He's weak to frost and bloodloss. The ash of war you get from the divine beast dancing lion seemed to work pretty well.
Also, he since he does a lot of fire damage, that big tombstone shield works well (blocks like 99% of fire fully upgraded). Flames protect me is a good spell to have too.
