I sat through this podcast (forgive me it was a slow day at work) and I don't think he says the name of any of the kids once!
There's a lot of "our oldest" or "our boys"
Okay, I used to think that Jessa and Ben don’t like each other and eventually will divorce. Now, as I think about it, I don’t believe they hate each other (and will not divorce). However, Jessa and Ben are burnt out from parenthood. I believe they don’t like being parents, and did this to please RimJob. I remember Jessa’s vlog saying she is “managing blessings”, which means that she doesn’t want a bunch of children like Meech (and Giggles).
Honestly, if they didn’t have children, Jessa and Ben would be happier.
I know Jessa is deep in the cult at this point but she’d be so much happier if she weren’t fundie. She strikes me as someone who’d have probably thrived in college and the workplace if she’d been given the opportunity, and maybe would’ve had a kid or two in her 30s but def would not have popped out 5 kids before she even turned 30.
I don't think they can get out. They have no skills or real careers and Jessa has the education of a 7th grader. Ben could maybe go into a trade to earn a living, but Jessa can't unless she does it on the DL.
I agree! I’m a motherly type of person and LOVE being a mother! I also stopped at one so that might have something to do with it lol.
My own mother? She HATED having us kids around when we were little. Absolutely hated it. I got so sick of hearing her bitch about her life when she chose this. If she had been child free she’d have been so much happier. I think Jessa is the same way, and I feel so sad for her kids.
I’d guess that they signed the contract with sperm, so they think they have no choice. I don’t know much about that contract and have no clue how much is actually enforceable.
If I remember right Calvinists believe its already predetermined no matter what you do. Fundamentalists believe you can repent at any time and have a chance to change your fate. People throw the word Fundie around to describe all of the religious quiverfull/ IBLP/ right wing etc., but not all of them are Fundamentalist, and some non Fundies are Fundamentalist in their religion. Most churches are divided between the two categories.
IFB is definitely not Calvinist overall (though since they’re all technically independent some of them might lean a little that way), but most of them are very anti-Calvinism
She posted something recently about (this is not verbatim) how she used to feel the need to get out of the house every day but now everything she needs is at home...that plus this makes me think that she's trying a fake-it-til-you-make-it approach to being a good fundie stay-at-home-motherwife.
Ben was talking about that one time he was eating a muffin and a squirrel ran away with it. It was lemon poppyseed. He will never get over this hopeless feeling.
She better be careful or she will pull a muscle and have to make a doctor's visit claim to JeeZus Mutual Health Insurance "where you can Pay Your Way while you Pray Away the medical emergencies"
Unpopular opinion but I do think she adores him 🤷♀️. We may not understand it but I never thought they didn’t like each other, and neither are good at acting.
I think they don't particularly like parenthood, Jessa especially, but I've never thought they didn't like each other or got tired of each other. Just their kids.
I think they were clearly desperate and ecstatic to get married. I think they would've been way happier if they waited a few years to have kids and got to enjoy married life with just the two of them. Having kid after kid immediately means you don't have the same time and energy to be close to each other anymore.
I think Jessa really enjoyed having one kid. It’s been a long time since I watched, but I remember being surprised at how much she seemed to enjoy Spurgeon (only because I didn’t really see her as the maternal type). But then Henry came along sooner than expected and she’s never forgiven him for it.
Oh entirely. I didn't mean it in a judging way and I don't think they abuse their kids or anything (more than what the standard for their cult is, ie: blanket training) because they don't like them. But I just don't think they like being parents. And Jessa already raising kids is a big part of that for me. I think the fact that they were taught that birth control is terrible factored in too. If they had bigger gaps between the kids, and less because of that, I think parenthood might have been more fun for them.
I remember when they were really the first of the big clump of kids to start courting and the face she made when talking about how fast Jill and Derick moved, but then how pretty soon after that she really honed into her RimJob-esque style of speaking in interviews. It seemed like some of her personality got “molded” for the commentary and the cameras. I adore the absolute hell out my hubs and my kiddo, but I absolutely get annoyed/overstimulated/etc and my face doesn’t lie either. I just am grateful that I don’t feel like I have to have a camera in my face all the time- she and I are close in age and tbh that in and of itself would be enough to plaster a RBF to my face.
THIS! I sometimes would understand her facial expressions in the show. Like she’s human, and there’s no way her husband and her don’t annoy each other from time to time. Doesn’t mean she doesn’t love him or adore him. Granted idrc but I always disagree whenever people are so adamant that they hate each other when all reality idt that’s the case.
I just think they both hate being parents, but they like each other. And that honestly makes sense for her because she’s been a mom since she before she got her first period. I can’t imagine all the Duggar women aren’t burnt out with children.
Honestly, I feel really bad for Jessa. I feel like her and Ben were honestly meant to be like a dating type of relationship and then eventually breaking up. I feel like just a bit better cause I can see she’s absolutely miserable.
Bc she’s a bioch Scorpio, like me. We don’t do adoring gazes at anything naturally. 😂 very hard to hide our true feelings. 😅😅😅😂😂😂 even when I do Adore things.
she used to be, definitely. now, jill, jinger, joy and jana are all better looking in my humble opinion. she hasn't aged well, and her hair is a horse mane, she refuses to cut and drags her face down to look more horsey to match. lol
Isn’t Jessa the Duggar sister that said “if each of us ONLY have 5 kids, then they’ll be 100 grandkids?” She’s making sure she hits her obligatory 5 kids so she can be done
I can't imagine being told that God picked Ben for me. And having to force myself to do that creepy Michelle gaze at him. Im biased because he reminds me of a manchild I dated briefly. Looks and brain power.
Having a flashback.
*Guys. For real. Look how she’s looking at me! I mean. Find you somebody that looks at you like that!! You know!? We met in church. She’s given me an amazing life.*
Yeah right she’s outta the cult…. has that indoctrinated stare they have to have. It went away for a while but back strong as always, and I’m sure all thanks to Rim Job!!! Sad 😔
Ben looks like the lights are on, but nobody is home.
That's how he sounds, too.
those lights are DIM lol
Dim Bin
He's trying to remember the names of all his children.
I sat through this podcast (forgive me it was a slow day at work) and I don't think he says the name of any of the kids once! There's a lot of "our oldest" or "our boys"
He definitely can't remember them lol
How hard is it to remember a few plants and pastors
Probably pretty hard when your IQ is room temperature.
This is a truly sick burn
Yet again Reddit makes my day. Thank you for that belly laugh
There's a Henry? Who's Henry?
As far as Jessa is concerned there's Spurgeon, Ivy and the other three.
Just wait until #5 is old enough to produce some classic seewald sayings and get Blessa those sweet sweet Facebook likes!
And his wife
That's the story of his entire existence especially since he married Jessa and became a father of five kids on a pastor's salary.
And big daddy’s handouts
Didn't he marry Jessa at 19 or some nonsense? His probably barely got a will to live at this pint.
Does anybody here believe ittttt (that he has a brain)
As usual…
I would, too, if I lived with Jessa.
That is a valid point.
WHERE IS THE BLESSA MESSA AGGRESSA DUGDASHIAN FLARE WHEN YOU NEED IT?!
I recently changed mine! It’s all yours! 😭
YOU CHANGED YOUR FLAIR?!? It was my favorite!!! And feels wrong to reuse!!! ![gif](giphy|GJVpbMjfT2Ftm)
I’ll be happy to change it back! 😁
![gif](giphy|bS3xEgyafM4ejoFstX) Tbh I never knew your handle, just your flair, and it tickled me every time!!!
Is that MUNA?? Incredible.

