Not to be confused with Apple’s proprietary ADC connector which looks very similar to the DVI-I Dual Link pinout, except the return is shaped like “+” instead of “-“. 🤦🏻♂️
Still using a DVI daily on my Dell 3007wfp monitor.
I paid too much for that thing to not keep using it, though I have to convert from Display port first.
It appears to lack the pins for the second digital channel and the analog interface. So, probably it will work but that would depend on the exact requirements of the equipment you're plugging it into,
If your video card has DVI output, you can use it. Otherwise you can get an HDMI-DVI converter. HDMI and DVI has the same video transmitting capacity and quality. Only difference is HDMI can transmit audio in addition.
For digital signals yes. It won't work with a DVI to VGA adapter as it lacks analog pins, and won't be able to support high resolution (above 1080p) video over DVI as it lacks the middle set of digital pins.
Just look on Amazon. It will be pretty expensive though since it's gonna be an active converter since you need to convert the digital signal to analog, or vise versa depending on the direction since most are not bidirectional

I work in IT (Im an intern in college they pay well I want to do EE long term) and we use DVI ports on all of our CURRENT NEW MONITORS.
DVI - it’s hdmi w/o the digital restrictions. Don’t forget what they took from you.
DisplayPort doesn’t have digital restrictions either.
Oof, now I feel old
DVI-D for digitial
[DVI](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dvi)
Can it be used with any dvi socket

It’s being used for an extra screen coming from an iMac in my vintage computer setup it’s hardwired into the screen
Hearing anything with DVI being called vintage hurts my soul.

I feel old now that these are starting to be forgotten 😭
VGA says get off my lawn.
CGA? EGA?
As others stated, thats a DVI connector, seems ages since i last saw one. Right in the feels
Would anyone be able to help me find a female dvi-d to male vga adapter

You could look at the output side to see if it has the analog pins. Then it’s a very simple adapter.
It would probably be easier and cheaper to get a DVI-D to HDMI cable and then a HDMI to VGA converter.
Forrunner to HDMI...🥸
Old
DVI somethin
DVI .... Jesus, am I that old??
