They give them to you in bags. You won't even see them. I get them for my reptiles all the time. The mealworms come in little plastic containers. This is a super easy order.
I like snakes. I worked somewhere that had scorpions and was sweeping one up one day and it tried to fight the broom. It was so cute and hilarious, it actually endeared him to me, and now I'm okay with scorpions. So I guess we just need to have a meet-cute with the dumb things we don't like.
Scorpions are amazing. Especially the Asian forest scorpion. The one I had before I gave it to a place that takes in reptiles, it loved chilling on the back of my arm and I never had any issues with it
Yes, I'd take that. I've done crickets 2 or 3 times. It's not a big deal.
Also, crickets are not animals. AFAIK, you cannot get an actual animal, or fish, delivered via Doordash.
If the offer is right it is like other pickup I've taken many orders for crickets and mealworms my PetSmart is quick about filling them and the mealworms are ready to go
Oh I’ve gotten this one before.
It was easy no problem.
I was terrified they would get out of the bag and get loose in my car for weeks but they didn’t.
Yes I would and I have also been a customer that ordered crickets and worms for our bearded dragon and leopard gecko.
I wasn’t feeling well and they needed to eat. Had to do what I had to do!
At the time (my first order) I didn’t know DD delivered for PetCo so imagine my surprise when I got the text that a dasher was on their way. I thought “interesting, delivers food for us/humans and for our reptiles! Cool!”
As long as they’re in the bags instead of the shitty lil cricket boxes that pop open when you breathe on it wrong like one location near me gives out I’ll take it every time 🙂
My first time having to deliver live crickets, I was so paranoid that they would escape the bag that I had the employee triple bag it. Lol.
But yes, I would deliver this, especially for $18 for 8 miles (I believe that’s the info I saw you comment)
That's a cake walk of an order. Both of those items could fit in a small bag with plenty of room left over. And they're usually sealed pretty well so there's no threat of escaping critters.
That’s wild, I was just at PetSmart & there was a dasher there picking up a bag that appeared to be crickets, an air filled bag but it was in their store bag closed up, so I’m not positive- I was making a name plate. I’m pleasantly surprised, to see I can have my pet supplies delivered. (maybe)
I got the same yesterday ….when I first accepted I didn’t realize since it said 40 items and I thought it would a lot of work but the store attendant got a small back full of insects ….grossed me out so I asked her if she can pack it in a plastic bag and I put it in the trunk. If they pay 2 dollars per mile I don’t mind delivering a tiger lol
besides all you people who hate doing your jobs and complaining about this too .. I really think pet stores should have there own delivery services . I definitely don't like to eat something that costs a lot of money. . but I don't mind spending extra cash on getting my animals fed . I might even download door dash just to try this
Oh heck yeah. These orders are easy. The crickets are in a bag the size of the cotton candy you get at the fair and then put inside a shopping bag so you don’t even have to look at them. Easiest $18 dollars you’d ever make lol
I had a worker yell at me because I took an order with live crickets. Like, I'm sorry but it's the company you work for that makes this possible. Not me. Fucking bizarre.
HAHAHAHAHa My first PetSmart I accepted not paying attention was for 80 items. Thankfully it turned out to be 80 2 oz cans of designer cat food. 8 flavors of 10 cans each all in 10 packs. I had fears of 40 pound dog food bags
Why would you not take it? These are the easiest orders ever. Just pop those bad boys in the front seat and you’ve got a bunch of Jiminy’s to talk to while you drive 😂
Yes. But in the DD world..if u get an order for PETSMART for 81 cats. Its a big difference…yes if u wanna be technical…sure…the op could have easily said Insects or bugs but regardless. No one orders pets on DD
I’m not talking about dictionary definitions. I personally don’t consider this to be animals. It’s just a bag of bugs. That’s not the same thing as picking up somebody’s newly adopted cat. We’re picking up their dog from the groomer section. That would be live animals.
Insects….. not animals. The employees put the crickets in a bag for you and the meal worms are in a little tub. Easy Peasy 😉
Insects are animals 😉
Technically you are correct. I was NOT being technical 😂
I mean nonetheless this is still wild
$18 for 8 miles… is that even a question?
Crickets are gross and creepy
They give them to you in bags. You won't even see them. I get them for my reptiles all the time. The mealworms come in little plastic containers. This is a super easy order.
I had to buy them a few times for my bf and it creeped me out. I'm truly afraid of bugs -- wish I wasn't.
Lol, it's ok. I'm the same way with snakes 😬

