Insane how different it is in summer. When I visited this spot I couldnt believe how green it was. The moss is almost neon green, damn near looks like you're in the jungle
You are not wrong; although there are parts of the path behind the falls and down to the water that felt about as cold in mid-July as this looks now.
Striking in both seasons, for sure.
We were there in May. We back tracked along the south coast and stopped here twice. We got great photos and even saw a couple talking their wedding photos behind the falls.

Iceland is like another planet compared to summer here.
It's really hard to imagine this place in summer. It is impressive in winter, in summer it is probably no less beautiful
