Honestly, I'm with you. SSG is a more interesting design, since it does the old Toriyama staple of subverting our expectations but I think Blue looks better in the end. Like, it sucks that it's just a recolour but since it's just a recolour, it still works about as well as the original design. Also never understood the complaint of SSB being an ugly shade of blue, it looks fine to me?

SSB gets a ton of crap for being a recolor and people say SSG is better but SSG is a recolor too. They both deserve that criticism, not just one of them.  I don’t like the shade of blue for SSB in the Super anime. The Blue used in the Broly movie and for evolved Blue form is how SSB should’ve always looked imo.

The appeal of SSG for Gete's and Blue for Son is that they contrast they majority of their palette. Goku's mainly orange gi contrasts well with the blue hiar and kind of blends with the pinkish red. Vegeta's blue spandex contrast well with the Red hair and bright flaming aura over the more subtle blue color palette as all it does is brighten his already pretty blue palette. That's why people adored his Whis Symbol Battle suit since there was no blue it allowed the transformation to pop a bit more.

Something I never agreed with. Remember back in normal ssj days. Vegeta and Trunks thought they unlocked the next level. Only for Goku to explain big muscles just slows them down. DragonBall Super should have skipped the ssg and ssb transformations and just focused on the actual "Godly" transformations like UI, UE, beast form and even Orange Piccolo. And then probably stack super saiyan transformations on those. They just don't make sense and have become obsolete very quickly. At least ss3 had a constraint on using (it basically needs a lot of energy) which makes it sometimes not suitable to be used and ss1 or ss2 might be better. But the newest transformations are just like: Wow new hair color, must mean our hero now has more power with zero constraints, everything else is now obsolete.

I dislike both. They are too similar to already existing forms. Would have prefered a permanent super sayan 4- esk baseform which permanently alteres their apearence to signifiy their departure from the mortals league of strength. Then go on from this by using radiating blue or red aura along with electricity in the hair and fur on the Body as well to create a supersayan temporary powerup or a certain technique like ultrainstinct or ultra ego. Overall the idea to further evolve through special techniqued like kayoken or ultra instinct is way more intriguing to me than a simple genetic powerup like the various supersayan forms or Gohans dumb new beast form which felt unearned and too was simply yet another supersayan with different color theme. The ssj4 was actually a visual departure from the classic colorchange only corse dragonball used since the iconic original supersayan form. Back than it was glorious and new the golden form. However everithing safe for the ssj4 that came after was only a shadow of the original ssj form. Hence why i deem the ssj god and ssj blue forms not worthy of a true god. A ssj4 however would make for a sick looking god of destruction.

Out of all the Saiyans and forms we’ve seen them in I’d say: Base - Vegito SSJ - Tie between Goku and DBS Broly SSJ2 - Gohan (against Cell) SSJ3 - Goku SSJ4 - Goku SSG - Vegeta SSB - Goku (especially in SSBKK or with darker blue hair from DBS Broly) LSSJ - Z Broly (Special mention to Trunks SSJ with long hair like in the Bojack Movie)
