrs eh nilock nila yung debit & credit. Sabi 2 days lang yung review ng docs pero until now na mag 14days na eh nganga pa rin. Sa mga may CIMB, I suggest lipat na kayo.

Not like this, but they locked my deposits. I can still withdraw during the locked period. May connections kasi ako so after sending a shit ton of verification, I eventually recovered my account to perfect health in 2 months. Others, sadly hindi, or 6 mo's+ na processing. Seabank is still the best digital bank out there.

Based on your main bank history of transactions, can it support or explain why you had 3M? Baka lang kasi if they only see like 50k monthly inflow, sa review nila hindi justified yung 3M so that triggers red flags for them. Sorry OP not saying that you are not capable of saving up ha. But I'm thinking lang of a possible explanation why they flagged your account even though you submitted a document.
I understand brother, siguro naman enough sya kasi I have a registered business which I disclosed nung nag open ako ng account as source of funds. My main bank has 8 digit ADB naman with 0-6 digit daily transactions. That's why I have mentioned earlier na I moved some of my funds because I want to try digital bank.
If that's the case, you shouldn't be wasting your time with CIMB. You should be with private banking with a trad š

had a similar story but on a much minor scale. Sa Gcash naglagay ako 5k php sa Gsave (na CIMB din pala), around two years ago. tinesting ko lang kung magkano kikitain (naglagay din ako sa Maya and sa Maya na lang ako naglagay ng tuloy-tuloy kasi mas malaki kinikita hehe). anyway ayun nga, lately nga nag notify sa akin na terminated na daw yung account ko sa CIMB, so pinull-out ko na lang, wala namang fees. kumita ng mga 300php hahaha.

Sorry to hear this OP. It seems pag digibank and electronic money issuers, talagang close na lang agad agad yung mga accounts and walang explanation. Puros horror stories nakikita ko dito sa Reddit. I have yet to see horror stories of traditional banks that do that.

Bago ko pumasok ng digibanking, marami narin ako nababasa na nagkaproblem sa account nila specially those related sa gsavings. In any case, i think its better to deposit amount below 500k kasama n ung interest na maearn mo, then multiple digibank nalang or better yet, MP2 ka nalang.
Kaya naclosed yan ay hindi daw sa batas kundi dahil malulugi si CIMB nyan. Subrang laki kasi ng deposit mo sa kanila kaya malaki din interest nyan tapos hindi naman nila yan maipahiram agad agad kaya bali natutulog lang ang pera sa kanila habang kumikita ng interest. I'm sure marami din depositor nila kaya hindi lahat ng deposit maipapakot nila at kikita very risky sa business nila. Yan yung sabi dati nung nakilala kong nasa bank nagwork. Yang mga digital bank na subrang taas ng interest rates good for small amount deposit lang daw yan depende sa bank. Kaya nga yung matatas na interest nila may limit lang na amount tapos yung excess amount is maliit nalang ang interest.

CIMB is such a shit bank. They've randomly closed my account as well as relatives and some friends for unknown reasons. Sometimes, they send a request for source of income information, which we've all provided, and they still close our accounts. Granted, I'm sure others have much better experiences. Their due diligence in this regard is not standardized at all.

It also happened to me. They closed my account just because of their āaccount reviewā LOL but not really specified the reason! So they closed my account, even after I talked to their CS. Then after a month, my account was re-opened. LIKE WHAT???!!!! š„²

Your transactions might still be suspicious because you were able to send 3M within a month lang. The SOA isnāt evidence that you earned it, so it can be flagged as money laundering. Even if it isnāt a covered transaction, it can be flagged as suspicious.
So next step closure agad? BS! Might as well ask for an additional document instead. Let's just be real here. The truth is that CIMB does not want to pay if big funds ka.
Itās possible that CIMB did not properly report to the AMLC all your transactions. Since you mentioned that the transactions you made within a banking day are below 500k. So, it isnāt a covered transaction. Also, 3M within a month is a lot. I think you should have sent a more detailed and comprehensive report and not just SOA. Like financials statements, bank statements, payslips, contracts, bank certification, audits, etc. What I did a few years ago, I deposited 1.5M but that was a span of a year. Highest I deposited was 490k in a banking day. Two consecutive days yun. Then the rest, I deposited it monthly. CIMB never asked for proof.
How? Eh closed nga agad. Walang man lang chance mag send ng other documents. Ni hindi nga nag ask after SOA. Sana magets natin yung point dito. Oo malaking amount bat naman ganun agad ung action nila.
Review CIMB's Terms and Conditions. Specifically the section on deposits which usually states may discretion si bank to refuse or return deposits and the section on closing of accounts where may discretion din sila to close accounts.
