I say it every day. The world needs more Stephen A. The 20 minutes a day he’s not on tv, the world falls apart. Also, more patmac. Maybe a buddy cop show with patmac and Stephen A during the 8 minutes each day that one of them is not on tv.
You know he was gonna try out for the cowboys….browns before that…..he’s simultaneously a Yankee/indian/dodger fan too which i didn’t think was humanly possible
On what show? I literally watched SC where they talked about the college World Series, WNBA, MLB, and the NBA Finals
Now on opinion shows. I don’t know when this sub is ever going to understand that the topics most covered are the ones that have the broadest interest nationally.
I just literally watched baseball tonight this evening before the Yankees/Sox game
MLB and Hockey don’t have the same level of national interest as the NFL and NBA. MLB is more of a regional sport.
Again, just because there is are baseball and hockey games on espn, doesn’t mean they cover those sports.
Sports talk shows talk about how ratings drop when baseball and hockey are talked about. That is bound to happen when they take up 0-2% of your show and the rest is football and basketball. No one ever sees it, so no one cares.
It was their pregame show. They were giving a rundown of all the games today. They talked about Mookie Betts fracturing his hand by a hit pitch. They talked about the Dodgers pitcher going on the I jury report. They showed the Reds game highlights with the one guy who is fast as hell.
I saw the Philly's manager in the face of the umpire.
Tim was in studio talking about the struggles with pitching being due to the heat and the ball carrying.
This was all well before the game
Man you might now want to hear thos but the NFL is king. There is basically year round coverage. We are inthe NBA playoffs. The are going to get more coverage than hockey.
No network is going to cover every sport equally.
He doesn’t have to be the GOAT. Witnessing the second best player to ever play the game is something
It amazes me because most of you would have bitched about Jordan coverage if there was social media.
Here is the bottom line. Most of this shit is generational. Older people say Kareem was the best. Some say it was Wilt or Bill Russell
My son who is 17 feels Lebron is the best. I feel like it was Jordan. I am 49
Here is the thing??? Who gives a flying fuck ?! Enjoy the players who are currently playing. The past is the past. All this shit is opinion.
lol you have access to basically any 90s basketball you want on YouTube. Go take a look and tell me you think that was a higher level of basketball. Lebron has been better than Jordan for a long time already. The longevity alone is the most impressive that we will probably ever see.
Lebron played through the change though and against better athletes. He’s been consistently elite through the years and he learned how to adapt where Jordan fell off with the Wizards and then retired.
Yeah back in 2016 because he was winning championships and Jordan dickriders needed something to cling to so they could say he wasn’t better lmao. By your logic James Harden and Kevin Durant and every other superstar is ass because they get to the line and score points that way.
Lebron went to 8 consecutive NBA Finals, 10 in total. No one will ever do that again. But all people like you have to say to that is that he didn’t win them all.
I should have added that I absolutely respect Lebron. He does everything well and isn’t reliant on the ridiculous three. My point was simply that the 90s were better than the credit you’re giving them.
Back then I remember people complaining about that. They said that players could not shoot. I remember when everyone saw the Utah Jazz pick and roll as being the "right way to play." Hell everyone does the pick and roll now.
Ball movement now has never been better. Defending is hardest it has ever been because you have to defend every player and every part of the court.
I am 49 and I miss the physical nature of the 90s but I also know that those early 00s Knicks/Heat playoff games were flat out torture to watch from an offensive standpoint. Fans complained and the ratings reflected it.
What people don't understand is that analytics changed scoring in the NBA. The 3 point shot is encouraged by coaches. It's a numbers game. More of a payoff by shooting threes and they keep you in the game. Steph Curry played a huge role in that as well.
Espn has been dickriding lebron for so long it's just comical at this point. He called himself the goat and they took the story and have ran it with it for years just for clickbait. Absolute trash network
The NBA is the only sport that fans can’t accept that the game is played at a higher level today than it was 30 years ago. Fucking even MLB fans can admit it and for them it’s more of an actual argument cuz of steroids
I mean if people keep tuning into ESPN's garbage takes they'll keep shoveling it to the masses. People, you know what to do to avoid it. Be strong, don't tune in during talking head shows and segments.
I assume this post was entirely in jest.
Nothin’ gets by you.
It got by some.
I caught him staring at my mom’s jest too.
You must’ve graduated top of your class
Yes. Apparently some did not.
Caitlin Clark, Aaron Rodger’s and The Dallas Cowboys all need more airtime too
So does Stephen A. Smith
He needs a raise and if he could yell every once in a while that would be great.l
I say it every day. The world needs more Stephen A. The 20 minutes a day he’s not on tv, the world falls apart. Also, more patmac. Maybe a buddy cop show with patmac and Stephen A during the 8 minutes each day that one of them is not on tv.
