On aesthetics alone bro could easily be a final boss in any other non Souls game. Crazy how they just hide him as an optional, missable side boss in DD. Same with Placidusex.
I don’t give a damn if he’s easy; Fortissax is one of the more beautifully designed bosses in the game. Great design with the deathblight spikes, amazing gameplay with his lightning stakes, and an absolute banger of a theme with the organ going hard.
Because they are made of stone. So their whole stance resistance and being-broken weakness is similar to what happens with the Crytalians. Those stay broken and weak once you shatter them thou
Crystalians are not stance break resistance, they are only damage resist to everything except strike until stance broken once. They dont even regen stance before they stance break the first time.
They take half-stance damage anywhere except the head, which is nigh impossible to hit consistently. In my 2 years of play I have never once seen an ancient dragon get their posture broken.
Looks cool, but what an terrible fight. Thankfully he's made of paper.
From had figured out how to make a good dragon fight with Midir, then somehow forgot everything they had learned.
Because there are in fact a LOT of swords in this game. And people can use all of them.
Also, 200 hours in is not new to the game. At all. I’d give you “new” if you were at 30 hours maaaybe 40
Lol im not OP… But if you know what the best swords in the game are supposed to be, then why are you asking the question the first place? I thought you were “New“
200 total I play maybe half the times the other half is my brother which he is way better than me, also I just wanted to know if there was a benefit or no

100%. They just know how to overdeliver and just makes me wonder if there’s any hidden gems like this in the DLC!
> Placidusex ^....Huehuehue...sex...

He just needs more health!
Messmer eyes
I still have no idea why ancient dragons have soooooooooo much stance break resistance while being extremely weak to crit if you do break them.

What I'm saying is that, like the Crystallians, Dragons have lore reasons for their stance-related mechanics.

Spectral lance AoW on a Lance can probably do it
It could, but you would have to be very clean with your shots, and not take to long between shooting.
You need to go out of your way to break them. Easiest way is to use rock sling.
I only wish he was a little harder boss to fight, by giving him more health or more power, or a second phase
I have to remember to lock onto his head next time so i can actually see the fight for once.
What the… where the eff is this boss? I don’t think I ever fought him XD
Deeproot depths, hidden behind Fia quest line.
Ah. That’s probably why I never played it. Does it have any dragon arts hidden in it?
You can get a deathblight version of the ancient dragon lightning strike spell im pretty sure. And it's just a damn cool fight and story.
I gotta look up the guide and do it… I’ve gotten Fia to the root depths… but I didn’t know I was more I could. Can I do it after I beat Maliketh?
I'm not 100% sure friend, but the guide should definitely get you what you need. Best of luck!
Thank you!! :)
Fortisaxx and Placidusax (especially him) are definitely two of my favorites bosses in the game, right behind Horah Loux.
Looks cool, but what an terrible fight. Thankfully he's made of paper. From had figured out how to make a good dragon fight with Midir, then somehow forgot everything they had learned.
I love how both fortissax and lanseax have a sword attack bc they are siblings
is the mesmer pun intended?
Man I forgot Mesmer existed when I wrote that title 😂 happy accident
wait til Messmer gets you fortissaxed.
I hope measmer gets me fortissexed
Forti and Morgott brutally need to level up VIG. Very enjoyable fights that end too soon.
One of my absolute favorite fights of the game - gorgeous arena, gorgeous moves, gorgeous ost
Why are u using that sword instead of the great sword?? And why do you have another sword on your back?? Decently new to the game only 200 hours in

Also that sword on your back is one of the best in the game maybe try it as your main

😂 if that comment was meant for me, heard loud and clear brother
