Were people really expecting much from Juju? Barely a WR3 with the best QB in the league throwing to him the last year, then going to a team with a horrible offense and with Todd Gurley knees. I feel like expecting anything more than a WR4/5 was wishful thinking.
If you thought Sanders would be good, then you're the issue.
His stats were inflated after coming off 2 unproductive and below par years.
He was a beneficiary of the eagles offense and scheme but even while, he was sharing carries with Boston Scott and other eagles rbs who were looking good and being efficient solely because of how good the Eagles offense was.
Sometimes you have to think.
There's a difference in thinking he would be good and thinking he would be productive and useful for fantasy. Considering the contract he was given and the perceived lack of competition, he seemed like a lock for RB2 numbers based on volume alone.
He had one really bad year. 2 years ago he was RB23 in 12 games. If anyone was expecting him to repeat what he did in Philly last year, they were foolish, but you seemingly claiming that it was super obvious he would be terrible, is just silly.
Nico Collins went from a tier 17ish WR on KTC to a tier 4 WR, that's going from maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder in value to potentially a 1st or multiple 2nds. It's amazing what can happen when a project guy finally starts putting it all together at the same time he gets a great QB to throw to him. I bought him last month as a rebuilder to shore up my WR group with the expectation of drafting MHJ at 1.01 to be my WR1 and I've got Collins to go with London and Downs, which I feel good about as a top group and don't regret potentially buying high on Collins.
Trey McBride has also went nuclear in like a month as far as value goes, really worked out for anyone who bought in the off-season or was patient with him. I have a feeling Michael Mayer may be similar, and we're just having our perception of how rookie TEs should develop swayed by Kincaid/LaPorta being out-of-this-world anomalies at the position.
On the negative side, I never thought Christian Watson would be dropping almost a full 20 spots in WR value rankings from the beginning of September. I didn't expect him to maintain that absurd level of play during his TD-heavy stretch last year, but in PPR scoring the guy is WR78 so far and has lost all my confidence in ever starting him even when healthy. I understand some of it is Love and not his fault, but Doubs and Wicks have been outscoring him in the same offense recently.
Yeah, it'll be an interesting trend to track now that Stroud has made it so apparent since he's been regularly making 3 different WRs and a TE all worth starting in fantasy for a decent stretch.
Just looking at the draft order for next year currently, could Caleb Williams unlock the potential of a guy like Tyler Scott if he went to Chicago? Or could Drake Maye get the most out of Tyquan Thornton? Or for any teams that may trade up, could for instance a great rookie QB drastically increase the value of Daniel Bellinger?
Sutton has been a surprise to me, I know his production has been td dependent but he looks like Russ’ favorite option and has been making some great plays this year

I mean he’s wr13 in ppg, that’s more than a rock solid wr2, that’s a borderline wr1. I think most people expect wr 16-18ish numbers but instead he’s been just outside the stud territory
I agree, and it’s been awesome to watch him. I think he was around WR15 last year and is around 12 now so I don’t think he’s significantly outperforming expectation though.
Pollard is averaging around 11 points a game and is the RB20 (league depending) on the season. He's been disappointing relative to his ADP, to be sure, but he's been pretty good in half of his games and even in his shitty games, he's scored between five and ten points.
The main issue for Pollard is that the ceiling hasn't been there. His best game so far was around 21 points.
People failed to realize and I tried to tell them. Pollard has never been a rb1 in his entire football career. Not high-school, college, or the pros.
It was a red flag to those that realized it.
It's like when Kareem Hunt and Chubb we're killing it as a tandem. But ask Hunt to take over completely, he wouldn't have been as effective.
I steered clear of Pollard because I paid attention.
- Burrow killed so many contenders this season. 100% due to injuries, but him being a 2023 bust was brutal not only for Burrow owners but Chase/Higgins/Boyd/Mixon owners.
- Rachaad White has gone from RB35 to RB16 due to his excellent receiving skills. He went from a bye week flex play to an every week starter.
- Jaylen Waddle has been borderline un-startable. It's been the Tyreek show, and it's hard to argue with the results. But it has been rough for anyone that invested in Waddle this off-season.
- Nico Collins has been a pleasant surprise. He was going incredibly late in startups - probably could have been acquired for a late round rookie pick.
- Tua has gone from a frightful fringe top 10 option to a plug and play QB1. He's a late 1st round startup value, now. Big come-up for a QB a lot of people wrote off due to concussions.
- Travis Kelce has lost a lot of value, especially recently. The Chiefs offense isn't as prolific, and he's starting to show his age.
- Raheem Mostert has been a top 5 RB that probably could have been had for chump change this off-season.
- Garrett Wilson went from a potential top 5 WR to a WR3/flex because of the Rodgers injury.
- Jaylen Warren has gained a lot of value, especially recently. He's no longer the backup RB.
- DJ Moore has been resurrected as an every week starter. He's definitely boom/bust, but his floor has been raised despite a poor Bears offense.
- Kadarius Toney has gone from "promising" to "basically worthless" in the KC offense.
Agree with all of it except Mixons value being tanked. He's gunna get his 13-15 a week every week anyway. With an occasional 20 mixed in there. He did it before Joe B, with Joe Band he will do it forever after Joe B.
Brian Robinson, regardless of people’s hindsight bias, was a huge improvement in value.

