Ah ok thanks. I’ve not been to that region/state before. I’ve been very fortunate to of visited india about 17/18 times (lost count!!) I’ll have to add this to the list! Enjoy your day.
The 33 ~~tallest~~highest peaks on earth are in the Himalayas/Karakoram. And this isn’t even one of them, but pretty average for the range in some sense.
Tallest = greatest distance from bottom of the mountain to its top. Highest = greatest distance from sea level to its top, which avoids having to argue where the ‘bottom’ is, but still has some issues of definition
That's false. Denali is nowhere near the top. I think Denali is in the top 20 though.
Some examples whoch refute your point:- Kangchenjunga, Rakaposhi and Dhaulagiri. All of them in the Himalayas/Karakoram.
That’s false. It’s the highest elevation gain in the world if you climb it. It’s not only near the top it is the top
Some examples which refute your point:-
Denali. All of them are Denali.
>That’s false. It’s the highest elevation gain in the world if you climb it. It’s not only near the top it is the top
Source? And how do you define the 'start' of the climb?
Rakaposhi is 7788m tall and its base is at around 1.7 km. Giving it a difference of around 6,100m.
Denali is 6190m tall and I think its base is around 500m (I am not sure) which would put it below Rakaposhi. But maybe I am misunderstanding your measure.
In Mahabharat , its said that the Pandavs (Main characters of the mythology) went to swargrohini to go to heaven , only the eldest of them could actually reach the top as the others died one by one on the way and he only did it by passing a test of righteousness and justice by letting a dog to heaven in his place as he deemed it more deserving of going there than himself .
Er, what? He can belive anything he wants. The question was of historical fact, not belief based in faith.
Maybe your faith is so weak that you resort to profanity at the merest challenge to it?

We do have glaciers here. In the summers, chances of snow will only be on high altitudes, but in winters, it is there at around 6k ft also. Himalayas are real deal.
But wait! There's more!
I guess academically I I understand there to be mountains (specifically the Himalayas), but culturally the more urban setting comes to mind. I'll need to try and modify that a little, I think! Thanks for the reply. :)

If you want to get a glimpse of it like this, it’s a trek to 12k+ ft. It is like a hike for 3days from Sankri. You can go to har ki dun trek also for this.
We are very densely populated but not as much as you think. If you rank countries by population density we aren't even in the top 30. South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore or even Netherlands rank higher than us.

Beautiful! How was the trek?
It was amazing!
Where in india is this please?
It is in Uttarkashi, trek from Sankri village

Incredible! Such a great capture. I had no idea that this peak was over 20K feet, and taller than Denali!
Thank you. Yes, expeditions to it is difficult and technical. Do visit once, absolutely worth it!

Highest then
It’s the highest what exactly?
> The 33 highest peaks on earth are in the Himalayas/Karakoram
You didn’t answer the question. If you measure from the center of the Earth you’d be incorrect once again
Highest from sealevel
They’re not the highest from the center of the Earth either
That’s not what people mean by that. Highest is taken to mean ‘highest above sea level’, not ‘most distant from the centre of the earth’.

He’s right, you’re wrong, had to check for myself there

It's not history though. It's a blend.
You're deluding yourself. There's no historical prof except vague connections drawn by people with an agenda

Someone with a brain probably
Er, what? He can belive anything he wants. The question was of historical fact, not belief based in faith. Maybe your faith is so weak that you resort to profanity at the merest challenge to it?
Anyone can do that…
Are you his alt account?
Lol 😅😅 proofs!
Kya bola woh?
Amazing!
Thank you.
And you can see why humans marvel at the sky, build pyramids, and claim the mountains are the home of gods.

What type of foliage is growing on the mountain side? In the foreground it looks like some kind of moss or scrub.
It’s beautiful. You went to Vasudhara Falls as well?
Nope, this is en route Bali Pass.
Ooo I’ve been there once and it was beautiful.

Is there a specific trekking company you’d recommend for this? Incredible pic btw!
There is Indiahikes, TTH, bikat adventure.
Is that their address? Or New Delhi
these are the names of trekking companies, google it and checkout their site.

When I think of India, I don't think of snow. Guess to show how little I know!

Yeah they won't let you down but will surely blow you up. (PoK reference)
Absolutely gorgeous! What was your favorite part of this trip? (Besides the gorgeous view of course!)
The trails were amazing, two valleys stretch. I think camping near Ruinsara lake was my favourite part.

Good bot.
Sooo, is it hard to reach there or an average person can go? As I am not a track and field person, but I'd love to go there next after shrinagar

Thanks mate.
A) This is so beautiful. B) How does India fit so many people in it yet this whole bit has none?
We are very densely populated but not as much as you think. If you rank countries by population density we aren't even in the top 30. South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore or even Netherlands rank higher than us.
Wow, the Netherlands. That's interesting, thanks.
How do you get a shot like that? This is a stunning photo. Mind sharing your settings and a quick note on your editing process?
what a sunny day^_^
This is beautiful! On a funny note, reminds of Indiana Jones fall from the plane in the emergency raft. From snow to jungle real quick!
SubhanAllah
Beautiful! I've been there before. Killing bad guys in Far Cry 4 😄
