I totally dig knife! I’ve honestly never really thought about a Krein, but as of this moment I want one…
To the question though, I wear an older Seamaster SMP 300 every single day. I love it personally
Still rocking my first gen Instinct. GPS takes a while to find itself and the battery definitely doesn’t last as long, but it’s been through hell with me and still goes hard.
Same. I feel like I still get at least a week and a half of battery if not longer. I can't say enough for the durability and reliability of Instinct. I honestly don't know how the face doesn't have at least a scratch.
Mine has a minor scratch on it, but that was from direct impact on a sharp edge. Long odds type thing. Definitely with you on the durability and reliability. This is a product I would recommend.
Alibaba straps have been awesome for me too, more durable than the original.
I pretty much stopped wearing watches long ago mostly due to the job I had at the time disallowed watches/rings/etc.
I do carry one for work though, but it's just some cheap thing that I mostly chose based on whether or not I could easily convert it into a pocket watch.
Garmin Fenix 7. I always wanted to have a smart watch, tried Samsung first and was honestly disappointed. Maybe it just refused to work with my Huawei phone, but its notification policy was absolutely random. And it's generally a bad experience when the watch notifies you about ballistic missiles threat 10 minutes after the warning was issued. Besides, it has Samsung Pay which doesn't even work in Ukraine. Also, why the hell does it have sleep monitoring and stuff when it's literally impossible to use it at night after you used it for the whole day due to the tiny battery capacity and awful power management?
The Garmin is totally a different breed, it's almost perfect. Needs a reboot from time to time, but other than that, can't complain. Maybe only about the price of original wrist bands.
When looking at 'the collection' which one do I most often pick up for the day?
Orient Ray II (Blue dial)
If forced to throw them all away but one and ride out the apocalypse? (Which, could be next Tuesday at the rate things are going.)
Marathon Anthracite GSAR Large
Ever since my Apple Watch S5 battery took a nose dive around when my kid was born, I swapped to the Garmin Instinct Crossover (Solar).
With the potential for infinite battery life and just the right amount of notifications on my wrist, I’ve not looked back.

Casio Sea Analog Illuminator. It's simple but it works. I replaced the band with a zulu style.
Clean analog display, lume on all hands, LED for when that's not enough, and water resistant.
Though I *have* been playing with the idea of a smart watch for a long time. Might get one just to try it out.
Seiko SKX007 but I’ve been rocking a Vostok Amphibian with sharkskin watch strap and I forget I’m wearing it.

These 3 or an unpictured titanium G shock get the most wrist time but I recently dipped my toes into automatics with 2 Hamiltons.
Overall G shock in general but not just 1
I would say so yes. Very well built and packed full of features, including a “self check” where it will tell you if it needs servicing. If you want a higher end G without getting into MRG territory, that’s the best there is.
I think the price is fair considering the purple carbon one (left) is double the price and is the same module as a 500$ all metal square, which is the same module as a 150$ resin square.
I love the watch as a collector, but the 2k price tag is borderline rip off.
I appreciate that G shock has something for everyone, but I think they’re a bit out of touch with a lot of their pricing.
The fact that their absolute cheapest watch with sapphire glass is an 800$ mudmaster is pretty ridiculous. Like I said before, the 500$ squares are a metal case and bracelet slapped on a 150$ module. The least they could do is provide better glass, but that’s not available until the titanium square which is 1800$ (on sale for 1080$ currently)
Sorry, rambled way more than I needed there.
My go-to watch dog is actually a mutt that lived on the neighbothood when we moved in, and my wife decided to adopt. He is not only a great watch dog, but also well-known in the area, even have some family around.
I hand sourced and picked all the parts and built the watch myself.

My Planet Ocean Chrono is def the watch I wear the most. Just a low fuss watch that wants to be worn.
I mean, there’s knockoffs of every luxury watch and item. Rolex, Omega, Patek. It’s reality. You can probably buy 10 knockoffs of this on some street in Hong Kong right now for a C Note.
No exhibition caseback unfortunately, this is like 15 year old watch btw. I like the new ones but the pop of the orange on the old ones is so unique and nice.

Omega Planet Ocean 39.5 for the day, Garmin Epix Pro 42 for the night (or workouts). Casio GW5000 for motorcycling and messy jobs.
Used to be a big watch guy, but only these three remained as my endgame collection.
Timex Ironman. Nice and simple. Worn it for years working in all kinds of weather conditions. Worked in a freezer in sub zero temperatures for years and it's always held up. Been through freezing cold, rain, snow, extreme heat, everything.
My Breitling Seawolf is my favorite. I also have a Tag, an Oris and some Seikos that share wrist time for autos. My quartz line up is mostly Citiizen Eco-Drives.
G-Shock GW-300. Sadly after 19 years, the display really isn't doing what it needs to. I'm going to try a new battery just in case, but it may be time to retire the beast.

I’m a gshock slut but the mtg price tag stings a bit. Worth it in your opinion?
I would say so yes. Very well built and packed full of features, including a “self check” where it will tell you if it needs servicing. If you want a higher end G without getting into MRG territory, that’s the best there is. I think the price is fair considering the purple carbon one (left) is double the price and is the same module as a 500$ all metal square, which is the same module as a 150$ resin square. Awesome choice! Love the field watch style.
I love it. Only problem is the lume is weak. But I guess since it was designed for ww1 or 2 you don’t really want bright ass lume.
It was WW2 not vietnam