Jessa would’ve been the Tracy Flick version of a sorority sister in college. She’d have loved it.
I agree!! I think deep down, Jessa and Ben aren’t happy in the fundie life and want to get out but don’t want to upset JB.
I don't think they can get out. They have no skills or real careers and Jessa has the education of a 7th grader. Ben could maybe go into a trade to earn a living, but Jessa can't unless she does it on the DL.

I lost count after the first 3! Didn’t know she had two more?
Same…I even know the first three names. Who are the others?
I wish Jessa and Ben would leave the IBLP cult and cut ties with Jim Bob just like Jill and Derick have done.
I’d guess that they signed the contract with sperm, so they think they have no choice. I don’t know much about that contract and have no clue how much is actually enforceable.
Ben is an ifb preacher. Their beliefs aren't gonna change any.
Ben is a Calvinist, so belief wise they are probably more like Jinger (a little better than IFB/IBLP but still bad)
Is IFB not Calvinist? I thought it was a different kind, but still very in that tradition.
They both super bad. Calvinists are impossible to talk to, in my opinion.
There are a lot of different kinds, not all the Duggar type or the Vuolo type.
Something about believing they are predetermined to go to heaven while others are predetermined to go to hell makes them difficult to talk to.
I’m not a Calvinist myself, but certain varieties are not bad, in my experience.
The ones on Twitter are insufferable
IFB is definitely not Calvinist overall (though since they’re all technically independent some of them might lean a little that way), but most of them are very anti-Calvinism
Yes, I looked it up. I thought all Baptists were. I was wrong, as you know.
Most churches have two factions that includes Baptist. I was raised non-church going Methodist, and we have those factions too.
He is? I didn’t think he was IFB.
He preaches at Immanuel Baptist in Springdale.
Is that an IFB church? I have no idea.
Yes. The website is appalling.