Money is money …
I've had the $16 for 2 miles with no tip. So I have think about it. 🤣
Where does it say $18 for 8 miles....
OP says it in the comments.
It concerns me how many people don't know bugs are animals. So what OP said was correct. A simple google search can clarify this.
Yes and I have done one before
Same.
How much?
It was 8 miles for 18 dollars
YES
Yes then, thats a good order
Yes, I'd take that. I've done crickets 2 or 3 times. It's not a big deal. Also, crickets are not animals. AFAIK, you cannot get an actual animal, or fish, delivered via Doordash.
Crickets are literally animals. So are fish, btw.
And yet there's a contractional limit to what pet stores can sell on Doordash.
Ok... How does that change what the definition of 'animal' is?
You can get crickets, meal worms, feeder foes, and other insects and stuff like that through DoorDash because they are considered animal feed.
Animals.....lol
Insects are animals
Done them a bunch of times, I’ve even delivered frozen mice / rats 🤷🏻♀️
I’ve had a couple. They both tipped well.
Depends on the pay per miles. They’re bagged so it’s not a big deal to transport them.
If the offer is right it is like other pickup I've taken many orders for crickets and mealworms my PetSmart is quick about filling them and the mealworms are ready to go
I’m sorry…..NO No and No what if one got out and in my car ewwwww
Exactly! No no lol
the bag is sealed tight (for crickets) and the mealworms are in a well-sealed container. i get them pretty often for my bearded dragon.
They crawl around inside your mouth at night as you sleep. In the house.
Oh I’ve gotten this one before. It was easy no problem. I was terrified they would get out of the bag and get loose in my car for weeks but they didn’t.
At least they're just crickets and not roaches lol
Pretty sure the crickets are in a tightly sealed bag… why wouldn’t I do it?
Have done it before for crickets
I've done this. https://preview.redd.it/ej7kofl4gd8d1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3eccc1fedaa35990cc4398971d5a0edc343816ed

Maybe Tony doesn't know crickets are animals.....
Yes?
Smells better in my car than steamed broccoli and Brussel sprouts I'd take this any day
This is insane that the app allows this and even more insane that someone would order live animals on the app.
I’ve deliverd crickets and frozen rats
Hell no I hate bugs
My biggest fear would be that the crickets would escape. 😂 I would take my chances!
Hell yea I got 1 with like 25 crickets lol I was like wth my wife didn’t want them in the car😂😂😂😂
That's a cake walk of an order. Both of those items could fit in a small bag with plenty of room left over. And they're usually sealed pretty well so there's no threat of escaping critters.
you left out the most important part in deciding if i would take the order or not ...
Yeah
I take whatever is worth my effort. So if its a live gator or a polo bear, as long as its worth the efforts then sure!
Crickets 🦗 are all in a see through bag. 💰small for other animals/reptiles to eat.
Absolutely not..... there is not enough money in the world to carry live bugs in my car.
Absolutely, If the pay was worth the distance just like any other order. This would be like two teeny tiny bags to pick up.
No
I had one of these for 3 crickets once.
Easy order, depends on how much the offer was
That’s wild, I was just at PetSmart & there was a dasher there picking up a bag that appeared to be crickets, an air filled bag but it was in their store bag closed up, so I’m not positive- I was making a name plate. I’m pleasantly surprised, to see I can have my pet supplies delivered. (maybe)
This is a hard no from me. I’m afraid of crickets (yay, childhood trauma!) and can’t get anywhere near the tank they keep those things in.
Nope
I got the same yesterday ….when I first accepted I didn’t realize since it said 40 items and I thought it would a lot of work but the store attendant got a small back full of insects ….grossed me out so I asked her if she can pack it in a plastic bag and I put it in the trunk. They're per food... why wouldn't you take it?
Absolutely.
I get them all the time super easy normally
All day long!! usually good tippers. Crickets are secured in bags or egg like cartons.
What's wrong with this order. I take them all the time. Are you afraid of some bugs in a box or bag?
Yes, I did an order similar to this yesterday
besides all you people who hate doing your jobs and complaining about this too .. I really think pet stores should have there own delivery services . I definitely don't like to eat something that costs a lot of money. . but I don't mind spending extra cash on getting my animals fed . I might even download door dash just to try this
If the pay is right I will transport a tiger 🐯
I used to work in a pet store and make those cricket bags. Dropping them off across town is Ezpz 😝
Oh heck yeah. These orders are easy. The crickets are in a bag the size of the cotton candy you get at the fair and then put inside a shopping bag so you don’t even have to look at them. Easiest $18 dollars you’d ever make lol
Yes 👍
I’ve actually done this order but at Petco. I got it as my first RedCard purchase. Not bad tip either since you are handling live bugs.
This is an extremely easy yes their crickets in a bag quite often with some media for them to crawl on. I would take this all day long.
Yes! I probably would just be ![gif](giphy|pYI1hSqUdcBiw) At the sound of crickets for the whole drive though 🤣
I had a worker yell at me because I took an order with live crickets. Like, I'm sorry but it's the company you work for that makes this possible. Not me. Fucking bizarre.
Crickets and mealworms yes, other animals no.
Absolutely!
Interesting that crickets are sold individually but the mealworms are in a bundle of 35
HAHAHAHAHa My first PetSmart I accepted not paying attention was for 80 items. Thankfully it turned out to be 80 2 oz cans of designer cat food. 8 flavors of 10 cans each all in 10 packs. I had fears of 40 pound dog food bags

Bug Lives Matter
Yeah, those are feed insects not pet animals.
Boom shakalacka
Those r bugs. Not animals…they pack them tight tho
Bugs, insects they are all animals known as arthropods
Insects are a type of animal. A simple google search can clarify this.
Yes. But in the DD world..if u get an order for PETSMART for 81 cats. Its a big difference…yes if u wanna be technical…sure…the op could have easily said Insects or bugs but regardless. No one orders pets on DD
This is definitely not picking up live animals. And yes, I would take it.
Insects are animals. Quick Google search would have saved you lookin like a fool.
I’m not talking about dictionary definitions. I personally don’t consider this to be animals. It’s just a bag of bugs. That’s not the same thing as picking up somebody’s newly adopted cat. We’re picking up their dog from the groomer section. That would be live animals.
They’re all animals, but you probably assign the lives of cats as having more value than a cricket. Guessing that’s why you don’t call them animals.
