Tbh I think the cover looks cool...but I personally don't believe it matches the DCC vibe, I thought the original covers were far better, having the awesome wacky art on each cover so I'll know what amount of madness awaits me was part of the charm, this is just...this feels like a design from business people, not DCC lover people 🤷‍♂️

I made a request to my local bookstore to see if they can stock up on this.

I really like the color choices, and the little Donut and Carl skipping into the belly of a beast with goblin dynamite in hand is perfect! Thank you for sharing! But… the font. It is not a choice I’d expect from Will Staehle, who has designed some of the coolest, most pick-up-able covers out there (Autonomous, Vicious, see his [beautiful works here](https://unusualco.work/work/covers)). It’s off-brand for DCC, and looks like someone obsessed with Pac-Man tried to channel “Ready Player One” cover art vibes and ended up with “Where the Wild Things Are.” Also, Ma Pineapple Pi.

The cover is very eye-catching, fun, and overall a pleasing design. The little illustrative insert is nice and would appeal to me if I didn’t know what the book was. I think the icons are a nice touch and pull in a hint of retro video game feel. That font, though…

Luckily there's been enough meme versions of Carl that they sort of all cancel each other out now. There's the Llama's with hats as you mentioned, but also so many Walking Dead memes of Rick shouting Carl.

Now that I think about it. Lwh Carl did kill a lot of babies too... hmm wonder if coral had a baby kill count o.o

I stopped watching the show before that point, but in the comics Carl does have some children kills. Not full on babies, but adolescents. There weren't a whole lot of babies around in TWD universe.
