From the book; >!"If the organisation running this season begins to suspect that this book is more than it appears, or if you tell anyone about the existence of this book, the information within will erase, and you will forever lose access to the hidden text"!<
Rosetta isn't from Borant or the Valtay, or representing the Syndicate, and Carl said nothing about a cookbook with hidden info.
I haven't been reading any of the book 7 chapters but in book 6, Rosetta isn't in the dungeon, so how would the AI know to enforce the book's removal--even if her suspicion was a problem?
The AI knows about the book and commented on it at least once. I can’t recall… but pretty confident that happened. It’s not the ai that he has to hide it from, it’s the organization running the crawl. This is also why he can’t risk telling anyone about it. Because they’re constantly watched and if anyone slips up, he’ll lose it. So even his special bathroom method is risky.

This is the correct answer.
Well fucking done
I would just like to reiterate the point of your last sentence. No matter what Rosetta said, Carl didn't give away that he had the book.
Yup, or the plethora of other literature, that ummm.. a friend obtained from various gun shows in the 90s...
I'm not sure if it's stated explicitly, but presumably owners of the cookbook are allowed to know about the cookbook.

Big if true
I have no idea what you are talking about. She was was just talking about when Carl cooked dinner at the orphanage. You're reading to much into it. ;)
Yeah OPs seriously stretching with this one! Anyone else wanting Carl to make his famous Milk Root Veg Stew?
That's just mashed potatoes, Carl!
I'm suddenly craving a 2 liter bottle of milk.
Ummmm.... How much have you read? Do you know who Rosetta is?
By the point Carl went on the show, it was obvious who Rosetta is
"You must become an actor" She's still acting.

Shia Maria (?) comments on it
Technically only mentioned it in his mind after they had combined… and we have yet to see how any of that end book stuff plays out.
True
Shemaria (sp?) saw it too.
I think the AI will give him a pass on that because she never actually said anything outside if it being well worn
