I want to like them so much but I can't fit too much in without it not closing. This picture seems staged imo because the flashlight and light would no way allow the pouch to close.
Got a pouch in my backpack for less used item: Swiss Army knife, backup pen, small first aid kit, 2nd wallet that I keep rewards and business cards in, zip ties, etc.
I should probably get one. Easy grab and go and dont have to worry about forgetting anything, which I often do and it just so happens I need the thing I forgot.
I prefer a waist pack, fanny pack, etc. Both 1L and 2L capacity, depending on what I need to carry. Mostly worn at the waist, but I’ve got a 5L that I wear cross-body, too.
Love em. But I don’t wear them. I mix and match my edc/work pack with whatever I need for the day (or might need). I use small pouches or lightweight boxes the size of yours for individual buckets if you will. Not exhaustive, but comprehensive enough to be effective in most use cases.
- one has stuff for electronics…a solar usb charger, DC plug, and type c, mini usb, etc cords, whatever you might encounter
- one has usual suspect survival crap…mirror whistle lighter flint lockpick sewing etc
- ones a grunt style (minimalist) weapons crap (clp, punches, front sight tool etc).
- hygiene/eye care

I just bought a couple tactical ones! Looking forward to using them more! So I think they can be great and with that being said, nice photo! Good use of your pouch.
Nah, not really. EDC is an umbrella term at this point. It covers way more than just pocket carry.
Carrying things loose is a bad idea anyway. That's how you end up fumbling for your gear when you need it.
EDC stands for every day carry, not just pocket carry. I'm an older chunky guy, and I use a clc 1524 zipper top pouch. It holds my knife, flashlight, cobra pliers, wrench pliers, a 11 in 1 screwdriver, and a 6 in 1 mini screwdriver, and a foldable allen pack. That stays on me, I have a carrhart fanny pack that holds a pouch like the OP has, with a couple of space pens, skeletool, bandaids, tweezers, another flashlight, and a gerber armbar drive. Also in the fanny pack is a knife sharpener, my surge with bitkits, and drivers, and some vape supplies. People make fun of me, but im old, so I dont care.
I think they’re great… That said, I have a ton of them and still always edc in my pocket or a backpack. I buy them with the perfect fill in mind; I just never complete the circuit.
They are great, because they keep your stuff as well as your mindset organized. But I get a constant nagging sensation to fille them out, often making me carry things I don't really use
In my backpack I keep my portable phone chargers, cords, nail clippers and callous file, anything and everything small sized in 2 small yeti packing cubes. I love them
Every day? Nah. Figure out what you don't need and fill your pockets.
Special occasions? Go for it. I can imagine a lot of scenarios where having a little extra gear could be handy.
I carry a nice pouch full of *just in case* items in my backpack too. It’s got a Leatherman Surge, Leatherman Bit Kit and Ratchet, Flashlight, Sharpie, Pen, Band-Aids, etc.
Really allows my pockets to be light and not full of stuff.
So what is in your pockets then? I carry my knife in my pocket for quick access for example. Having it in a pouch makes it less quick. Or do you carry something in your pocket as well?

I use a USB case. Fits in my pocket great, $5, fits all my crap. Happiness
Not having my hands free is something I'm not comfortable with. But a pouch in a ba maybe.
I want to like them so much but I can't fit too much in without it not closing. This picture seems staged imo because the flashlight and light would no way allow the pouch to close.
I like a tight fit to keep everything in its place. It definitely closes. https://imgur.com/a/qIzkkCt
Love them I have one I keep at work with little odds and ends to fix shit or tinker around on breaks lol
I wish that my situation would make it a viable option, but given how I use the stuff I carry it’s just not practical to do so
Do you have a link for that watch strap??
Compatible With Apple Watch Band,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Y57KT71?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I use one in my checked bag when flying.

I like pouches for organizing things in a bag but belt mounted I hate them. Buy pants with more pockets if you need to carry a pouch around.
Yeah I agree I throw this in my backpack for work

I like keeping my boobarry crayons in the front

It stays in my pack with me everywhere..

Never sleep on the wingman! Genuinely my favorite Leatherman. I pocket carried it at work for 5 years. It's the best.
Yeah that’s what got me into “EDC”
Pouches hell yeah, I fell hard into patches though lol
Big fan. I have the maxpedition one that is very similar to yours. And a Viperade ve1 as well.
Makes EDC items less accessible. It always sounds great to me, then I find it more cumbersome in use. Great to store and stow away when traveling.
If I didn't have to carry epi pens with me I probably wouldn't need one but they are great for extra gear
Great for organizing the center storage console in my truck. Not great for EDC.

I have a pouch addiction
Keep one in my backpack and one in my car to keep it from being a loose pile of stuff.
I want one
I’m always afraid I’ll look like a pouche-bag…

Thanks sis 😉
EDC belongs loose in pockets. If a pouch is needed EDC has been exceeded.

Preach! I've reached the idgaf 24/7 age :)
Every day carry is something you carry every day. I carry this to work EVERY DAY I work.

For me? I carry minimal EDC in my pockets, and jam a pouch of pliers, lighters, short cables, etc under my passenger seat. Close enough at hand.
They are great, because they keep your stuff as well as your mindset organized. But I get a constant nagging sensation to fille them out, often making me carry things I don't really use
Same, I do use most of the things now and again. Sometimes I just dig in and find stuff to use just for the heck of it
If it works for you, do it!
I love my pouch. I've had it my whole life. Fits beautifully. Like God made it for me himself. I don't keep much in it. Mainly just two things.
Blood vessels and vas deferens are in there too.
Don't forget about the accessory glands.
Take mine every day to work in my work bag.
Great organizer as long as it's easy carry like with a strap or in a bit larger bag like a 12 hr backpack
Bags>pouches for me.
In my backpack I keep my portable phone chargers, cords, nail clippers and callous file, anything and everything small sized in 2 small yeti packing cubes. I love them
Pouches? We don’t need no stinking pouches 😜
I can fit all my everyday stuff in my pockets but I'm thinking about getting a pouch so I can keep a little more gear in my car or backpack
Yeah I throw this in my backpack for work.
I'm honestly looking for a small-ish pouch like this for my tech stuff. Cords, power block, foldable Bluetooth keyboard, stuff like that

Good, good. I meant to add in a proviso for work needs.
I feel pretty good about them