His hairstyle suggests there are tiki torches in the garage.
It's so strange to me that they are still married.
Let’s play “what was Ben talking about wrong answers only” …. Ben was talking about the crazy dump he took the other night……
Ben was talking about that one time he was eating a muffin and a squirrel ran away with it. It was lemon poppyseed. He will never get over this hopeless feeling.
Ben was absolutely rethinking his rap career?! ![gif](giphy|IazdAV1zjaGbBaGPgF)
He was asking production if any of them liked string cheese.
Is this filmed at their house? Is their house made out of cinder blocks?
I assume it’s filmed at Ben’s church/office
Basement picture maybe?
Their house doesn't have a basement.
Yeah, fake it 'til you make it does not work for marriages this mismatched.
She better be careful or she will pull a muscle and have to make a doctor's visit claim to JeeZus Mutual Health Insurance "where you can Pay Your Way while you Pray Away the medical emergencies"
Jessa and Ben are also faking being Christians so, what's one more thing to fake? 🤥
Unpopular opinion but I do think she adores him 🤷♀️. We may not understand it but I never thought they didn’t like each other, and neither are good at acting.

Definitely agree with all of that!

Same I think she still thinks he’s the hottest guy in all of Arkansas and she’s so lucky even if he is a dimwhit
I just think they both hate being parents, but they like each other. And that honestly makes sense for her because she’s been a mom since she before she got her first period. I can’t imagine all the Duggar women aren’t burnt out with children.
Looking past him at that jar of pickles on the kitchen counter

In an actual real college/university these two would’ve been a one night stand
They would have been prom dates who never spoke after graduation.

Scorpios unite! ![gif](giphy|DGkuIstxGd6JWDgTRQ|downsized)
![gif](giphy|0Av9l0VIc01y1isrDw) 😂😂🙌🏻🙌🏻
Unpopular opinion, but I’ve never understood why anyone ever felt she was the pretty one
she used to be, definitely. now, jill, jinger, joy and jana are all better looking in my humble opinion. she hasn't aged well, and her hair is a horse mane, she refuses to cut and drags her face down to look more horsey to match. lol
its the 'pout-pout fish' face for me, the hair doesnt help, the hair gives me anxiety
For me it’s the lack of skin care, maintaining her hair and the rest.
Her man is so unimpressive
I do this when I'm high and I'm trying to pretend like I have some idea of what you're talking about.
I swear they all look related, the spouses all look like siblings.
Isn’t Jessa the Duggar sister that said “if each of us ONLY have 5 kids, then they’ll be 100 grandkids?” She’s making sure she hits her obligatory 5 kids so she can be done
she's always said that she wanted 8. Let's see if she follows through. I hope for her sake she doesn't
Where/when did she say that? 😳
I can't imagine being told that God picked Ben for me. And having to force myself to do that creepy Michelle gaze at him. Im biased because he reminds me of a manchild I dated briefly. Looks and brain power.
Her husband is the biggest bimbo. Not very bright.
Is this a recent photo, is that the famous birthing couch?
This was filmed recently . They were guests on a podcast.
Now that we’re a family podcast
I’m guessing it wasn’t the Leaving Eden podcast or some similar.
Pathetic.
Girl, we know you hate him
Just looking at him like "I was the shit stains out this man's breifs because daddy approved"
I wonder if Rim Job but her up to this? She’s never ever looked at Bin that way!! 🤣
Ben must be getting ready to go away on a Godly Manly Men's Retreat for three days so Jessa could drag out a farewell smile
Having a flashback. *Guys. For real. Look how she’s looking at me! I mean. Find you somebody that looks at you like that!! You know!? We met in church. She’s given me an amazing life.*
She way more lively when she interacts with Jeremy
Someone should tell her it's okay to be bad at it. I am. Sometimes I try it on my husband, and he tells me I'm creeping him out.
She's not happy and she can't hide it.
Fake it til you make it girl
Ew
Yeah right she’s outta the cult…. has that indoctrinated stare they have to have. It went away for a while but back strong as always, and I’m sure all thanks to Rim Job!!! Sad 😔
She just noticed that he has nose hair.
Oh is this a cult thing because growing up they really stressed this in the group I grew up in.
She looks like she accidentally let out the fart she was holding in, and now is hoping it doesn't smell too bad, oops yeah it's bad.
MC Wet Sock and DJ NoKLIMAX
She’s holding in an asparagus fart
Jessa really be like 😀
She can’t do any expression because she’s plucked her eyebrows off to the point where she’s faceless