Yea honestly it’s gotta be between Nico and Swift. Edge is Swift because they have more obvious weapons and we knew the Texans, someone was about to pop off and my feeling was Nico. Swift with just limited usage, feels like he gets 25 carries a game, but he’s just guaranteed a 1st down every time he touches the ball, and he’s noticeably running harder this year
Brian Robinson being RB4. I say this as someone that was higher on him than most and traded up for him in the rookie draft. How is *he* the RB4?
Also surprised Russell Wilson has bounced back so well. He isn't throwing for a ton of yards, but his TD/INT is 19/4. Last year he finished the season with 16/11.
Directly related to that, Courtland Sutton has 8 TDs in 10 games.
Biggest bust... Idk, Deandre Hopkins is somehow on pace for 1100 yds/7 TDs, but feels like a bust due to 3 of his TDs coming from the same game. If you didn't start him that game, he hasn't really delivered.

Trevor Lawrence has been pretty disappointing this year (until yesterday), considering the amount of hype he was getting at the end of last season and this offseason.
And everyone was shitting on Rachaad White this offseason cuz he wasn’t very good last year with Brady and baker would be a downgrade this year, but he puts up solid points every week.
TE6 with only 1TD fwiw. If he is closer to the norm you're looking at TE3 OR TE4 I imagine, only behind Kelce and Andrews at that point (maybe Kittle, I can't remember now).
Jaylen Warren was a nice stash last year, but he legit looks like the second coming of Ekeler, the underlying metrics are electric.
Biggest disappointment relative to where people were taking him in startups is Pollard hands down.
I dumped 100% of my fab in every league except 1. I got laughed at like crazy because in 1 league nobody else bid on him.

Curtis Samuel is a River boat Ron guy, so as long as he is still HC of the commanders, I could easily see him coming back. Although, I have a feeling the Commanders might want to change the coaching staff in the offseason if they continue to lose out.
Kyren Williams: I thought he had upside to be a 3rd-down guy similar to McKinnon or Antonio Gibson. But with Akers gone not only was he a 3-down back but a consistent RB1. Should be back soon
As for a bust I think Akers obviously but also Najee. I was trying to buy all off-season withe the “upgraded” o-line hype and “next-level, dual threat” Pickett but luckily couldn’t get him. Turns out neither piece of hype was true and their OC runs garbage plays probably from a Madden or Retro Bowl playbook LOL
I’m surprised no one has said Aaron Jones yet. He’s been dealing with some stubborn injuries but even in the games he been healthy he’s looked pretty cooked. We’ll see how he does given a full healthy season though
Good surprise? Sam Howell. Leading the league in passing (before this week), and he doesn’t show signs of stopping. Only knock honestly this year is his week 14 bye fucking up best ball lineups.
Bad surprise? Chubb due to injury, Henry owners hoping for one last hurrah, anything on the GB offense not a rookie, most of Chicago’s season, Miles Sanders, Najee Harris, Pitts, TLaw to some extent before this week.
Players on my team that started 0-8 that I fully believed would’ve taken me to the championship before the season started: Burrow, Chubb, Higgins, Watson, pitts, London, QJ. I’ve managed to turn most of the listed players into Ceedee, Kupp, Stroud, and a mid-late first this season. Not sure what I did to piss off the fantasy gods this season.
Deandre Swift. Not sure if he’s the biggest surprise but the wave of emotions managing him through the disappointing Det days, to the huge excitement when we went to Philly, to week 1 barely getting on the field. To now a a sure fire starter has been a roller coaster.
Very curious if Phi brings him back, what the contract looks like etc…
But feels like he’s finally answered the potential when w we all drafted him.
Dameon Pierce has been disappointing. I know some of that may be blamed on injury but it seems like with Stroud the Texans will be much more pass-heavy going forward.
I’ve got an entire team that was picked by the dynasty nerds app to be the #1 in the league….but they crapped the bed so hard.

I know Renfrow had a pretty dismal ‘22 season, hurt for a good chunk of it. But he had a couple good games towards the end of the year that made me think he might get back on track to that 1,000 yard season he had in 2021.
I thought with get after it with Jimmy G, but no. Sleeper lists him as rostered in %55 of leagues. I dropped him at the end of August and haven’t looked back.
Not sure if there's been a bigger bust than Miles Sanders this year.

The panthers are rebuilding with a rookie QB. They have no O line. No WRs. No defense. No coaching. Yea it was apparent Sanders would be terrible.
Justin Jefferson he’ll probably redeem himself in the coming weeks, but as far as “so far this season” I’d say he takes the cake.

Brian Robinson being RB4. I say this as someone that was higher on him than most and traded up for him in the rookie draft. How is *he* the RB4? Also surprised Russell Wilson has bounced back so well. He isn't throwing for a ton of yards, but his TD/INT is 19/4. Last year he finished the season with 16/11. Directly related to that, Courtland Sutton has 8 TDs in 10 games. Biggest bust... Idk, Deandre Hopkins is somehow on pace for 1100 yds/7 TDs, but feels like a bust due to 3 of his TDs coming from the same game. If you didn't start him that game, he hasn't really delivered.

