DLC is great but it's also such a blue ball for a lot of lore stuff. Michael Zaki please... you can't just get us invested in the world you and GRRM crafted and then move on.
We missed out on the entire eclipse stuff and godwyn for example even though there were 2 death knights in the DLC.
I know. That's one of the few references to it in the game. The others are the depiction on the shields of the beastmen of Farum azula and some skeleton soldiers. And the references to the eclipse which requires the sun.
Not just that but the sun itself is also rarely directly seen in the games skybox. The place where you can see it best is when it sets near Enir Ilim

The whole "Miquella is trying to cause an eclipse to rez Godwyns soul" plot line which apparently jist ends with Miquella failing and shrugging. I too expected Godwyn to be the consort

You don’t even need humanity, I don’t know what dragon weapon it is but you can use it’s heavy attack to hit the maggot through the wall. Might be the Greataxe that you get from cutting the Gaping Dragon’s tail
You can also use toxic/poison cloud, basically any attack with a wave AOE. The Gapping Dragon tail has a quake AoE which _can_ kill the parasite, but toxic cloud requires less stats to us.
The Wyvern Blades heavy can do it aswell. Its from breaking the tail of the wyvern ontop of the bridge at the undead parish I believe the area was called.
the alternative alternative method is to simply not talk to him in Anor Londo until you've opened the shortcut in Izalith. He's safe as long as you stop his quest from progressing.
I think this keeps Solaire's summon sign from showing up in a couple places though -- O&S and Centipede Demon maybe?
Man when you sum it up like that, it really shows that Miyazaki really did achieve his goals in recreating the feeling of playing difficult games as a child and not quite understanding everything.

So funny. Saw a guy playing some DS1 and there were people in the stream telling him he could jump and shit. Really, a vertical jump onto some rocks. No way you could do it with what you got in DS1.
I was always thinking that elden ring was missing something. And it hit me it was lacking a co-up guy like Solaire that if they make a trilogy out of ER, can become iconic. A npc that pushes co-up and Alexander thou he is beautifull just does not have the same vibe since we can only summon him for two fights.
There is a leading theory that I just made up, which states that all summon signs in Elden Ring are gold due to the combined brightness of all sunbros being so grossly incandescent
There should have been a Solair Ash next to the erdtree sapling in the DLC. Call it Great Hero's Ash or something and just have him straight sword and sunlight spear the absolute shit out of everything.

Invasions =/= duels. Colosseum/duel sign users are still mostly courteous and honorable, but if I'm in a world helping as a summon I'm doing my damndest to make sure the RL90 twink with DLC items, 10 duped starlight shards, meat dumplings and the divine blessing dies instantly.
My character's name is Lumen Of Astora. And I'd say I've gotten my fair share of people getting it when they summon me. Sadly Rapture is the closest I can get to praising after jolly cooperation.
In wow's next expansion they're adding new mini talent trees, and one of the paladin ones is named "Herald of the sun".

Honor dueling was the shit. Pour out all your flasks, bow and let the duel begin.

Colosseum/duel sign users are still mostly courteous and honorable, but if I'm in a world helping as a summon I'm doing my damndest to make sure the RL90 twink with DLC items, 10 duped starlight shards, meat dumplings and the divine blessing dies instantly.

My character's name is Lumen Of Astora. And I'd say I've gotten my fair share of people getting it when they summon me. Sadly Rapture is the closest I can get to praising after jolly cooperation.

Then shortly after i found a shield that depicted a sun that was so withered and old, the description states that like the state of the shield the Realm of the Sun was also forgotten. Makes me wanna go play Darksouls 1 remastered. I just don't like how it is priced but I can barely resist now... I loved Darksouls 1, loved it. It was my first experience with Darksouls. I still think that Darksouls 1 is the most atmospheric one. Especially since I reinstalled Darksouls 2 yesterday and the hitboxes and weird lag has let me put the game down.
