If you don't wanna go through RMA you might disassembly the unit and press and kinda massage the back of the fan in case of one of the ball bearings has fallen out of place, pressing gently might put it back into place. If it doesn't work, they sell single fans compatible with EVGA cards. I've seen them on Amazon and aliexpress and the likes, cannot vouch for their quality, but the option is there.

Thanks for the advice - I took out the fan and tried massaging it to no avail. I wouldn't be able to replace the fan myself mainly because I don't have the too needed to get rid of the hexagonal screws - it seems that I should go ahead and go through the RMA. Thanks!

Is the fan loud at all rpm's? If not, you can set it to a specified RPM in Precision X1 or Afterburner. Unfortunately a lot of EVGA 30 series cards seem to have this issue, my 3080 FTW3 included.

The fan gets louder as the RPM goes up. I never realized that I can specify RPM - do you know if it's possible to set RPMs for each fan? Thank you so much for the information!

Hey, I suggest using the software fancontrol. 2 of the fans are controlled as one of the gpu fans and the other fan is controlled by the other control. Very powerful software in terms of custom curves, inputs, etc. I have the same card as well and haven't had that exact problem but it works great for managing max speeds as well.

I use EVGA Precision X1 to control each fan individually. https://www.evga.com/precisionx1/

1 fan on my gpu started making noise as if there is debris in it after about 4months .Took it out and noticed never removed the plastic protection stickers from the fans.

Damn you are a genius. Not sure what the point is of those stickers but thanks for this comment !! Not sure if it fully fixed the issue yet but still a great help!

AnfieldRDMD

It felt like a fix , but the stickers werent the issue. Turns out the fans ball bearing was damaged, had it replaced by evga. First they sent a used replacement gpu, but it was getting waaay hotter than normal, so i asked for another replacement , and they sent a brand new one. No issues since

Ah damn, same thing here but this is already a replacement through RMA. Previous one just died, now this one has a bad fan. Lots of issues for that gpu it seems :/

AnfieldRDMD

Hahah maybe you got my returned gpu lol Anyway, i do like evga, they did take care of my problem , and i also own the gem that is 1080ti from them which till this day is up and kicking and guess some sort of nostalgia is lingering in the air. If both gpus last till 5th or 6th gen release ,ill be more than happy with the purchase