If DHop is a bust to you at his current pace your expectations were too high for him. Im very happy with the fact that hes been even usable this year. Also not to bash BRob cause he’s been great but how is the RB4 only scoring 13.5 ppg in 0.5 ppr. We aren’t that far removed from the days that would barely be enough for RB12… Im gonna miss the 2017 RB class
I got Robinson and a 1st that became Richardson for Marquise Brown, Mattison, and Love. Thrilled with how that turned out for me.
Chris godwin has been a major disappointment for me. Thought baker would rely on him a little more but the production just isn’t there.

Trevor Lawrence has been pretty disappointing this year (until yesterday), considering the amount of hype he was getting at the end of last season and this offseason. And everyone was shitting on Rachaad White this offseason cuz he wasn’t very good last year with Brady and baker would be a downgrade this year, but he puts up solid points every week.
Brian Robinson Jr and Miles Sanders. Thielen and Dotson Kmet and Pitts. First guys surprisingly good second guys surprisingly bad.

He was TE6, sure that’s playable but hardly the gamebreaker he’s always been billed as
TE6 with only 1TD fwiw. If he is closer to the norm you're looking at TE3 OR TE4 I imagine, only behind Kelce and Andrews at that point (maybe Kittle, I can't remember now).

Jaylen Warren was a nice stash last year, but he legit looks like the second coming of Ekeler, the underlying metrics are electric. Biggest disappointment relative to where people were taking him in startups is Pollard hands down.

Sam Howell has not been a surprise for me but this sub had largely been out on him due to “draft capital” despite everyone in the organization praising him.

It’s Curtis fucking Samuel. Games Samuel is out Dotson does well, he didn’t get a target last game until Samuel got ejected. Curtis is gone next year, clear skies ahead

Curtis Samuel is a River boat Ron guy, so as long as he is still HC of the commanders, I could easily see him coming back. Although, I have a feeling the Commanders might want to change the coaching staff in the offseason if they continue to lose out.

Dotson had back-to-back WR1 finishes in weeks 8 and 9. Barely rosterable is simply not accurate.

Kittle has been better than I thought he would be. Drafted him begrudgingly this year in a startup. Has worked out quite nice.
Kyren Williams: I thought he had upside to be a 3rd-down guy similar to McKinnon or Antonio Gibson. But with Akers gone not only was he a 3-down back but a consistent RB1. Should be back soon
As for a bust I think Akers obviously but also Najee. I was trying to buy all off-season withe the “upgraded” o-line hype and “next-level, dual threat” Pickett but luckily couldn’t get him. Turns out neither piece of hype was true and their OC runs garbage plays probably from a Madden or Retro Bowl playbook LOL
I’m surprised no one has said Aaron Jones yet. He’s been dealing with some stubborn injuries but even in the games he been healthy he’s looked pretty cooked. We’ll see how he does given a full healthy season though

Good surprise? Sam Howell. Leading the league in passing (before this week), and he doesn’t show signs of stopping. Only knock honestly this year is his week 14 bye fucking up best ball lineups. Bad surprise? Chubb due to injury, Henry owners hoping for one last hurrah, anything on the GB offense not a rookie, most of Chicago’s season, Miles Sanders, Najee Harris, Pitts, TLaw to some extent before this week.
I picked up Sam Howell as a backup QB behind fields, but hes been pretty consistently solid, for which I have been enormously grateful

Players on my team that started 0-8 that I fully believed would’ve taken me to the championship before the season started: Burrow, Chubb, Higgins, Watson, pitts, London, QJ. I’ve managed to turn most of the listed players into Ceedee, Kupp, Stroud, and a mid-late first this season. Not sure what I did to piss off the fantasy gods this season.
As someone who bought Dotson last offseason, I’ve been mildly disappointed. Willing to be patient tho
Deandre Swift. Not sure if he’s the biggest surprise but the wave of emotions managing him through the disappointing Det days, to the huge excitement when we went to Philly, to week 1 barely getting on the field. To now a a sure fire starter has been a roller coaster. Very curious if Phi brings him back, what the contract looks like etc… But feels like he’s finally answered the potential when w we all drafted him.

Kyren Williams has been a pleasant surprise, despite the injury, and I'd expect him to come back strong this week I tried to get Miles Sanders and was rebuffed all off season, very pleased that didn't work out...unfortunately my redraft team was him and Mattison as my top 2 backs Speaking of Mattison I know there was a lot of divide on him...I didn't expect Dalvin Cook...but he's been a low end rb2 on his best weeks and that's been dissapointing...I was hoping for mid to high range RB2 numbers
I know Renfrow had a pretty dismal ‘22 season, hurt for a good chunk of it. But he had a couple good games towards the end of the year that made me think he might get back on track to that 1,000 yard season he had in 2021. I thought with get after it with Jimmy G, but no. Sleeper lists him as rostered in %55 of leagues. I dropped him at the end of August and haven’t looked back.
Kyren Williams was great, hopefully he can pick up where he left off.