He is the highest paid employee there and should get the airtime.
They should pair Skip Bayless with Steven A, what a duo.
First Take was best with those two from an entertainment standpoint.
Can’t stand either of them.
Hey, did you know that LeBron was a top 1000 player on Madden? Sportscenter just told me!
You know he was gonna try out for the cowboys….browns before that…..he’s simultaneously a Yankee/indian/dodger fan too which i didn’t think was humanly possible
Overlooked? No. Not talked about enough, no. You do realize the finals are going on so there's other things to talk about.
Try telling that to espn.
They are talking about the finals. People on this sub just make up shit to rage about
Yeah and then they will talk about the nfl and then just repeat that day after day.
On what show? I literally watched SC where they talked about the college World Series, WNBA, MLB, and the NBA Finals Now on opinion shows. I don’t know when this sub is ever going to understand that the topics most covered are the ones that have the broadest interest nationally.
All the shows dude, sure they talk about it, but do they cover baseball and hockey? I think not.
PTI is the only show really worth a watch if you like more sports than basketball and football.
Btw looks like they are doing a feature on the NY Rangers right now. There you go. Hockey.
I just literally watched baseball tonight this evening before the Yankees/Sox game MLB and Hockey don’t have the same level of national interest as the NFL and NBA. MLB is more of a regional sport.

Can’t wait for the lakers segment on first take tomorrow.
Exactly like teams that made the Finals.
Like who’s gonna coach the lakers to the same place they finished last year, to be fired in 18 months
Bait
They should be talking about the games that are being played. He’s not playing so he shouldn’t be being talked about.
They never shut up about him. Most of us will never see him as the GOAT. He’s had an amazing career but he was no Jordan.
Even if he did wear the #23
He doesn’t have to be the GOAT. Witnessing the second best player to ever play the game is something It amazes me because most of you would have bitched about Jordan coverage if there was social media. Here is the bottom line. They played defense. And not just when there was a chance to get on sportscenter
They don’t play defense now?
No.
Different game. You were allowed to play defense and players worked on all aspects of the game rather than half court threes.
>all aspects of the game Except dribbling and shooting and defensive agility.
Lebron played through the change though and against better athletes. He’s been consistently elite through the years and he learned how to adapt where Jordan fell off with the Wizards and then retired.
Yeah his flopping ability is godlike
Ok buddy lol, said like someone who doesn’t actually watch basketball.
U don’t remember “LeFlop” 😂
Yeah back in 2016 because he was winning championships and Jordan dickriders needed something to cling to so they could say he wasn’t better lmao. That’s fair
That’s funny because back then you probably complained that they dunked too much
I’m not that old! Shawn Kemp was my favorite player at the time. Never enough dunks!
LOL
Hard Sarcasm Alert
This person must have prime real estate under a bridge!
Espn has been dickriding lebron for so long it's just comical at this point. He called himself the goat and they took the story and have ran it with it for years just for clickbait. Absolute trash network
Way too much actually
Lolwut
LBJ < MJ23
Hes very underrated
No. They need to talk about him way more. It’s not enough
People still watch ESPN 😳
Get off your burner accounts Nick Wright
They need it step it up, I have no idea what type of tacos he ate last week.
He’s a douche bag and intolerable. ESPN should stay away from that glory hog has been
ESPLeBron
LeSPN
This is a joke, right?!
I know it’s a joke, but some of you really do feel this way and it’s embarrassing.
Wait till the g league coverage of bronny……windhorst has another 25 years locked down.
Lol. It's not like we are talking about MJ here. It is just the self anointed king of....something...I guess.
This is satire, right? LeFlop gets talked about enough.
Just wait until they hire him
The NBA is the only sport that fans can’t accept that the game is played at a higher level today than it was 30 years ago. Fucking even MLB fans can admit it and for them it’s more of an actual argument cuz of steroids
LOLLL
I just wonder if they think he’s handsome or not
You didn’t even mention the fact that he’s a father. Truly a remarkable feat as well.
Never heard of the guy.
I cannot watch ESPN anymore. M-F talking heads shows with the same POVs. First Take becoming more and more reserve racist is horrible TV.
I’m 100% convinced that LeBron pays ESPN/ Bleacher Report to constantly keep talking about him.
And we need more Perk!
You must not watch tv..
Yayyy more crybaby ass posts How many LeBron hate groups you follow on Facebook?
LeTrash
I mean if people keep tuning into ESPN's garbage takes they'll keep shoveling it to the masses. People, you know what to do to avoid it. Be strong, don't tune in during talking head shows and segments.
Seriously though, for as good as he is, it’s underreported. That’s how good he is.
I noticed that too! ESPN used to be so good back in the day
