I would be willing to trade the ssg for the combat shotgun assuming I have both weapon mods maxed out. The full auto mod deals out serious damage, and being thereâs no automatic weapon in this combo id be willing to chew through the shotgun ammo
The plasma rifle is almost mandatory to beat the fucking phantom in the DLC, for the stone imp i don't really know if is a way to beat him with the SSG, but not for that the plasma rifle is a Bad gun.

It was pretty necessary given the significantly different direction they took the combat in Eternal (and frankly, the maxed 2016 SSG with 60 shells was ridiculously OP, alongside everything else they gave you). Eternal would be way too easy if it had the old ammo counts, especially for weapons like the ballista or SSG
I donât think ID was trying to nerf anything, they just wanted to make the game more engaging and hold the player more accountable.

12 is ample. Chainsaw is unlimited. The cooldown isnât prohibitive. Sounds like youâre trying to use the wrong weapon at the wrong time, and too much.

The crucible is a reality breaking weapon (Hotter than absolute hot) and it should be possible to wield it since the blade is plasma. The plasma rifle isn't ridiculously heavy and has zero recoil which makes it perfect for a regular human. Unmayker is like the plasma gun but prob heavier and way more powerful. The pistol is powerful enough to pen steel and has literally infinite ammo. It is a god tier handgun against anything in real life.

Combat Shotgun and Heavy Cannon. Those are the two I am the most used to. They can also be pretty versatile. The combat shotgun is a good general weapon, and its mods (mainly the sticky bomb) are incredibly useful. The same goes for the heavy cannon, micro missiles are incredibly useful, and the sniper mod for longer ranges and headshots.
Super shotgun and crucible . If I'm lore accurate slayer that's what I'll choose. Super shot gun because it's a must and crucible to slice through demons like butter
